Joe Biden

They were each excellent. It's difficult to rate one higher than the other because they served different purposes.

Joe Biden

That's so hard because they were all really good, but in differents ways. Biden because it was so heartfelt.

Lots of base hits, but Hillary's speech was a 3-run home run.

Bill did it again, I loved everyone else's too, but Bill is the man all the time when it comes to connecting with the people.

To be fair.. Michelle told the story and Hillary hit it out of the park, but Bill hit it out of the stadium. Biden had a big hit too.

Bill and Hillary both had grandstand homeruns. They are two of the most dynamic people in politics today. I just wish Obama had picked her for VP, not even Biden can do a better job than she. Perhaps he will offer her Secretary of State.

I believe Bill Clinton has the gift of being a great speaker and he proved it again. I feel all of the speakers were exceptionally good. Hillary showed her strength and fortitude to inspire women, Michelle was gracious and a great story teller in relating who she and Obama are, and Joe Biden can really hit home, because he comes from where he speaks. Compare these speakers with the next group-------Bush, Cheney, Giuliani, Arnie and whoever the VP nomination is. Please I won't need a sleep remedy all week.......GO OBAMA/BIDEN.

We need to stop outsourcing to foreign nations, we need a strong middle class and world class education for everyone. Yeah, he's made some questionable choices...but hasn't everyone? I wll also say that I am a Hillary supporter and her speach inspired me to tears. She had the courage to ask us to question why we're voting, not just because it's her. How about a 3rd Clinton in 4 or 8 years? GO OBAMA!

If you are talking about disgruntled Hillary Clinton supporters, I think that Barack should stop even trying to get them. After all, they probably don't make up any more than 12% of her supporters. Barack got 52% of her supporters right after Hillary dropped out of the race on June 6. And, since she has further backed Barack now, (by giving the good speech on Tuesday, releasing her delegates, and affirming Barack's nomination yesterday) Barack has probably picked up another 10% in addition to the 52% of her supporters that he already had. Which would bring today's total to 62% of Hillary voters now firmly in the Obama camp. Since Hillary is now backing Barack stronger, Barack stands to get most of the other 28%. Which means that he could, in the end, wind up with as much as, let's say: 88% of Hillary supporters into his camp. And, as far as the other 10-12%, they really don't matter. Barack can make up that little bit by just bringing out a lot of new voters, getting more of the Independent vote, and increasing (by however much he can) liberal to moderate Republicans that are fed up with the way that the Republican Party has been acting lately. So you see, it really doesn't matter about the so-called Pumas. They are not big enough of a group to stop Barack!

Hillary once again proved that she was the best person for the job. Her speech was great. Michelle speech was a complete waste, Biden speech was all over the place and he seemed lost, Bill didn't care. Hillary stood up with a smile on her face and towed the party line.

Bill Clinton can give a great speech (I voted for him twice). BUT he lost congress in 1994, didn't live up to his campaign promises to gays, was IMPEACHED (justified or not) because he can't keep it in his pants, signed NAFTA (bye bye liveable wage jobs), kicked mothers off welfare (which, I bet they could use about now), did nothing to improve EPA regulation of industry, failed to get Kyoto ratified, did nothing to improve CAFE standards or raise minimum wage, deployed our military to more conflicts than any other sitting president, and basically spent his last term trying to save his own ass. If not for the dot com bubble in the nineties (which he can't realistically take credit for) the economy would not have grown at the rate that it did. All of the jobs created in the nineties were gone after the bubble burst, leaving us vulnerable to the carpetbaggers of the new century. The election of 2000 was stolen, but it wouldn't have been theirs to steal if Bill is sooooo wonderful. If you want to know why many dems were turned off by HRC, look no further than Bill. I am a woman and I don't understand why feminists support a woman who would tolerate that kind of behaviour in a husband, father, and national example. Queen Hillary is an opportunist, Michelle Obama is a true role model for women of the 21st century!

Ivy, I'm so sorry that you've never loved anyone enough to forgive them. But at least, you've obviously never done anything where you needed forgiveness. Must be nice in that bubble you live in. I admire Hillary's strength to stay and work for her marriage instead of taking the easy way out.

Bill Clinton was certainly no angel, and you are quite correct about his policies. Not everything he did was great. He really was too centrist. But he also had Newt Gingrich and a republican congress to deal with, so some of what happened during his presidency was related to how often he was strong armed by congress.

Hillary is to be commended. She actually, of the top 5 candidates was last for me, but I'd've supported her if she'd won. I really look forward to seeing what she does now.

Depending on what congress Obama gets, we'll see what he can do. I wish we had sensible republicans who could actually debate issues and present viewpoints to challenge us to think things through instead of this nonsense they always pull of propaganda and minipulation. If we are tired of that, we have to stop allowing it. We have to demand mutual respect and honesty, and so we also need to embody it. Bill Clinton has a high standard to meet for an x-president. Jimmy Carter has done more for us and the world than any other former president ever. Good luck Bill.

All the speeches were great! I began watching on C-Span because of all the blather that comes from the talking heads on the other channels. It's so much better when you can just listen and drink it in with your own mind.

I hope that the Dems understand from here on out that they need to do two things to persuade the voters. 1. Tell them what they will lose if the Republicans take the Whitehouse again...declining standard of living, degraded constitutional rights, more war and perhaps another war, continuing disrespect for women (e.g.McCain disgustingly holding Cindy out as a potential "Miss Buffalo Chip" as he luxuriates on her money). 2. That millions upon millions are joining the Obama/Democrats cause and they can feel good about doing the same. The stadium venue is a smart choice because it will make point two in an indirect but exciting way. They should not shy away from Obama's so-called celebrity. It is an important proof that millions want him to succeed. Another thing I would ask if I were doing the speechifying is whether McCain is mentioning his p.o.w. experience so often because he wants us to think that it entitles him to be president, or just because he has no other defenses? He would shut up about it pdq if the Dems had the guts to say that.

The last time my heart and head connected this way for a candidate was Bill Clinton. My instinct and common sense were correct with Bill. I feel the same way if not more so for Barack and Joe. I can not wait until November and then January! Everyone gave a great speech. Lots of food for though and passion to pass on! Let's go!! Obama/Biden 2008!!!!!

Each speech was brilliant in its own unique way and spiced with emotions.

Michelle - she hit the deepest spot in my heart.

Hillary - she was classy, excellent speech. She did all the right things.

Bill - his speech was fantastic. I did not expect that he would back Obama the way he did

Joe - he got to the point and hit all right notes. Wonderful speech

I was always Obama supporter and had doubts if Hillary and Bill will bring us together. I don't have those doubts anymore. I am just proud to be part of Democratic family. Thank you Hillary and Bill for bringing us all home.

The reason that only those 4 speeches are talked about is that the media likes to try to pit the Clintons against the Obamas. It truly is a shame that our media has stooped to this. And, you are right. They should have talked more about the speeches of a lot of the other speakers, such as, John Kerry's.

I also think that Senator Joe Biden was a close second, because he will be able to better reach a lot of those working/middle class voters, that have so far been resistant to Barack.

Both Clintons gave good speeches, and hopefully it will help bring a lot of her supporters along into the Obama camp, but I have to admit that I kind of doubt that the Clintons were truly heartfelt in what they were saying, when they were praising Barack. Maybe I'm wrong, but I just had that feeling.

All of this said, it is still Barack Obama, himself, that is going to have to do the most convincing to the people who are still not firmly in his camp yet. After all, it is him that is running for the presidency!

I haven't enjoyed her as a guest on Keith Olberman's Obama love in, and I'm not enjoying her during the convention. She's too combative with anyone who doesn't agree with her, even if they are on the same side. The Clinton's did exactly what I expected them to do, and they did it with class.

As for Rachael, I've been a fan of Dan Abrams (who she is replacing). He is/was the only one on MSNBC that tries to be fair to ll the candidates.

I think McCain could do worse than Bush. The more I learn about him, the more apparent it is that he combines all of Cheney's snarling obsessive militarism with Bush's tendency to make a snap judgment and refuse to be moved off of it after its been proven wrong.

I believe many of the respondents are more about their skewed emotions than about thought and consideration. For example, after eight years of Bill Clinton's inaction and immorality, what could you possibly like about him? I'm not a Bush or McCain fan but I simply can not comprehend this wide-eyed loyalty to the Clintons.

Bill and Hillary were excellent, but they are both seasoned orators so nothing less was expected. I am grateful for their extension of confidence to the next President of the US --Barack Obama!!
