Hey Ryan,  You must be one of the few who make over a quarter of a million $.  My family however, will get bigger tax breaks with Obama.  McCain himfelf said he does not know anything about the economy.  He is surrounded by Bush advisers.  I have had enough of Bush's policies.  They have not worked and we need change!  What about going to realchange.org.  They list all the politicians skeleton's.  What they leave out is that McCain has the support of the KKK.  What a surprise!

I dunno...sometimes I wonder if he even really wants to win the presidency.  We all know Palin wants it - she wants it bad and probably even has plans to "do away" with the old guy somehow.  I certainly wouldn't put it past her.

Or perhaps old pal Bush will do something to make the election null and void and appoint McCain anyway.  Who needs that dratted constitution anyway?

McCain must have read the comments.  By the weekend he started singing a new song and got booed.  He must think mainstream America isn't paying attention, or are stupid.  His flip-flopping isn't going to help his becoming president, which, as we all know, is the only thing that matters to him.  He's not interested in helping Americans, he just wants the power that being president will give him.  I want a president that will help America get back its dignity, build confidence in world leaders, and bring prosperity back to each one of us.  I have seen no evidence that Obama doesn't want those things for us, as well.  As a republican, I'm voting for Obama/Biden.

McCain is an underdog because he unleashed the Pit Bull with lipstick to go on the attack with racist, terror-inducing and anger-inciting rhetoric.  Now its all coming back to bite him in the end....   McCain is reduced to a whipped puppy with his tail between his legs, with a bark much bigger than his bite.   Who let the dogs out?  Palin did.   Ruff!

It doesn't take much to create "unrealistic expectations" from someone who knows it is already too late. He has made a complete fool of himself and his party. Fight? For what? If he wouldn't have played the dirty politics game he might still have a chance. In light of the way he has run his campaign, the American people know more of the same when they see it. Quite frankly, most people are tired of the smears, racial underrtones and negativity and want something different. Obama is the clear choice and more people will come to realize that.

It doesn't matter if McCain comes up with some wonderful plan in the next three weeks.  As long as he has Palin on the ticket, Americans won't vote for him.  These are troubled times and she just isn't smart enough or qualified to be VP or possibly president.  I get sick when I think that some people vote for the person they want to have a beer with.  I vote for who I want in a meeting with world financial leaders.  I will vote for the smart and educated Obama/Biden and you know what. . . . I would rather have a beer with Obama or Biden.

Good Lord!  Is this nothing more than a game to Senator McCain???  Is he really just playing dress-up, trying on different personas until he finds one that works for him?

ACT I - “I’m the one with all the experience - he just doesn’t have enough experience!”

ACT II - “Let me introduce you to my new running-mate!  There are NASA Chimpanzees who are more qualified than her, but hey....she’s a Maverick!!!  (She told me so in that ONE meeting we had!)”

ACT III - “I know how to fix this!...and that!....and that!....and that over there, too!  Bin Ladin?  OH, I”LL GET HIM - I KNOW HOW!!  I’m just not sharing ANY of my “know-how” until you cough up the big office!”

ACT IV - “CHANGE IS COMING!”  (I think it’s actually pretty healthy that you’re coming to grips with that now - it will make it easier on you when election day rolls around, and you wake up to realize that change did, indeed, come.)

ACT V - “Who IS this Barack Obama, with all his strangeness and differentness, and especially with all those strange and different, American-Hating, Terrorist, Socialist, Muslim, Chicago Politician friends that he’s had all those barbecues and pool parties with?? And, for that matter, if ANY of this crap was true - HOW IN THE HECK DID HE EVER PASS THE “American Senator” Test????  Senator McCain?  You weren’t sitting in the Senate with this guy, were you?

ACT VI - “No, no Ma’am.  You needn’t fear an Obama Presidency.  He’s not an Aye-rab - he’s a decent family guy, who I’ve just been smearing the crap out of to make you afraid so I can win.....did I say that out loud???  I meant, “COUNTRY FIRST!!!”

ACT VII - “THERE’S NO NEED TO FEAR!  UNDERDOG IS HERE.”  (Feel free to hum that wonderful theme song if you remember it - Damn, I’m Old!)

(Borrowed from “The American President” because it fits): John McCain has been in the Senate for 26 years. I've been operating under the assumption that the reason John devotes so much time and energy to shouting at the rain (or trying to FIND the rain, even) is that he simply doesn't get it. Well, I am wrong. John's problem isn't that he doesn't get it. John's problem is that he can't sell it!

Keep trying, Senator.  No Sale.  And, by the way, “Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” (to paraphrase) seems infinitely more a lesson you yourself are in need of.

                John -418546,

My Friends, I know how to fix this, but I'm pretty certain That One is in cahoots with the dastardly, left-wing main stream media who probably runs this site and voted against letting me have further access to the editor! I AM APPALLED and would like to, at this time, demand that Senator Obama repudiate, renounce, disavow, not invite them to his birthday party, and give the ruby-red raspberry to these liberal, tree-hugging evil-doers who are clearly personally attacking me by not letting me correct my screw-up.

....or, I could just go with the Palin-Denial approach:

                John -418546,

I'm very very pleased to be cleared of any legal wrongdoing…any hint of any kind of unethical activity there, and I'm just as happy as a pig in lipstick that you liked how I used the phrase "My Friends" at the beginning of each act!

The media wrote McCain off..he is obviously winning the race. Katie Couric, will once again have that shock and disbelieve look on her face when McCain Wins and makes all the media talking heads look like a bunch of dumb A**es!! She looked so sick and even muttered something like she couldn't believe Bush beat Kerry. McCain will win when the voters turn out and vote for him. Yes of course you can say I'm disllusional, but this is the same news media that got congressional hearings brought against then for calling some states too early on election night.

"Obviously winning the race," eh? Um... could you provide even a shred of proof of this?

And I can't exactly say you're "disllusional" because, unlike you, I have a solid grasp of the English language and words of more than three syllables.

Jack:  It happened in 2000, and 2004, but you must be hearing voices if you think it will happen again in 2008.  We as a people are smarter than the Karl Rove attack machine gives us credit.  We as a people can look through the lies, and erratic behavior of McCain.  My friend, people will do what's right!  We will elect Obama, for a change.  Let me know what the voices are saying on November 5.

Chuck Todd, latest polls have Obama up 51-40 in Minnesota, 54-37 in Wisconsin, 54-38 in Michigan, 52-41 in Iowa and 52-43 in Colorado, when are you going to change those states to "Likely Obama"?

The choice of Palin ended it for McCain.  He certainly was not thinking about country first when he made that decision.  Frankly, I don't know which one is more pathetic, Palin or McCain.  Palin, who uses her tiny children as props, or McCain who will continue to wage an unjust war because it's all about winning...no matter how many people will die in the process.

I would just like to know where the Swift Boat People are. They seem to do a job and put Bush in office so why are they giving Obama a free ride. There are two many unanswered questions about Obama. No one with good intentions for all people would have set in church and listened to all those race rants for twenty years. Especially with children!

Granny,  Have you happened to take a look at who is spiritually advising McCain?  Reverend Hagee,  Reverend Rod Parsley?  Why do think McCain isn't going after Rev. Wright.  He has skeleton's in his closet!  Do you honestly think that Obama sat through hate speeches with his children?  Why do think he walked away from the church?  I don't see McCain or Palin walking away from Hagee?  Why is that?  Don't just take what is given to you, find out for yourself. therealmccain.com or motherjones.com

Grannyrose, here's what happened.  When the wheels came off the Straight-Talk Express, they had to borrow the Swift Boat as an alternate means of transportation, but once they got up the creek, they found that they didn’t have a paddle....

I would like to think that the "underdog ploy" will not work because voters are tired of being manipulated with these silly political dioramas of drama.  I would like to think that after eight years of extreme manipulation and abuse by the Bush Administration voters have learned some things about fear, jingoism, rush to violence, hero worship and the cult of personality. I would hope we have all grown moldy listening to the hollow and near schizoid pattern of McCain's attempts to twist our arms with his"Oh yeah, did I tell you I was tortured?" routine.

McCain, inshort, is a poser. He has no more ability to lead this hurting and frightened nation than he does to put on a community theatre play. His total disregard for our frightening place in history is nowhere more poignant and more profane than his selection of Caribou Barbie for VP. I guess Paris Hilton was not interested afer his hateful words about her.

Honestly? I think he's a very distrubed man and would not be surprised by his complete collapse. I just keep thinking "Manchurian Candidate".

Oh boy I can't wait to read over Johns new emergency bandaid.  Kinda like Bush's tax refund bandaid.  That really did nothing.  Republicans really have no plans beyond next week.  Except for Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran.  Yeah that'll work.  I actually would like to have faith in the Republican party its just Bush and McCain are sooooo Lame.
