Although I have already casted my vote, I am inspired by this young man and his dreams for American. Why would I not listen. He is refreshing and "real". He does not need to make up fake stories in order to win. I pray daily for him and his family. God bless America.

I read both of his books before I made my decision to support him. I was one of those who thought maybe he was a little young. But after reading his story and his ideas, I couldn't help but support him.
We need fresh ideas in this country!
He sure is real. A real socialist that America knows very little about beyond his Alinsky promises of hope and change. I pity our country if he gets elected.
I agree with you both. My son saw Obama speak at UVM on the street several years ago. My son walked into the campus library and Obama was standing on the library steps with about 5 people around him. By the time my son walked out of the library there were hundreds around Obama.
Obama is brilliant and of flexible mind -- his education is excellent and his thinking is high level

My family originally thought Obama was too young -- over time we changed that opinion and anyway that is what advisors are for.

For the first time in my memory I can look forward to being proud of my country!!!! (& FYI I'm white, highly educated, female and I have a great high income tax bracket job -- that is FYI for all the Chaos / Hate Train supporters -- do not bother to accuse me of being a racist voter or on welfare, etc. etc. etc. you can keep your Nazi politics, your superace, your hate, your pointless anger and your divisivness -- I've had enough of it thanks anyway).

Dian Larkin...I would have to disagree with you on one of your claims. The fact that you are supporting Obama (the socialist) leads me to question the statement about being highly educated...you must not be You must watch too much of the left wing biased media. There are too many Skeletons in Mr. Obama's closet to ever feel comfortable having him as the redistributor in commander. Just look at his record...he was voted the most liberal senator ever. Also look at the people he has associated with in his life. He launched his campaign from the living room of an unapologetic terrorist...and listened to countless number of sermons by reverend Wright...don't tell me that these people didn't have any influence on his life. BTW why would support Obama if you have a high paying job? He is goign to take you hard earned money and give it to people who don't want to work for it...it is what he likes to call redistribution. Barbara, This man is not what he seems. Watch Campbell Brown's piece on CNN to get a sliver of insight into this man. He is purporting himself as an angel of light, but he is far from it.
Oh no, not the anti-christ references! Obama has never said he was an angel, nor one of light, lol. Perhaps you've had that impression of him and was disappointed to find him a mere mortal, but the more sensible of us realize he is a politician.
He has great ideas, aN optimistic vision for our countries future. He inspires the people to get involved in how & what our country does, he's motivating us to pay attention, to hold our government accountable and realize that it's not only accountable to us but is made up of us! Young people (like me) never interested in politics before, cynical about government, we're holding ourselves accountable for whether or not our country realizes our dreams for it... That's incredible!! Demonize the man all you want, but the movement is gonna continue.
I find the antichrist references amusing. Besides if they really believe that then they should be voting for Obama. After all (as I've said before) if he is the A.C., it's their god's plan that he take a position of political power. It's pre-ordained. In their "good book". I don't have other women who are successful. I don't consider Palin to be successful. Having a vagina does not make her qualified to be vice-president or president. I support women who are succesful-Margaret Thatcher, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi and many others-but these woman worked hard to get where they are.

A friend of mine summed it up like this: if you're rich and you hate paying taxes for stuff like security, infrastructure . . . and your assets are the most imporatnt thing in your life/in the world, you don't want to help out society as a whole, if you dislike social programs that help people when they're down and when they're up, if you don't believe a woman has the right to choose if she wants to carry a baby to term, if you believe that religion has the right to dictate and mandate how people act even if they don't believe in god or belong to a religion, then you vote for McCain; if you're rich or poor and you don't mind paying taxes for stuff like security, infrastructure . . ., and you want to help out society as a whole, if you like social programs that help people when they're down and when they're up, if you believe a women has the right to choose if she wants to carry a baby to term, if you don't believe that religion has the right to dictate and mandate how people act even if they don't believe in god or belong to a religion, then you vote for Obama.

Great post! My thoughts exactly. Those voting with the theocrats because they think they'll pay lower taxes are selling their birthright (civil liberties) for a bowl of porridge.
I voted Sunday after church and I voted for Obama. I do believe in God and it's because of that belief that I voted for Obama. What McPalin say and their actions do not agree with the bible they say they support. The bible doesn't support hatred, racism, lying deceitful behavior. I do not believe by their actions neither McCain or Palin know anything about the GOD of the bible. Obama's demeanor actions and words say that he does.
I can't wait to watch Obama tonight but I will miss John McSame standing in front of him or walking in front of the Camera. In any case I agree with your response that is what I tell all of the Republican's I know. Hey if you get hurt don't accept disability or workmen's comp., if you have parent's on SS pull them off and you pay to take care of them, don't use the family leave act and on and on. It is just so hypocritical. This is for getting our country back. Defend American fire the Republican's.

Interesting I must say. How can you sit there and actually say, "Because I believe in God, I voted for Obama?" Ha! If you truly believed in God, you would follow a Christian. Right? Ain't that what the Bible says? Obama has already made it clear that our Nation is no longer "Under God" and wants all of that changed. Our Nation was created under God. And that is how it should remain.
Another interesting note. In an earlier post, someone said how Palin should be in jail. Hello!!! Shouldn't Obama be in jail for lying and covering up his citizenship? If my child has to have her birth certificate to go to school (which is mandatory), then Obama should have to fork over his proof of citizenship with no hesitation.
But yeah, I am going to watch... just to see if he falls on his face and his words bite him in his rear.

I think its great that Senator Obama was careful enough NOT to waste his campaign funds and NOW have the ability to buy up all these spots for his FINAL PITCH to the AMERICAN VOTERS! This shows how careful he will be with the tax payers dollars once he takes the oath in Office this Winter. The Republicans deserve to be all taken out of office for their lies, taking away American freedoms, for using scare tactics, divisive politics and and their greed!

There was a white woman standing next to me, she was crying, she was so happy. We all stood together singing songs and jumping around to stay warm. As an African American this is what I have been wishing for for the past 10 years, that we could ALL come together... I'm so happy and proud of this moment and very HOPEful that finally we will see ourselves as Americans who look out for each other....... GO Obama/Biden !!!!!!

The way msnbc has acted over the last months proves Obama already has a political police. They tried to destroy Joe the Plumber, Sarah Palin, the news anchor in Florida... Anyone who stands against Obama's socialism gets bad mouthed and destroyed.
That is scary America. Has it come to this? Will the average person be afraid to speak out??
IF you value your freedoms, the Bill of Rights, The constitution, this great country.... you could not in good heart vote Obama. Yes, I don't like all of what McCain says either but he is not going to lead to the demise of this great country! And McCain is pro-life. Obama wants to sign into bill the Freedom of Choice act and he voted against the ban on partial birth abortion. That is sick. (Look it up if you don't believe me) He doesn't value the sanctity of life. The Declaration of Independance says we were created equal!!!!!! Created. Not lucky to be born. I, too, have young children - boys, 6 & 7 - and I see the future for American that I dream for them in Barack Obama. My boys will watch with my husband and me (past their bedtime, but oh, so worth it!)
I absolutely will watch it! This is the last chance for Americans of all hues, incomes, religions, political perspectives, and ethnic backgrounds to listen to what Obama has to say. I am happy that all of America will be able to see & hear this broadcast because NOT everyone can afford cable yet alone premium cable. NO longer will anyone use the lame excuse that they don't know who Obama is! AFTER tonight, you're either a fool who is voting against your own self-interest or a staunch racist and bigot who cannot see beyond skin color, beyond religious perspectives, beyond class or beyond ethnicity and who wants more of the same even if its hurting them!
