This is no longer the McCain-Palin ticket. It's the Palin/POW ticket. She is the one who riles up the extremist right wing base, not him.

Since choose to watch, nor will I watch Sen McCain, I could care less. I don't think he will attract the same number as did Sen Obama.

Her speech was petty and plastic so why couldn't he top it? A rank amateur could deliver a more presidential speech than Palin!

How come in 2004 the Repub trashed a real war hero (John Kerry) and now the only good thing they have is a guy who dropped bombs on schools and homes.

Did anybody notice notice how hateful they all were in that arena last night?

It reminded me of the dinosaurs wallowing in pools of blood on "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas"

They have even less than '04.

Is Palin the best you could do? For the Republicans, I'm sure it was.

Yeah, research how he also collects and cashes a disability check every month for that. Not saying a veteran should not collect disability, don't misunderstand. I'm just saying that with Social Security being in the crisis that it is, and him having no problem with earning a living, despite his disability, a REALLY, REALLY, COMFORTABLE living (doesn't even know how many houses he owns)..... enough said.

McCain is so washed-up and feeble that he has to use his five years in Hanoi as a crutch to give himself a sense of parity with the love that Obama gets so effortlessly. I was a Hillary supporter from day one, but Obama has earned my support and vote now. Palin and that moron Giuliani only solidified it last night with their spiteful dribble. It was interesting to see how little "presense" was in the room until the name-calling started. The camera panned constantly, trying find snapshots of faces without a blank stare. I loved the shots of Palin's back with the teleprompter feeding her verbatim tripe like a high-tech ventriloquist act. Yay CNN!

I predict a 20 point lead in the polls over the next few days. No way on earth these thick-headed, moose-eating hypocrits can steal another term!

Sarah Palin's speech was exceptional. She is very articulate and her delivery was excellent. The negativity from MSNBC is not in the least bit surprising. Fox is slightly right leaning(Alan Colmes keeps it in check) , CNN slightly left leaning but MSNBC is a propaganda machine for the liberal agenda, thus "zero" credibility.

The rude insults and wisecracks on Obama are one thing, but they get a little old when that's the bulk of your speech rather than spelling out what you will do to create positive change for America. There were too many issues not even mentioned by Palin. And all her joking was too much; I don't think a lot of Americans find the current state of our country too funny right now. One other thing...I know about John McCain's heralded military history (and I respect that), however, that isn't all we need to know about him to determine whether or not he's suited to hold this country's highest office. If McCain and Palin don't start talking about thier plans and policies for running this country, they'll never see the inside of the White House as incumbents!

The problem is he has not had an "Executive" experience. As a so called "community activist" he has done anything where any decisions had to be made. Sarah Palin has taken on the big oil companies and managed every quarter a budget of over $1 billion dollars. Good news here is that Obama will not be elected otherwise we will all be "goose-stepping" for the next four years.

I think the Republican prayer right now is: "Please God, help them believe us when we say Sarah's "executive experience" means anything at all!"

Sarah Palin's speech was mostly sarcasm. She delivered it well, but did not hear any substance. And while the word has been that families should be off limits, she spent most of her time talking about hers. I was a Hillary supporter and now am an enthusiastic Obama Biden supporter, who is offended by the thought that the fact that Palin is a woman would sway my vote. Attention to issues and offered solutions are what I, and hopefully all Americans, should be looking for. McCain's time as a POW is definitely something to be admired and his service to the country is also admirable. However, his current stance on issues will not move the country in the direction that it needs to go.

Did anyone notice that since the RNC started, no one has mentioned "the economy?" They are using their usual tactics to scare the ultra-conservative base such as abortion, gay marriage, and being attacked again by terrorists. Every sentence spoken by Rudy Giuliani has a noun, a very and 9/11 in it!Any women voters who would vote for McCain just because he picked a female running mate, obviously are not interested in seeing our country improve. If you really believe that you and our country are better off after 8 years of Republican rule, then vote for McCain / Palin!

I viewed the DNC and now the RNC I must admit... RNC has been putting me to sleep at night...DNC was so exiting that I couldn't go to sleep. RNC was so dead that Palin is exciting? I know of many people who were faced with a teen child pregnancy and they had their baby too. Many mothers have special needs children and work as well... this makes for good news I guess especially if you are running for public office... but nothing special about it. I wish the Republican party would stop talking about these family matters acting like it is the other side trying to attach Sara. Lets get to what policies they plan to execute to help out ordinary people. Sarah is a nice lady and I have a lot of respect for her...but not enough to vote for McCain... No Way! No How! Her speech was good but no real substance and I went to bed hungry. Both parties are Christians so it will be interesting to see the final outcome of all the noise, bells and whistles :)

See it's all a matter of personal opinion. The DNC seemed boring to me. Obama's speech seemed bitter, whiny and angry to me. He delivered it well though. The RNC has been fantastic! Sarah, Rudy and Mitt lit it up last night.
