Joe Biden

They were each excellent. It's difficult to rate one higher than the other because they served different purposes.

Joe Biden

That's so hard because they were all really good, but in differents ways. Biden because it was so heartfelt.

Lots of base hits, but Hillary's speech was a 3-run home run.

Bill did it again, I loved everyone else's too, but Bill is the man all the time when it comes to connecting with the people.

To be fair.. Michelle told the story and Hillary hit it out of the park, but Bill hit it out of the stadium. Biden had a big hit too.

Hillary really gave Obama the votes he needed to become the President of the United States of America. I really enjoyed her speech and her point to her support of "are you voting for me or for the democratic party?" Very moving and very good delivery!!!

I think the press was asleep when Kerry spoke last night. or they knew what he was going to say and didn't want to report it. It was an excellent hard hitting speech. Thank god we can watch the convention in other ways so that we don't only get to see what the networks want us to see.

The media really does not get what happened this week. They do not see that the democratic party is more united and empowered than I have seen in my entire life. They are united and focused on a single purpose. There are so many incredible things going on and the press in order to be biased and serve some republican powers that be have to try to spin and redirect or ignore what is going on. Sad.

I am grateful to the Clintons and they have helped to heal my rift with them for the way they campaigned during the primary. I was still angry with them but the way the delivered this week has healed that for me. Kerry was incredible!!!! What an excellent, remarkable speech he gave!
Michelle was endearing and powerful. Joe also incredibly endearing and powerful. We are so lucky to have these leaders showing up this way and I believe it is because of 'the leader' Barack Obama and his vision that they have come together this way. Last night I became convinced that we will all go out and do our part and face to face 'talking truth to power' we will take our country back.

I thought John Kerry gave the best speech I have ever seen him give! I can't believe he was not offered as a choice in this vote, and I really can't believe MSNBC would have bumped Kerry's speech for a few extra minutes of pundit opinions (well, I can actually, but surely they showed the speech later, right? I recorded last night from CSPAN for uninterupted coverage). I have to admit I was not really expecting to be that impressed given that he was speaking just after Bill Clinton and before Joe Biden, the two big speakers of the night, but Kerry jumped in and delivered an extremely powerful speech. I have not watched Biden's speech yet, but will this afternoon before event begin tonight. Bill, Hillary, and Michelle were all excellent!

It's amazing to me that all of these individuals (including John Kerry) gave excellent gaffe-free speeches. It will no doubt go dow in history as one of the greatest conventions, especially if Obama delivers tonight (does anyone doubt that he will? Not me.), and even more so if he wins the Presidency. Denver deserves a hand for putting on a beautiful convention, I am vey impressed with how smoothly it has ran, and how aesthetically pleasing it has been to watch. After 3 days of watching Bill and Hill Clinton, Michelle Obama, Joe Biden, Dennis Kucinich, Mark Warner, John Kerry rallying people to come out and vote, blasting McShame about his hypocritical flip-flopping policies, its hard to say who came out with the best speech. And with Barack Obama going to speak anouncing that he acepts the Democratic Party's Nomination for POTUS on the 45th year of MLK's "I Have A Dream" Speech, it will be even harder to judge.

The best speech of the convention was given by John Kerry. Unfortunately, the producers at MSNBC and CNN think that all these silly speeches are just an inconvenient disruptions of the endless, vacuous, repetitive blathering of their talking heads and didn't think the words of the 2004 Democratic nominee would be of interest to anyone who tuned in to watch the convention. Because, after all, its not like we're tuning in to watch a convention, is it? No, what people want is to have a rare opportunity to hear Chris and Keith and the rest of the stable talk and talk and talk and talk and talk, long past the point that any of them have anything that makes a lick of sense to say.

Oh, but I'm sure they'll see the error of their ways in time for the Republican convention, and America will get to hear every last attack on the Democrats.

Bravo! Hillary rose to the occasion and delivered a presidential speech to unite and motivate democrats to improve the status quo. She will definitely be a contender in 2012. Hillary and Bill speak with the conviction and passion that comes from experienced leadership. Wish could say the same for Obama. Obama has little to no experience as a politician and even less understanding of what it's like to grow up American in America. I heard Obama speak in person and was struck by the inconsistency of his memorized speech to questions handled off the cuff. If it weren't for the fact that Biden is on the ticket, Obama would have to spend even more money surrounding himself by good counsel. The tasks of this country may seem insurmountable now, but with Obama in the White House we will surely continue to go the way of the Dodo. Wake up America! Remember that good intentions are not sufficient to dig us out of the mire we find ourselves in today. Obama's charm and money won't be able to hold water and stave off U.S. enemies for four years. As a democrat, I say keep the course. Stay strong, stay alive.

I have to agree with the criticism of MSNBC's coverage...all ego, noise and nonsense and I'm a big MSNBC watcher on most nights...luckily midway through I switched to CSPAN and caught Kerry's excellent speech...the audience actually tried to tune him out but just couldn't because it was that good. Michelle Obama actually has a soft spot for Kerry, that's pretty obvious...Can you imagine the turmoil leading up to that moment for that man?...i knew it would be high drama even if the quality of the speech surprised me...why couldn't MSNBC figure that out....bunch of blowhards including Olbermann who I agree with on most issues...

Although I thought they all gave wonderful speeches and gave 100%, it was Bill Clinton's speech that made me realise he was the one showing others how it is done- with intelligence, a sense of history, catchy phrases, the right tone for the occasion and really selling his points with emotion and conviction. It makes me miss the Clinton years and why I enjoyed his speeches- he can really connect to all kinds of people and make very compelling and convincing arguments. I thought he really explained just how the right-wing extremism of the republicans is hurting the American people and how that hurts the rest of the world who looks to us as an example. Show the world the "power of example, not the example of power." And he really was the only one who mentioned torture, Katrina, cronyism. We need Bill Clinton out there stumping for Obama! Great stuff! I also agree with others regarding MSNBC's policy of ignoring some other good speeches such as john Kerry's and Brian Scweitzer's (our governor from the great state of Montana) - he is a rising star! Otherwise, I am a big fan of Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow and the always enthusiastic Chris Matthews!

What it is about is the money. Which corp or persons gave to who and for what. The rich use to give to change the tax code to only one party but know they are wise and actually give to both why because it works so well. The media themselfs lets this mess they call politics go on for profit. But the printing and inflation of the total US debt as of today would actually be a lot more than the politicians let out. You see the popliticians know that there true and one power is the fact that they are printing money that will not be earned or paid back for many decades to come. So if you want to find the truth about any politician follow the money who gave it to him and what laws he or she voted to change for them. The call to change how they are elected is no where to be heard from. Have these politicians posted all source of champaign finance?

I didn't see anyone speak other than Hillary. I really liked her message and delivery. I thought she showed she had class and put her party first. She was able to move the audience emotionally and make sure people kept their eye on the big picture. It was very clear people really liked her. As for myself, I was sad I wouldn't see a female president so I connected with the hurt the other women had. She has experience and has paid her dues. But I alone don't make that decision, so I will move forward and keep my eye on the big picture. I do believe even without becoming president she made a difference.

To me what will be interesting in the furture - how smart is Obama really?? If he taps the considerable talents of Hillary and Bill then he is real smart - if not then not so much.

I don't much care if they hate each other - who cares. I don't care who said what, about whom yada yada. This is our furture we need all these gifted people. A smart person will use whatever resourses that exist to get the job done. A stupid man will snub them (Bill and Hillary) and yes get the last word, or will he?? I just don't think he has the talent to do it alone. Yes Joe B is a great asset. Use all the talent you have.

As far as speeches go it was the Bill and Hillary show, hands down..

The convention was great! absolutely inspiring. I thought I would never stop crying! Bill Clinton rocked my world! I felt his sincerity and it made me miss the 8 years when he was running this country. Is he a perfect person? No. Does he make mistakes? Yes, as do we all! That is what God knew we would do when he allowed for forgiveness. We have all sinned and fallen short of Gods glory. If any human being on planet say he/she has never is a liar and the thuth is just not in them. I was not an Obama supporter, but it had nothing to do with him as a person...I love the Clintons! I will always love the Clintons! If either one of them, including their daughter, run for office, it is just a given, they will have my lifetime vote. Because of the Clintons, Obama will get my vote. That's the power of the Clintons. When you earn their support, that's the first step in becoming a winner. Be patient America, "Help" is defiinitely on the way!

All this makes me wonder why all the Clinton hating? Why people, why? Was it the peace or the prosperity that bugged everyone?

Also makes me wonder why Obama was not smart enough to take Hillary for VP. Maybe he's not that smart after all.

Maybe he will lose so she can run again in '12. Hillary 2012
