I'm a bit disappointed...I was hoping he would have chosen Bill Richardson. Two minorities running the White House, that would have been great for the country.

I feel like this entire blog proves one thing - the party is divided and unfortunately this VP choice did nothing to unify it. Tomorrow he will give his reasoning. Whether you support the ticket or not, things are not good for the Democratic party. It became too personal - and do not blame it on Hillary or Obama. It was the media. I really believe that. This race became sexist and racist and nobody wants to admit it.

I just hope there are no skeletons in Biden's closet that may be exposed between now and then. I would have liked Hilary better. But Biden's foreign policy committee experience is indeed a big plus. Overall, I'm looking for a close race but (depending on whom McCain chooses) I still believe Obama will pull it out.

I love Hillary too but to not vote for Obama bc he didn't pick her isn't rational, it's childish. We have a lot of big problems facing our nation and we can't afford to leave them to McCain. All of us Hillary lovers need to just take a deep breadth and think of the bigger picture... the economy, the war, and our families.
The "big" picture has been here for quite some time and we will get threw it. The "good old boys" club needs to be taught a lesson. We will vote for McCain. Obama cannot be trusted and he has a very poor decision making track record. Michelle, his wife, runs this whole thing anyway; she would have never wanted Hillary. She probably doesn't even like us.

Then you and your "good company" need to reconcile the fact that many of the issues that led you to support Hillary (i.e., healthcare, repairing the economy, ending the war in Iraq and avoiding future, similar wars, and the environment) may possibly be lost because your candidate wasn't selected. As we learned the hard way with the last election, not voting is not an option. Will you now vote for McCain? You back a candidate bc of the issues, not bc of the candidate. None of them are perfect, but Obama is much closer on the issues with Hillary than any other - remember the debates and how little they differed on the issues...

For fun, I went back and tracked PA DEMOCRAT's comments and sure enough CA Dave seems to be stalking him/her and posting the exact same response each time... Dave, are you the designated blocker for this particular poster, so terrified of the comment that you have to immediately try and denounce him/her as a "spy"? Are people not allowed to have individual thoughts as Democrats?

Leave it to my fellow democrats to again snatch defeat from the mouth of victory. Hillary Clinton would have much improved his chances of winning in the fall by delivering a larger number of undecideds like me. Biden is a skilled guy but will bring no change in the popular vote or electoral college. I've never missed an election for the dems - since my state will easily go for Obama, I am sitting this one out.
