Anyone who gets their facts from The Daily Show must not know how to do their own research. I don't feel comfortable relying on a guy to just "talk things out" with terrorists from other countries. But then again, he might be able to work things out with them since they're friends...

I full agree with the comment about McCain/Palin. Now Mrs. McCain has the chutzpah to say that Senator Obama has waged the "dirtiest campaign in American history." Obama of having issues with pastors and terrorists. Get your head out of the spa mudpack, Cindy!!

Obama got SMOKED !!!
He stammered and skirted around on issues, and even pushed time limits trying to defend his losing position , LOL
I expected him to fare better , but he Failed miserably on this one.
Sarah Palin could have beaten him tonite.
You people who think Obama won have bricks in your head , haha . i love it. And Im not even a repiglickan.

I would love to have asked him about Larry Sinclair just to see him Squirm. I would have also asked him Why cant he produce a US birth certificate, whats so difficult about that if youre running for PRESIDENT ???
Another thing is about Jerome Corsi ( author of the book 'Obama Nation' ) getting Deported from Kenya today... Could it be that someones fixing to be able to prove Obama was born in kenya and not hawaii as he claims? This would make him INELLIGIBLE for the presidency by LAW.
I think the rough days for Obama are comming , LOL !
WHATA TURD.

What about Obamas ties to William Ayers and the Rev Wright. What real qualifications does the "messiah" have to be the President of the United States. This guy could not pass a background check to work for the FBI and we are going to give him the keys to the United States of America (the same country his wife was never proud of and his pastor called the US of KKK A). Not one person from his past has come out to speak on his behalf, that alone tells me all I need to know about the person.

In short it is the theory that gaining control of the economy by taking it from the wealthy to benefit those with less may lead to a classless, utopian society. I have heard nothing from Obama to indicate that he is a Marxist.

Wanting everyone to have universal health care is not socialized medicine. Nowhere has he said that under his administration the health care system will be taken over and run by the government as the republicans would like you to believe. What else is he suppose to socialize? Can you give me another example because I cannot think of one?

The republicans would make you think socialism is a dirty word - a horrible system to live under. European countries like Great Britain, Norway, France employ social programs and are doing quite well. The English have socialized medicine and EVERYONE benefits from it. You want your own insurance, you can get it. And isn't it nice to know that if you do not have a job with benefits or the money to afford it, you have it? Unlike here in America where if you don't have a job with benefits or don't have the money for it, you have nothing?

Isn't that doing for the "common good?" Something we Americans have not thought about since Bush II took office?

How much would the $5K tax credit give me back on $56K salary with 1 deduction? Any mathmatics guru's out there?

Depends on where you hit in the tax tables on net income and at where the credit is applied. I am no tax expert, but I think you can figure the "best case" scenario buy look at last years tables for your old net - then subtract the 5k from the net and check the table again.

Adams, she is right it would be nothing as the Senator would pay the insurance companies directly who already have jacked up premiums to absorb the payments. He isn't giving anyone squat unless you own a Health Insurance outfit.

My last emplyer paid my insurance premiun for me, which at the time was over $600, and I paid the family portion. Now that tab is $1300 a month. How is no tax on $5000 going to help me pay $15600 a year in health insurance premiums?

The way I see a tax credit of any kind is that it is a deduction on my income tax. The $5,000 tax credit McCain is promoting does not give me the cash in hand I need to buy the insurance. Needing a family plan, which averages around $12,000 or more a year, where am I going to get the additional $7,000?

Mr. McCain must have been locked up in a time capsule for the past eight years. Cronies?, Croneyism? Barack has answered the questions flat out, while McCain starts by pointing his finger at Obama. Time is running out and he has yet to give a straight answer. If he knows how to make changes, where has he been all this time? By the way, it's a goof thing he didn't try to become a comedian. His sad attempt at levity only makes him look foolish.

Of course not! DE was already in FR and many other EU countries and it was our moral obligation to help them. But, of course, neither did we invade MX to stop the Nazis, nor did we invade PA to stop JP. [If you are unfamiliar with the international country codes, you probably do not travel nearly as frequently as I; but, you can "go on the internets to do a search on the googles" (G.W. Bush). Remember when everyone wanted to 'bomb, bomb, bomb; bomb, bomb, Iran'? for the OKC incident (when patience, investigative police work [not military intervention], and pre-frontal lobe usage brought out the truth? [Unfortunately, after 911, all the evidence was sold as scrap metal to China despite ground zero being a crime scene...so no real investigation was ever completed. Using your pre-frontal lobes to instantiate neural activity for this very purpose is what separates us from the lower primates, Republicans and Democrats.

You've evaded the substance of the question. When is it our moral obligation to invade, and when is it our obligation to mind our own business. as you said, some countries do not want to be "saved" by America...

You say we didn't invade Europe to stop Hitler? The why did they call it the D-Day invasion?

No, I don't now the country codes, and I suspect quite a few others here can't either because we haven't been fortunate to go overseas, so don't patronize us by trying to show off. It's what we dislike about McCain. Similarly, I had to look up the word "instantiate" and found it is not even in my Webster's. And when I did, I still couldn't figure out what you mean by "instantiate neural activity." Wiktionary defines instantiate as follows:

to instantiate (third-person singular simple present instantiates, present participle instantiating, simple past and past participle instantiated)

1. (transitive) to represent an abstract concept by a concrete instance
2. (transitive, object orientated computing) to create an object (an instance) of a specific class

The first definition says to explain an idea by giving a concrete example. Hmm. Doesn't seem to fit. Do you mean "to create brain action"? In other words, are you using opaque words to say no more than "use your brain to think?" Why the obfuscation? And what truth will we find? And by thinking find the truth? This turns full circle to the question raised at the beginning of this missive: what is truth, when is war a moral war?

Or are you attemting to demonstrate how the politicians hide the truth that they have no answers?

McCain does not know anything about economics, and he keeps trying to relate to people by always saying my friends. It is hard to believe that he can relate to me when he has seven houses and does not wear the pants in the family. How can he lead a country when he does not know how many houses he has. Also, do not get me started on Palin.

Yet again, MacCain is short on ANY specifics - just broad strokes about "fixing the problems" and "blue ribbon panels" and "setting up commissions" - nothing specific beyond his attacks on his opponent. I supported his bid in 2000, but this isn't the same man at all. Obama is stating specifically wehat he will do and how he will pay for it. I have to trust the man with a real plan, against the guy with pandering platitudes.

McCain/Palin can not answer a direct question, just expousing how great they are and trying to feed on the sympathy side of the question. No direct answer, just how great they are and he is always convinced that his record he can stand, now he is talking about the surge, national security and experience.

shame on him-he has no facts but just stump speech.

vote obama who is giving you solutions and how it can be done)or stay in the mud like you are now.

obama won, as soon as mccain opened his mouth

McCain’s comment, “Nailing Obama down to a tax policy is like nailing jell-o to the wall”, is a good example of McCain’s inability to answer any given question and lack of creativity. There are hundred’s of ways to nail jell-o to the wall, just a couple examples are: make the jell-o, freeze it and nail the frozen jell-o to the wall, nail a shelf to the wall and place the bowl of jell-o on the shelf, make jell-o jiggler and nail the jell-o jiggler to the wall. I find Obama full of positive ideas that are realistic solutions to the problems of Americans and McCain full of negative comments directed at Obama, in attempts to make Obama look bad, rather than address the issues.
