It was great to finally see McCain trying to make sense, but it was far too little, too late. Obama-Biden will lead the country back to prosperity long before McCain-Palin. Can't wait to see if McCain shows up on Letterman's show, and if he does... how long he stays!

I believe we are witnessing history in our time. McCain could have won this debate by sticking to  issues he raised in the first 20 min. But he dwelled on the neagtive attacks and lost me afterwards. McCain comes across as being angry and someone needing anger management. Perhaps whinning!!! Obama sounded calm and connected with me for being knowledgeable and focused on the  sad economic situation facing us.

I find it interesting that no matter how hard Obama tries to discuss the issues, McCain continually attempts to change to character attacks.  McCain does not have a clue what it is like to live paycheck to paycheck or to take care of a child with special needs.  He does not even know what special needs the Palin family is dealing with.  I wonder - does she know??  After all - she has been on the campaign trail for weeks.  McCain constantly refers to the great Depression and politics of the 1940's.  Someone needs to tell him that this is 2008 and that the programs and initiatives in the 40's will not work in today's world.  He has never addressed the issues - just condems others.  I think he is rude, uninformed, disconnected, and is not at all interested in the people of the United States.  It's all about him.

I really appreciate Mr. McCains contribution to the war in Vietnam...I have the upmost respect for him and what he must have gone through...having said that, are you saying that since someone choose to defend our country in a war that ibecomes their qualification to run our country?   To represent our country?  Obviously, Mr. McCain has a lot of deeply rooted issues from his timed served in Vietnam.....it is sad for him, but I don't believe putting him in the highest political office of our country is the "reward" Mr. McCain deserves....or the solution to his deeply rooted trauma issues....do you think that is why he is soooooo disrespectful of his competitor?

I think that Senator Obama answered all of the questions better and stayed above the political negativity that seems to be the focus of Senator McCain's campaign. The American people are tired of the policies that the Bush administration have put into place for the last 8 years and I believe that the polls will show that even more after this last debate.

I didn't need a last debate to convince me who's the most qualified.  I voted today for the Obama-Biden team.  I love Obama's demeanor, his temperment and ability to listen; McCain is angry, judgmental and ill-informed.  We need the former in the WH.

Ob, BTW, Sarah Palin is NOT a role model.  She's quite the contrary!

Personally I found it very insulting to have McCain say that Sarah Palin was my role model. I have had 3 special children with LD, two with physical problems(one died), and NONE got pregnant in high school, ALL graduated from high school and beyond, ALL are articulate interesting and independent hard working people. I do not respect Sarah Palin because she was mayor of a very small town. (Her mayoral duties were few and symbolic) I do not respect Sarah Palin because she is the governor of a state with a small population. (She has committed ethical breaches which point to her lack of abililty and understanding of law) I do not respect, and in fact am worried that Sarah Palin, who believes in the end times, and who might be near the red button. She knows she is saved -- the heck with the rest of the world who is different from her.

                    Amanda-637762 -- get a clue -- and a dictionary!

It was obvious again who has commmand of the isssues that are important to middle class Americans---Senator Obama.  Senator Mc Cain seemed unprepared to defend his on policies in a way that shows he is looking out for the middle class.  He seemed very comfortable when defending big business and the rich.  Mc Cain seemed like an angry old man....someone who I would be afraid to occupy the oval office with his igornant sidekick Governor Palin.....

I feel very deeply that Sen.Obama has been addressing the issues.Sen.Obama has also takin the time in giving a break down of what he intends to do with Health Care ,Economy and Education. Mr. McCain I must say to you as a mother of four and a Military Spouse who's husband has served in Iraq. Sarah Palin IS NOT a role model for women. I have not been able to relate to her  any way shape or form. Please Sir consider what you are speaking about before you say them .The American people want and need a Honest and Level Headed Leader.......

Blessings everyone see you at the polls !!!! Obama 08

Well, if it is you are now guilty by association, therefore you cannot be president.

You do know that Senator McCain was their keynote speaker in 2006 and told then how much he appreciated everything they are doing. Is he guilty by association?

After McCain pulls out of my state of Michigan, I was hoping he would tell me about his policies and himself rather than spend the night saying "look at him, look at him".  Very disappointing.  How can I vote for him?  McCain was on the attack because his blood is in the water.  I can't vote for Palin just because she's a soccer mom, show me some substance.  For me, it's still Obama/Biden for me unless McCain/Palin can tell me more of what they will do and less of what the other won't do.

Amanda.....you are obviously very biased. Bill Clinton balanced the budget. We were not in a useless war. And people could afford gas and food.
