Palin does not support womens issues, she just happens to be a woman. The media is making this a fight between stay-at-home vs working mom

I don't believe you can use Palin as an example. She's not just a working mom - she's a Republican with the same "honor" as McCain

What does Palin have in common with "regular moms"? She is another Rebublican distotion of reality that they are packaging and marketing.

Palin is a poor role model. She has a dysfunctional family. If she can't run her family right, how can we expect her to run the county.

I'm a little confused. Let me see if I have this straight . . .

If you grow up in Hawaii, raised by your grandparents, you're 'exotic, or different.' But, if you grow up in Alaska "eating mooseburgers" you're the quintessential American story.

If your name is Barack you're a radical, unpatriotic Muslim. But, name your kids Willow, Trig and Track, you're a maverick.

Graduate from Harvard Law School and you are unstable. But, attend 5 different small colleges before graduating, you're well grounded.

If you spend 3 years as a brilliant community organizer, become the first black President of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter registration drive that registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12 years as a Constitutional Law professor, spend 8 years as a State Senator representing a district with over 750,000 people, become chairman of the state Senate's Health and Human Services committee, spend 4 years in the United States Senate representing a state of 13 million people while sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs, Environment and Public Works, and Veteran's Affairs committees, you don't have any real leadership experience. But, if your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the City Council and 6 years as the Mayor of a town with fewer than 7,000 people, 20 months as the governor of a state with only 650,000 people, then you're qualified to become the country's second highest ranking executive.

If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while raising 2 beautiful daughters, all within Protestant churches, you're not a real Christian. But, if you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and left your disfigured wife and married the heiress the next month, you're a stellar Christian.

If you teach responsible, age-appropriate sex education, including the proper use of birth control, you are eroding the fiber of society. But, if, while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only, with no other option in sex education in your state's school system, while your unwed teen daughter becomes pregnant, you're very responsible.

If your spouse is a Harvard graduate lawyer who gave up a position in a prestigious law firm to work for the betterment of inner city communities, then gave that up to raise a family, your family's values don't represent America. But, if your husband is nicknamed 'First Dude', with at least one DWI conviction and no college education, who didn't register to vote until age 25, and once was a member of a group that advocated the secession of Alaska from the USA, your family is extremely admirable.

OK, much clearer now

Umm, that's an urban legend that Obama didn't use the bible to be sworn into office. Political-493347. Don't you do resesarch before you spout that ridiculousness. And don't distort what Michelle said for your own gain. She said she was never as proud of America as she is now. And if you were an African American in this country you'd know what she meant. Us, white folks, can be vindictive, mean and angry and extremely racist. Now come on... let's not get shy for the cameras. We have been taught we're superior. How dare Michelle act.... smart. How dare she have... education. How dare she.... speak. I'm guilty and I have repented. I have to before we elect in office a duo who will.... try to repeal Roe v. Wade. Lets not forget Mrs. Palin's stand on this issue. Not even in the case of violence is a woman allowed a choice. Whoa. A duo who would continue to run this country into the ground with Reagon-Bush'o' nomics. Can you say trickle down? PS. How's your bank account looking? A duo who though she has five children and went back to work in 3 days does not support any laws for family leave. Remember America will be nominating a record number of justices during this time. A record number. Vote responsibly. Vote policy. Don't vote a race or gender.

        1. she said that she cuts taxes in Alaska ....... Alaska has no state tax.

        2. she said that she got every Alaskan back $1200 last year ..... as long as you have lived in Alaska 6 months you are entitled to receive a yearly check from the profits on oil revenue.

        2. she said that she can see Russia from her window ..... she is looking at the Aleutian Chain...not Russia.

Biden in the Senate for over 30 years and that's the best he could do with a contender of only a few months?  Very reveling on what people do that are in government unchallenged for long periods of time.  Del. Like Mass., you get what you vote for.  Biden should resort to the truth and fact instead of fear of a candidate on the stump for a few months.  What a 30+ senate joke he is.  Make sure you re-elect him Del.

                    Opinion
How Sarah Palin Excluded African-Americans in Alaska

by journalist Earl Ofari Hutchinson, only compounded her icy relationship with her African-American constituents.

Gwen Alexander, the president of the told me that Palin sta=ed defiantly that she had no intention to hire any minority staffers. And=20 according to Bishop Dave Thomas, senior pastor of Anchorage-based African-American church Jesus Holy Temple, the Palin administration excluded black business owners from the Alaskan oil and gas pipeline board. "We wasn't even able or allowed to =o into the meetings" to seek contracts for the pipeline, Thomas told me.=20
Palin further alienated Alaska's black community by becoming the first Alaskan governor in recent memory to not recognize the Juneteenth celebration of the emancipation proclamation. "She doesn't hire any black people, she doesn't have any on her staff, so it's not a surpris= that she doesn't support our Juneenth celebration," Alexander said.
These revelations and many more are contained in my latest video,=20 which was produced with support from the Nation Institute Investigativ= Fund.

Palin is obviously a stepford wife turned political. She has no concern over true feminist issues as those would be in conflict with right wing theory and practice. It's so obvious that McCain felt desperate and hit on the idea of putting a woman as his VP to pander to those who had supported Hillary. If I was a woman, I'd find that fairly insulting. She brings nothing but her gender to the table. No qualifications, no prior experience, no training, just a mouthful of hate for any who disagree with her narrow thinking. In other words, she's every Republicans' dream girl!

Some of the remarks are unecessary and ungracious. We could all take a lesson from McCain. What a good hearted, gracious, patriot gentleman. Who out there could lose with such class.

It might be wise to see how Obama runs things before pushing Palin into running in 2012. Reality tells us if he does the job people believe he will, he'll certainly be elected for another term.

The racial remarks are getting old, in the part of the country I personally live in, we don't see the racial problems that perhaps other parts of the county do. I don't know anyone who raised their children to even notice such things. Obama is a well educated man who will hopefully get the support he needs to make this nation what it should be. By support, that means all of us in this great country. President-elect Obama has a long hard road ahead with the state of the economy and lack of jobs in this country. The fact that he was elected shows that race relations in the US are maybe not as bad as some would like to believe. Let's get past the race remarks...move on all ready!

Wouldn't you like to see just one election where a candidate stuck to the issues and people didn't bash, slander, lie, etc about one another. How about winning on merit and act like an adult for a change. The media in my opinion doesn't do anything but make matters worse.

For those of you bashing Palin, grow up all ready! I raised 3 kids on my own without any support, worked full time and went to school. My children are well adjusted, intelligent and we found time for extra curicular activities and even vactions! It's called organization ladies, stop crying because you don't have Sarah's resources. If you have a problem with it then get off your dead backsides and do something about it instead of complaining. I know plenty of single mothers who worked, took great care of their children and worked on their degrees to boot! And for heaven sake stop listening to gossip! For those of you with husbands what's wrong with him taking care of the kids. I'm sure Palin's husband can handle it. Apparently you don't know any single fulltime dads. By the way, what's wrong with Sarah's family banning together to take care of her baby, I thought that's what family was all about?! And for those self rightous big mouths with the perfect family....All I can say is...Who'll throw the first stone!! Step right up there you perfect people with your perfect families...I call BULL@!$%#!! This is America, you can accomplish anything if you're willing to work for it. Oh! and you have a little amibition!

And for the intelligent person who thinks Palin will have us speaking in tongues! You sound as intelligent as those who think Obama is the anti-christ. OMG!! But try to keep in mind, this is America and religious freedom is a right! Or at least it was until they started banning it....

As for Hillary....That's a moral issue!! Her husband "The Scolar" couldn't keep his privates in his pants long enough to get out of office. She should have left him, if for no other reason than to save face and send a message to the women of America. As far as I'm concerned she gave every woman in America a very negative message...She lost me on that alone! The old double standard is a thing of the past!

How do you feel about the BANK BAILOUT!?
