She makes no difference. Now that the Clintons have turned the convention into a soap opera, so she can run in 2012, McIdiot may win. Horro

It would be a sad day if she were the First Lady. I will not forget her comments about being proud of this country for the first time in her life. As a PROUD American, I will always be proud of this great nation and would advise any one who is not to feel free to leave. America is the land of the free because of the sacrifices of past generations. If this were a public speaking contest, Obama would win hands down. I do not agree with John McCain on every position. However, I do not question this man's patriotism. Yes, both candiates are very wealthy men, as most in Washington are. McCain has more experience and put his life on the line for this country, which in turn gets my vote.

        One PROUD American,

        Joel Tumlin

can you think of anything better to say. You knew exactly what she was saying. Please tell me you are one of those perfect people and something that you were trying to say did not come out the exact way you wanted to say it. One thing about us, we are not in front of cameras and can say, let me say this a different way because I do not want anyone to misunderstand what i was trying to say. Stop looking for excuses to not like Michelle. If you dont like her for some reason, just say a truthful reason and let go of the Republican talking points. If we want to go there, How could McCain not even know who was fighting who in Iraq? How many houses he has? things of this sort.

I think Michelle will do fine and if people were OPEN minded and listened, how could they not know that they are humble Americans who worked really hard to get where they are. That is the values that I want to pass on to my children letting them know that with hard work, you can achieve anything.

Come with something new, you are really boring me. We been there and done that. You must be one of the perfect people in the world that have not EVER been associated with someone who said something you did not agree with. Do you even know the definition of a unifier? My eyes are wide open and watching negative people like you and wish that you would educate yourself more and learn more about the issues instead of slinging insulting comments. Also, McCain has a lot of skeletons in his closet and since you are such a unifier, why dont you talk about them also. Unify all of the issues not just one.

sometimes, the truth hurts. By the way, John McCain has 7 houses. I hope he gets his newest residence on Pennsylvania Avenue (thats the White House) just in case you were wondering. I would love to hear more about McCain's skeletons. Mr. McCain put his life on the line for the great nation, which this "inperfect" American appreciates. I don't think any one candiate has all the answers. I will admit that Barack Obama is a terrific public speaker, but in this time we need a strong leader to back up the talk.

            Sincerely,

            Inperfect in so many ways.

            P.S. I SINCERELY mean that....

The conservative leadership in Washington, DC:

Misled the American people into an endless war in Iraq that has made the United States less safe, has resulted in the death and injury of thousands of American troops and Iraqis, has cost American taxpayers as much as one trillion dollars, has strained our military to the breaking point, and has prevented us from finishing the job in Afghanistan. Stood idly by while thousands of Americans lost everything during Hurricane Katrina – and still haven't taken leadership to rebuild the Gulf Coast and help people return home. Allowed trickle-down, laissez-faire economics to help the rich get richer, while regular Americans struggle with soaring gas and food prices, a meltdown in the housing market, and exploding debt during today's economic recession. Turned control of our country's health care system over to insurance and pharmaceutical companies, leaving millions of Americans incapable of paying for the rising costs of health benefits and turning emergency rooms into primary care physicians. Broke their promise to America's children, failing to fund early education programs and No Child Left Behind. Ignored the scientific reality of climate change, obstructing efforts to make our air and water cleaner so oil and gas companies and big business could achieve record profits. Turned their backs on America's workers, assaulting workers' rights and impeding regular Americans' efforts to form unions and bargain for better pay and working conditions. No thanks McCain you back Bush 95% We need a change,I vote for Obama.

She comes across as something between a teacher trying so hard to be nice but who truly hates teaching and her students and someone desperately trying to escape her Masters thesis depicting her as a quite racist individual. I wouldn't trust Obama to hold my seat in line, but Michelle ? Nothing of real warmth and compassion in her, more of a climber than her husband and that says volumes...

Way to go Chris Matthews. I listened to you talking about those women speaking supposedly for Hillary Clinton and you called them on it. Thank you for not being on one side but standing for being truthful if you are going to say something. If they really stood for what Clinton stood for, how could they say the things that they said. It made not sense.

Another thing, how could they still think he was Muslim. Even if he was, WHAT DOES IT MATTER. I just wanted to say that HE IS NOT HE IS A CHRISTIAN. I also wanted to say that I was proud of Clinton for supporting Obama the way she did today. She is Hillary Clinton and she DID NOT approve John McCains message.

Those of you still voting for McCain because Clinton is not the nominee, I hope that you can live with your decision and I believe that you really were not supporting the Democratic Party, and our values, for ALL Americans in the first place. I hope that you love McSame and McBush and will be content with how our country is doing right now. I hope that you love the forclosures, the gas prices rising, the womens right to choose, food prices rising and are comfortable with how the economy is right now. I hope that you are for not taking care of our own backyard (by fixing it) as well as listening to him threatening other leaders instead of talking to try to seek a peaceful resolution. What happened to when we were growing up our parents telling us to talk instead of fight and that fighting is a last resort. I hope that you are happy with everything that has been going on for the last eight years. If these are your views, then McCain is your person. Just remember, be ready to live with your decision especially if you are switching to McCain because you are upset because Hillary is not the nominee. You must also be one of the rich people in this country because my paycheck is not going as far as it used to and im not spending extra money just taking care of my family.

Hillary believes in the Democratic Party and its values and if you are a democrate, you would also. Its not about your feelings being hurt, its about the our country , and people, prospering All I can say is think about what you are saying and put your pride to the side and for once, think about the country as a whole and not just yourself.

"Those Women" what does that mean moron? I am a woman and proud of it. I would rather have a strong woman in office then any man who is as inexperienced as Obama. I think you, like Ted Kennedy and those other old farts in office can't handle having a woman as your leader. And let me just state this as a woman and a Hillary supporter......I will be grudgingly touting the party line and voting for the inexperienced, unqualified Barrack Obama, because I'd rather put up with ignorant a-holes like you then vote for a republican with the state our country is in. But, I will be the FIRST one saying I told you so........when Obama fails to be able to accomplish his agenda due to his lack of experience and and not knowing his way around Washington. With more time as a senator, there wouldn't even be an issue in casting my vote his way.

The Democratic party blew it this election. Now were gonna have to wait til Obama falls on his face to vote Hillary into office to fix a 12 year mess instead of an 8 year mess.

Frankly Fred, if that was the only time she was really proud to be an American, how does that make the comment any less offensive. Nice try...

Kim you are right on target, Michelle Obama will make a wonderful first lady. She is smart, and a breath of fresh air. Good for Laura Bush, who made it clear she understood what she meant to say. People who make decisions based on fist pumps and flag pins are very shallow.

She'll make a great first lady if she keeps her mouth shut and sticks to picking out the new white house china pattern.

She is coming across as a huge phony right now...a Jackie Kennedy clone, and that is not who she really is.

I'm sure she will now state we has always been proud of her country. By the way someone from the press should ask hard questions about her racist doctoral thesis....hmmm a pattern of behavior for Barack..Michelle (angry black woman), black panther (terrorist bomber of US gov't establishments), bigoted pastor and a felon friend/real estate partner.

I'm sure she is a very nice lady. Unfortunately she's married to a left wing radical who's big change is to make the US into a third world nation. He has no ideas, has no concept of what he's getting us into and will probably double the national debt, and yes, he'll be worse than Bush. His mouth flaps but doesn't say anything worthwhile, just like Bush.

she seems a bit angry and militant to me. her husband exudes charm and seems to be a thoughtful[albeit an inexperienced] person. i think joe biden was a good choice for veep. i am one of the undecided voters and will not decide until the last minute barring some unforeseen[ provable] revelation concerning one or the other of them. i hope it doesn't get too nasty as we need to unite as a country. god bless the u.s.a.

I thank you for being so opened minded. We do need to come together. I am an Obama supporter, but I am sad to see how some Obama supporters are treating Hillary supporters. We should be welcoming them not bashing them. We could have been in the same position very easily. It makes it hard for them to come over if we are degrading them. I know I wouldn't want to.
