I'm not sure

I would have to hope any problems have been addressed...unless they were not actual problems, but "problems"....

I think we should all agree going into November, with our eyes wide open, that if it happens again, we throw FL the hell out of the Union.

We should be able to have trust in the system and the electoral vote system needs to be updated with safeguards to candidates.

In 2000, the issues in Florida constituted "fraud," plain and simple. As long as that truth is ignored, the "problems" will persist.

The electoral vote system should be abolished. So should the super delegates. Far too many super delegates voted against what their constituents wanted. I say let the popular vote prevail.

Florida's 2000 vote was corrupted. My Uncle was one of the people sent there to try to straighten out the mess and found that .... the powers who be kept certain voters in specific areas from getting to the polls. The state police set up road blocks with some sort of flimsy excuse to keep people away.

We should institute a two piece voting ticket, so everyone who votes has a ticket stub with their vote on it. Debacles like FLA and OH should not occur in this day and age.

People still do not understand. The counties where the Gore cherry picked. The ballots were designed by the democrats. The counties were run by he democrats. It sounds that if there was fraud, the democrats used it. They could not find enough non citizens to vote right.

              One:

Stop assuming everyone in Florida is elderly and a transplant from the North.

              Two:

Stop assuming all Republicans are corrupt and lemmings.

Now that we have that out of the way, I happen to be a native born, 30 year old, Republican in Florida who has voted early for Obama. As far as voter fraud, I can't attest to know exactly how the 2000 Election truly played out of the numbers. It is very sad it went to the courts. Gore may or may not have been a good President, we simply will never know. I, for one, am sick of everyone with differing opinions on some kind of witch hunt against Republicans. YES, we KNOW an idiot is in charge of the White House now... we didn't know that when we voted for him. Not all of us are blind, we were fooled, and fooled well. Stop trying to burn us at the stake for making a mistake... some of us are trying to ensure this doesn't happen again by putting Obama in office. I may not like his liberal stances on some issues, but McCain terrifies me with is anger and bitterness. So, in summation... not all FL born-and-raised Republicans are ancient, bitter, corrupt and soulless automatons hell-bent on running America into the ground. Please try to keep that in mind. That being said... no matter what your opinion, go vote.

              Hear, hear, Nick!

Another thing folks seem to forget/overlook is that the counties in Florida where the debacles happened are Democratic strong-hold counties, that had Democratic officials in place.  Of course, a lot of the residents in those counties are snowbirds with dual residencies.

I'm sure their votes counted back in their home states, even if they felt they weren't counted in FL.

I'm not a Florida native, but I've lived here half my life, am a registered Republican and just voted early for Bob Barr.

Have fun at the polls, folks!
