I am voting for obama no matter what. Nothing can change my mind.
already voted for him on september 30th!!!!!!!!
but the ad was very moving!!
Obama 08'
WOw i voted fr Obama already.......His infomercial showed he is the typical everyday american that has a dream...and he pursued it....he really showed his human side it was awesome and it really drove him so far away from his opponets as someone who really is in touch with the typical everyday American
I hope this time next week i will be saying President Obama
Well he didn't have to pursue it for very long. The point of electing a president is to elect someone with experience, someone who has been with American thorugh thick and thin and learned a lot in the process. I'm sorry james, but Obama is not that man. He has been on the national scene for ONLY 4 YEARS and has been running for president for 2 of them! The typical everyday American would not be able to get away with that! The typical everyday American has to work hard and long to achieve such a lofty goal as becoming president. It is the liberal media's love affair with this guy that has propelled him to rock star status. I'm sorry - I don't want my next president to be a rock star.
My husband and I have also already voted for him. I thought the ad was very effective. I also felt that his appearance with Bill Clinton was a winner. Both of them have that certain something that people really like.
Actually YoungLady, he has 10 years of senate experience (8 state senate 2 federal)
with much aisle crossing bi-partisan solutions. In state senate, sponsored 780 bills, 280 were signed into law.His first year as U.S. Senator, Obama held 39 town hall meetings throughout Illinois, and in senate, sponsored 152 bills and resolutions, and cosponsored 427 more Speaker Harry Reid designated Barack Obama as the Senate point man on ethics. Obama is known unquestionable ethics and integrity. So if you took the time to learn something about the man other than soundbites from a couple of tv commercials you might have a different view. Educate yourself.
Younglady, experience has gotten us where??? McCain has yet to talk about the future, OUR future in detail because he is focused on the past. We are sitting at one of America's biggest lows in history and McCain said, "The fundamentals of the economy are strong." Reality check, his experience and words are about as good as one can throw him.
Compared to 26 years of ineffective pandering to the rich. No contest I would say.
"I already voted for him"....HOW MANY TIMES? Hey Hillary, Can you say ACORN? hahahaha
younglady....I personally don't want someone typical...I want someone extraordinary! So when mcbush picked failin as a vp pick...I knew it was a gimmick.
Obama will be the president this country has been waiting a long time for....
1 citizen...1 vote!
How does anyone vote for a man that supported the murder of babies born alive. In the debate he misrepresented his vote. The law he spoke of allowed an abortionist to save a baby. Why would and abortionist save a baby he was just killing? He wouldn't. Obama voted three times to have babies born alive killed. He also voted for partial birth abortion. He again misstated his record on the debate. Do any of you know that during an abortion they take a child with arms, legs and a brain. One that can suck their thumb or hiccup, pull off it's arms and legs. Crush the skull, vaccum out the brains and then pull the dead boy out. Did you kow that the baby can feel the pain of death. How do you vote for a man that supports this? Are country is morally deprived and it sickens me that we have fallen so far. Next time you vote for a man like this go look at pictures of the remains of a baby that has been aborted. Barbaric absolutely barbaric. Michelle Obama may be proud. I am sickened.
PerryJ you are disgusting. You grossly and I do mean grossly exagerate positions of Obama and what happens. You have been sucked in by propoganda. Obama has stated repeatedly that he is personally against abortion BUT niether he NOR YOU, are a doctor. If I had been raped (which is phsical abuse, NOT sex) and the result was a pregnancy, I would be difficult to think about not healing all the wounds from the attack. If I was pregnant with life threatening complications and the choice was to die and leave my other children without their mother or grieve and survive. I would live for my surviving children.
No one wants abortion and those who attempt to use to "correct mistakes" are wrong BUT it is a moral decision and not a legal one. If you want to eliminate abortion, fix the cause, not the symptom.
Republicans are pro-life until you reach an age where they can kill you with a lethal injection. I guess it's all in the timing for you people.
Perry J do you remember being born?
You may hate abortion but IT IS NOT UP TO YOU OR ANY RELIGIOUS GROUP TO DECIDE WHAT IS BEST FOR A WOMAN AND HER FAMILY! IT IS A PRIVATE AND PERSONAL DECISION.
It blows my mind how Retardicans champion freedom and rooting out the "terrorist"evil but then they want a sort of Taliban-esque Christian totalitarian control over the U.S. It's illogical and total hypocrisy.
YoungLady - I know republicans are rather slow when it comes to responding to things. From the long head start they gave the Taliban in Afghanistan after 9/11, to tracking down Bin Ladin [insert loud sarcastic laughter here], to seeing that Wall Street and our economy was collapsing.......and so on.
But I ask you how long should it have taken Mr. Obama or any normal American that cares more about the country than their own party to realize that our nation is in trouble from the combination of the Bush administration and the current (lobbyist controlled) Washington political machine. How long should it have taken to see that they simply were not minding the ship? Should it take him 26 years like McGrumpy?
I'm sorry but I tend to be more impressed that a man that can get into the pits of the Washinton slime and figure out how it works, figure out that the system isn't working and come up with a plan for fixing it, and inspiring peoples hopes and dreams for our government and our country in only 2 YEARS time.
Perry J: I am not for abortion either. I would never have one, or encourage anyone to have one. But, my opinion is that the government has no right to make that decision for a woman! If God forbid my daughter was raped, and chose to terminate the pregnancy, who has the right to tell her she must carry the baby? Noone! Obama is not a baby killer, he just supports the women's choice to make that decision for herself!
If every woman who chose abortion as birth control would watch a video of an actual abortion(each method), then choose to do this(after getting all of the info), then she will have to live with her choice just as we all do when we "choose". The crux is that we do everything we can to save a premie(what we call it when we want it) but randomly throw the rest in a trashcan when we want to call it a fetus. Educate yourself folks and personally take responsibility for yourselves. Obama does not want to "punish" one of his daughters with an unwanted pregnancy(sounds like he had a hand in causing it-I hope he never has to face this personally). May God keep his hand on our nation and not remove it lest we fall!
PerryJ, your post was disgusting. Obama is not for abortion, he is for choice. And the bill you are speaking of wasn't signed by him because it didn't have any provisions for protecting the health of the mother. I don't know how many women's sides you have sat by, families, when they are making this decision. It is not an easy one. I know, because Ive seen it. I am a labor and delivery nurse. There are times when a pregnancy is physically threatening the life of the mother, and she must be delivered. There are no vacuums involved, no ripping off of body parts. It is absolutely gut wrenching to be a part of that. That is the provision. That those with a medically indicated need to end the pregnancy (which does not always mean ending a life) have the right to choose. What good would a dead mother, and a dead baby be to the 5 motherless children left at home? What if it's her first baby, and we let her die? She could've gone on to become a mother someday, and been happy. I do not agree with going to an abortion clinic and having a partial birth/late term abortion. It's terrible. I agree with you there. I am pro life, but I'm pro choice as well. We all make difficult choices in our lives, and for the people that make those kinds, out of selfishness, well they have to go to sleep with that at night. Not too long ago women weren't allowed to vote. I cannot take away a woman's right to choose, not when there are so many choices.
can't you please just keep your santa claus out of politics? Can't you please keep your easter bunny out of the classroom? Can't you please just go read your book in private and be happy with what it says to you without trying to make the rest of the world march to the tune of your religious fantasy?
Can't you see that you are no differant from the ones that train children to carry bombs for them? Can't you see that you are all part of the same problem?
I am truly well and tired of your religious ranting, I am sick of your attemtpting to take over and change the country based on your narrow and foolish belief system. Stop it already, grow up, get an education, but most of all...
Please stop trying to force your beliefs on the rest of the world.
COMMENTARY: From The Washington Times
The October surprise may turn out to be a seven-year-old interview with in which he strongly suggests that the U.S. Constitution is an impediment to his desire to redistribute the nation's wealth. How does Mr. Obama credibly take the oath of office to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States" when he thinks it impedes his socialist agenda?
Is socialism too strong a word? Consider one of its definitions from dictionary.com and tell me it is something other than Mr. Obama's economic philosophy: "A theory or system of social reform which contemplates a complete reconstruction of society, with a more just and equitable distribution of property and labor."
A complete restructuring of society is what Mr. Obama advocated in a 2001 interview on a Chicago public radio station. According to Politico.com, in that interview, Mr. Obama, "reflecting on the Warren Court's successes and failures in helping to usher in civil rights, said, "I think where it succeeded was to vest formal rights in previously dispossessed peoples." He has it backward. The Creator already endowed African-American people with these rights, which is precisely the argument powerfully made by the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Any rights that are "vested" in people by other people may be removed by the same or future people. Endowed rights are "unalienable" and what America did was to finally recognize those rights. The distinction is crucial because it also relates to abortion and many other social issues. If a court can take away the right to life, then no endowed right is safe.
Mr. Obama continues with a comment that the "Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of the redistribution of wealth and sort of basic issues of political and economic justice in this society, and to that extent as radical as people try to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn't that radical." Does he mean that for real "justice" to have been achieved, the Warren Court should have taken from the rich and given to the black poor? Mr. Obama never said what would happen once the redistributed money ran out. Perhaps this was not to be a one-time event, but a lifetime of "reparations" for slavery, as some other left-wing black leaders have proposed.
On Bill O'Reilly's Fox show Monday night, former Democratic vice presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro defended high taxes in New York and Mr. Obama's pledge to raise them nationally, saying, "At least they're not taking it all." It may have been an attempt at humor, but this betrays the Democratic Party's attitude. They have the right to say how much of your hard-earned money you can keep. We should be telling government how much of our money we will allow them to spend. Anyone hoping to make more money and improve their lives will have to work even harder to overcome Mr. Obama's redistribution plans.
Mr. Obama thought the Warren Court should have "broken free" from the constraints placed on the Constitution and the courts by the Founding Fathers. This is remarkable hubris. Mr. Obama said the Constitution mostly "says what the states can't do to you... what the federal government can't do to you, but it doesn't say what the federal government or state government must do on your behalf." That's because the Constitution is about liberty and protecting citizens from oppressive and invasive government.
This is scary stuff. That it is only now surfacing is another reminder of the poor job the mainstream media have done in vetting Mr. Obama. Barack Obama thinks the Constitution and the country it helped create should be remade in his image. He wants to be a founding father of a different America, one that would bear little resemblance to the country we have known. This is radical in the extreme and Mr. Obama, along with his many acolytes who are itching to get their hands on unchecked political power, are a danger to this nation's survival. Listen to the interview: ().
John McCain stands in the way of a complete liberal coup that would transform America in ways the Founders and most Americans would oppose. Mr. McCain may be dull at times; he may have run an imperfect campaign; he should have spent more time exposing Mr. Obama as a radical socialist instead of worrying what the media would say if he did, but John McCain is a patriot who has proved his love, service and dedication to this country in ways Mr. Obama cannot begin to achieve or appreciate.
Electing Barack Obama president of the United States would be a roll of loaded dice. We will live (and possibly die) to regret it. Republicans have made many mistakes and deserve the punishment they are now getting, but the one charge that cannot be laid at their doorstep is that they wanted to rewrite the Constitution and weaken the country.
Mr. Obama will do that and more. Wake up, America, and stop flirting with this guy because you are flirting with potential disaster.

TN0101 - I'm not sure I understand your ability to be pro-life and pro-choice? It's either one or the other. As a nurse, I understand how difficult it is to watch difficult labors and heartbroken families. That is NOT the abortion agenda --- millions of babies are aborted every year for birth control, not rape or a life threatening illness. This example is used time and time again and now that we know that Roe vs Wade was built on the lie of a woman being raped, it needs to be thrown out. Abortions cost this country millions of dollars every year -- taxpayers money. For people who believe in the rights of an unborn child to live, the thought of even one penny of their tax money being spent in the manner is the sickening part. As a nurse, you know that the unborn child is NOT a part of the woman's body - it's not an arm, or an organ - but a life that depends on her for a short period of time. If, God forbid, she were murdered by her husband (which is the #1 or 2 way a pregnant woman dies in this country), he would be charged for her death, and the death of the child. We are shocked that the country of China kills so many babies every year - we look at them as being animals. Our "death" rate is comprable - so who's right?
Please view this link above. This may cure you youthful ignorance Where you around during the Jimmy Carter years? Interest rate for a Home was 18% and you could only get gas on even and odd days. The lines for gas went around the block.
The worst president ever and now we have selected an even more liberal one in Obama.
mos912- Absolutely you can be both. I do not advocate for the killing of children, alive or gestating. But, in certain circumstances, women, and children, should be given a choice. I'm not trying to be "right". I'm just stating an opinion on something I have been a part of on many sad occasions. My problem is that we need a bill that will cover her, not just a huge blanket prohibiting everything. I am not self-righteous, there are just certain situations where I feel vehemently that rights should be protected. I made it clear that I was not in favor of going to a clinic for partial birth abortions just because the woman changes her mind. There are plenty of people who would love to adopt. I am advocating for provisions. My state already has them, that is what I am defending.
I see your point, and obviously the women you encounter are lucky to have someone as caring as you are - after reading several opinions (some are just plain scary), I lumped everything into one post. I don't know the absolute right/wrong answer for every situation, but I do think that based on the number of abortions we have daily, life is looking very "disposable." What will that opinion mean to the next generation - then the next? I would hate to see mankind become nonchalant about life and death.
I voted for Barack Obama last week.

We all will decide on our own - but since knowledge is power, I am passing this along...
A question of perspective :
Obama/Biden v.s. McCain/Palin, what if things were switched around?..... think about it. Would the country's collective point of view be different? Could racism be the culprit? Ponder the following:
· What if the Obamas had paraded five children across the stage, including a three-month-old infant and an unwed, pregnant teenage daughter?
· What if John McCain was a former president of the Harvard Law Review?
· What if Barack Obama finished fifth from the bottom of his graduating class?
· What if McCain had only married once, and Obama was a divorcee?
· What if Obama was the candidate who left his first wife after a severe disfiguring car accident, when she no longer measured up to his standards?
· What if Obama had met his second wife in a bar and had a long affair while he was still married?
· What if Michelle Obama was the wife who not only became addicted to painkillers but also acquired them illegally through her charitable organization?
· What if Cindy McCain graduated from Harvard?
· What if Obama had been a member of the Keating Five? (The Keating Five were five United States Senators accused of corruption in 1989, igniting a major political scandal as part of the larger Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s.)
· What if McCain was a charismatic, eloquent speaker?
· What if Obama couldn't read from a teleprompter?
· What if Obama was the one who had military experience that included discipline problems and a record of crashi ng seven planes?
· What if Obama was the one who was known to display publicly, on many occasions, a serious anger management problem?
· What if Michelle Obama's family had made their money from beer distribution?
· What if the Obamas had adopted a white child?
· You could easily add to this list. If these questions reflected reality, do you really believe the election numbers would be as close as they are?
This is what racism does. It covers up, rationalizes and minimizes positive qualities in one candidate and emphasizes negative qualities in another when there is a color difference.

Education isn't everything, but this is about the two highest offices in the land as well as our standing in the world. You make the call.
I've made my choice. Experience over someone's resume. McCain/Palin '08
Resumes ARE experience, when they are as amazing as Barack's.
Obama/Biden '08
Excellent questions. I too have already voted and my choice was based on intelligence, the world has saw what happened when we put a person into the most powerful office who had a low IQ. Although Bush made late night TV fun to watch, he was a disaster. The experience the GOP has tried to program into people is a joke. Learn from past mistakes and don't make them again. If McCain gets into office, this country, which is already hanging by a thread, will be doomed because he is a hawk. Also, can you imagine his disjointed team entering into the West Wing, trying to make cabinet choices? Experience? No, look for smart judgement, intelligence, a calm demeanor. . . . . I saw that all tonight and it confirmed my vote for Obama.
A Resume is a history of your experience. McCain/Palin Resume's combined equal one degree. None of the current candidates have ever been President of the US. So all are applying for a job they've never had. If you were running a business you would pick the most qualified candidate. Knowledge, temperment and an ability to communicate with everyone would be at the top of any good interveiwers list. It really isn't McCain/Palin.
A whole lot of experience making bad judgements (de-regulation, cutting taxes for the uber wealthy, supporting an unjust war, etc) don't make up for better understanding, more intelligence, and better judgement.
Hate to rain on your parade but Biden finished at near the bottom of his class in both undergrad and law school. He was almost thrown out of law school for plagiarism (cheating).
iam3putz - What a perfectly descriptive ID you have! Obama touched all the bases and hit a home run. I haven't been moved this emotionally since JFK spoke. Amazing!
It's just too bad those who would have benefitted fom this wonderful half hour probably watched some stupid cartoon or rerun.
Obama/Biden '08....and beyond
very very good point
Made me even happier that I voted for McCain. Experience over empty promises any day!
McCain: 28 years in the Senate and vast foreign affairs experience
Palin: Governor of Alaska
Obama: "community organizer", 2 years in the Senate and no executive experience
Biden: be careful when he opens his mouth
just proof of what people have said before.....obama the elitist...the intellectual elitist.
you say "education isn't everything"....looks like it is for you!
personally, i believe a marxist socialist education is everything! everything obama stands for. hell, who needs a constitution....we have a lawyer in the oval office....he'll make up a new one.....since the old one didn't do a thing for this nation.
What has Obama done with his opportunities--nothing of note! And by the way, why has he never released his grades from Occidental and Columbia? Did he get into Harvard Law School on the basis of his grades or on the basis of affirmative action? How did he pay for all those top-notch schools? And why if he's such a super lawyer, did he let his law license expire in 2002? He did nothing in the Illinois State Legislature until his last year when he was gifted bills to co-sponsor by Senate President Emil Jones. And what has Obama done since being elected to the U. S. Senate except to run for president. Those voting for Obama are voting for a president in a poke. McCain and Palin aren't perfect, but at least they've been vetted and we know their histories and accomplishments. Moreover, neither McCain nor Palin regularly hang around with terrorists, embezzlers, Communists, and race-baiting preachers.
We're not electing your phony "what ifs" president.
I find it interesting that Palin and McCain are ridiculed for their PUBLIC education backgrounds (smorgasbord of state schools and Annapolis, respectively)--vs. Biden and Obama's gilded backgrounds of Syracuse University and Harvard University, respectively. Please, do not let schools be an indicator of intelligence/ability, remember, Bush (no fan here) went to Yale (UG) and Harvard (MBA)--and look how that turned out! Besides, I thought that public education was the liberal mantra...hmmm, why should this be a negative?
Unfortunately, all of you are drinking the "Kool-Aid" if you believe that any of these candidates are going to change anything for you. At some point, no matter who is elected, buyer's remorse will kick in. Unfortunately, "I told you so" will not make anyone or anything better.
Obama, injecting his populous message, will get elected. This is unfortunate, because, as an economist, I can tell you that he has no real plan, just veneer--he is telling you what you WANT to hear--pure snake oil.
Besides, the derivatives market is about to collapse (600 trillion dollars, or about 18 times the global GP), personal credit has yet to burst (another 1.5 trillion--almost 900 billion is already >30 days delinquent). 85% of Americans are functionally bankrupt, and thanks to Biden and the Democrats, you can no longer file personal filing for Chapter 7 or Chapter 11 bankruptcy, you must file Chapter 13, which does NOT remove your responsibility for debt, but actually orders liquidation of assets and a judgment or lien for the balance...not really on the side of working Americans, is it? With medical costs where they are--thanks to insurance companies, doctors, lawyers, government, and pharmaceutical companies, personal bankruptcy is more and more likely for many Americans. I personally paid out over $19,000 last year for medical insurance (my contribution was $6,000, my company pays $6,000), prescription drugs--$8,000, and $5,000 out-of-pocket). With a gross income of $110,000 this is untenable for a prolonged period of time. My wife and I have decided that she can no longer be a stay-at-home mother, and she will try to secure a job, just to cover medical expenses. Joe Biden ushered these changes to the Bankruptcy laws to protect his Delaware banking interests--pork barrel legislation on the backs of Main Street Americans.
As Lord Acton (John Emerich Edward Dalberg-Acton, 1st Baron Acton) stated, "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely." (In a letter he wrote to scholar and ecclesiastic Mandell Creighton, dated April 1887)... note to Joe Biden--I used citations.
Handing the Democrats 60+ seats in the Senate, 270+ seats in the House, and the Presidency is a scary proposition, as it is with any single party in power--our post election government will be as corrupt as or more corrupt than the last 8-years. As Newt Gingrich stated, "We (the Republicans 1994 majority) came to Washington to drain the swamp, but discovered it made a pretty nice hot tub."
PREDICTION: The Dow will be @ 7700 by the 5th of November and 6000 by Jan 20th. Everyone that I know has sell orders in with their brokers set to execute on Wednesday should Obama win...say good-bye to your 101K (ne 401) and retirement/pension fund (I pulled the plug on my investments in Oct '07). By the way, I am no McCain Supporter, either. This is one time I wish we had a viable 3rd party candidate! Americans truly are STUPID--that is the outcome of an uneducated populous (the true reason for public education in America is to propogate the NEED for government by keeping the public functionally dependent)—and it is is now reaching a critical mass.

he does read from a telepromter dummy!
Sorry, this posted twice, MSNBC stated that there was an error, and that I needed to re-post.
Iamaputz - good monicker! Experience over resume? McCain - 26 yrs in Congress and all he has is done is get himself wealthy (Remember Keating). Never worked a day in his life. And Palin is just a joke. I wouldn't hire her, on her qualifications to be a janitor, let alone a babysitter - we've all seen how her kids are turning out.
Gray - You carefully fail to mention that McCain also supported the change in the Bankruptcy laws which were passed in 2005 (at a time when the Republicans had control over both the House, the Senate and the WHiteHouse), - so how is that the "fault" of the democrats?
Your friends are as dumb as you if they all have sell orders. Throwing away good money. I am cautiously buying as there are some great bargains to be made thanks to the stupid people like your friends who sell low and buy high - I love you.
To those still parroting no experience, never did anything, etc... Read, learn about the people running, repeating the same lies over and over again doesn't make them true.

To those of you who stand behind McCain because of his experience:
He showed mass confusion just recently with the economic crisis, acting like he was saving the world in a dramatic fashion telling lies to his followers, stood David Letterman up in his confusion to look good after he hit the panic button...if he had the experience he would have acted calm, collected, contacted people, and eased the fears of Americans. Exactly like Obama did. McCain cannot fight his way out of a wet paper bag which is why he said his VP would have to help him. This came out of his own mouth. Which is why experts like Colin Powell A REPUBLICAN and long-time close friend of McCain IS VOTING FOR BARACK OBAMA. Doesn't take a rocket scientist unless you are in denial and/or full of negative energy to see this. McCain has no plan because he will be following George Bush's plan...you can go to their websites and print out their plans. Obama's is about an inch thick and McCain's is about 20 pages, a 1/4 of the size as Obama's.
Surprisng how they say McCain is erratic. The old folks called it plumb crazy.
LOL, good one logdump...and how McCain and Palin are scrapping of late...how could they possibly govern together if they are already butting heads? He snubbed her for a lengthy time on the bus trip, totally ignoring her. If they can't get along now, how will they ever work together?
judith....God will smite you for your ignorance...repent....step away from the republican brainwashing coolaid....As Grace Slick once said....feed your head!
Gray-Do you want to pay income tax on your employer supplied healthcare benefits?? Maybe the school doesn't matter, but being in the bottom one percent may be an indication of intelligence.
I read this on Newsweek too. So true..it's a matter of perspective. Can you imagine if Michelle Obama had been a drug addict? or if Barack had graduated 4th from the bottom of his class? Here is a man with impeccable credentials, with a wife who is equally intelligent. Just think, we can actually have a couple in the White House who can make this country proud.
TR,
I am glad Obama pays you well. After living in Illinois all of my life and realy starting to pay attention to politics over the last 12-15 years i can not think of any good thing Obama has done for us. The town hall meetings you spoke of must have never left his church in Chicago (where they preached to get rid of all white people). The most memorable thing he did while working for the state of Illinois was his vote that babies can be killed after birth if the parrent really wanted an abortion (he might not have been quite as intellectual as we thought or he overthought the situation or he voted the party line on abortion).
I voted for mim as a Senator because i thought with his law background he might do some good helping to form laws for our country. However nearly immediately after his election to Senate he began his run for the presidency. It makes it hard to determine any good he did as a Senator since he has done nothing other than follow party lines.
Although i like McCain more than Obama I still hope he will do a good job as president.
Everyone speaks of character and moral judgement for Obama. I think all of us in this country come into contact with questionable characters. Most of us choose to not associate with them when we find out their character. Mr. Obama chose to still associate with a domestic terrorist and a rabid minister preaching hate. He chose to accociate with these people even after he knew what they did and how they thought. From a presidential candidate i think this is unacceptable and speaks of his character. If he associated with these people for so many years he must have some of their beliefs.
What if Obama had sponsored more than one bill that has been enacted. I am not talking about bills that he added his name later. He has started and sponsored one bill. It was to control the sale of mercury. He also sponsored four days of commemoration. Don't forget that he knew about the Financial Crisis and made the outstanding decision to write a letter. He didn't organize a meet, or create legislation, didn't have a press meeting he wrote a letter. He did vote against two Republican bills that would have corrected the problem. He also did take 1 million dollars. He is truly the leader we need. Wow, what a guy.
Not to mention his support of infanticide. He got on national TV and intentionally misrepresented his vote. He voted three times for infanticide.
I am embarrased for our country that anyone would vote for a man with so little morals. It is a total embarrassment. If any of you that voted for Obama and is a Christian I would suggest you talk to God and ask him to forgive your vote that will kill tens of million of children that feel the pain of death. (Do not post anything silly about him wanting to reduce abortions. That is nonsense he supports FOCA.) What will you tell the tens of million of children that are being killed when you die. What excuse will you give? I am sickened by this countries lack of basic morals.
gguelde--Just because he knows people like that does not mean he has lunch with them. I know a few people who I wish I didn't. It doesn't mean that I have slumber party's with them or that I even like the fact that I know them. The fact that you can judge someone by who they know shows just how ignorant you are. I'm also sure that you know at least one person that isn't a good person. Should we judge you for it? If we were to go by your logic then I guess I got my answer. You really need to educate yourself. And if you don't already-please don't have children. The last thing we need is more people in the world like you.
PerryJ. You must be a man. Its a womans choise to carry on with a pregnacy. I personally wouldn't do it but I am not going to sit here and judge people for their decissions. It's much worse to bring a child into this world and see it starve or beaten to death then for a mother to make the right decission for herself. There are so many children out there that don't have a home or are really in dangerous houses. Are you there to help them? NO!!! I personally donate money to children, do you? I DOUBT IT! But you will sit there and say that crap. Lets take care of the children who need it now!
Amanda
You are a "typical" obama backer. Any time you would like to compare levels of inteligence, education or common sence please let me know. For your information I have never met or continued to associate with a domestic terrorist. And although i have met people who were less than the ideal character (racist, criminal or whatever) i no longer associated with them after finding out.
I do have children and i preach to them the value of hard work and education. You must not have children which is a good thing because from your comments to me and Perry J you would probably preach the value of welfare, murder, racism and overall hate.
Please refrain from being the typical Obama backer and insulting people from the other side. This is supposed to be fun and educational. If you havent already discovered there is more fact based comments on this site than you will ever see in the evening news. Everyone has already investigated their comments.
If you just want to see happy joy joy statements watch MSNBC they have a lot of those stories, but never give the other side.
I did not say Obama is a bad person, I just questioned his judgement and character. He can prove me wrong in the first four years of his term and i may vote for him in the next election.
I do have children also and I would rather raise them open minded. I am neither democrat or republican. I do my homework and check the facts on both canidates. I can't stand reading stupid people like yourself sit there and call him all kinds of names when basically everything you called him, he is not and it's been proven. My daughter scored the highest in her grade and she is above her grade level so you can preach to your children all you want. She is also more compasionate than any adult I know. If John McCain wasn't so busy bashing Obama and making up lies and just telling the country what GOOD he will do than maybe he would have gotten my vote. It McCain backers like you who don't care enough about our country to do a little fact checking before you post so you can call me a "typical" Obama backer-that's fine. I'd rather be that than an ignorant McCain backer. Also I am white and have black neices and I am also a girl scout leader and I volunteer at my local nursing home and handicap home. I also donate money to childrens hospitals and organizations that help homeless children and every year my girl scouts donate hats and mittens to people who cant afford them and we have a free lunch for people that cant afford food. So again- you don't know what your talking about but go ahead and judge someone you don't know. You seem to be good at it. Tell me what did you do that's good for your community? I bet nothing.
Once again you resort to name calling and lies. I never called Mr. Obama anything negative. I just questioned him on some policies, I have better respect for most people than you are capable of. You are still calling me ignorant but no longer want to discuss your superior intellect. I have also donated to my community one way or another for several years from monetary to service. It is a conservatives way to just do it and not brag. I am happy you are pationate, but disagree with your motives when cutting down a persons character you know nothing about. I also have black family members and I am white, our political discussions are much more tempered than what you are capable of. My judgement of you was in retaliation of your insults. If you do not like to be judged then do not judge others.
If you think I am lying about your intentions reread your first replys and se how divisive your comments were. I at least said I was open minded enough to give him a chance his second time around if he is not lying know.
this will be my last reply to you because you are not capable of a decent conversation without spreading the hate. You should go to Obamas church.
I really don't care if you reply. I gave my opinion just like yours but it was you that said "you would probably preach the value of welfare, murder, racism and overall hate" and I do nothing of the sort. I care more about 100 people than I bet you do 1! And again you are judging me because you dont know what I am capable of. And just to get you facts straight I never tried to compare my superior intellect-that was you. I will compare our children because I KNOW by your replys that I am raising them better than you are yours. It's are children that are going to run this country when we pass on. I want someone who is willing to help people. Not everyone can work as hard as me or you. You seem to be one of those people who only care about what you work for you keep and screw the rest but me on the other hand (and my children) would work twice as hard to make sure the less fortunate can have something too and that's what we do. So I say yes.. tax me alittle more so the people who scrap by can get by a little better. I'm not selfish. I live by "one for all and all for one" where I am sure that you live by "every man and woman for theirself". I can sleep at night knowing that I am making the world a better place. I hope you have sleeping pills. I think you need to read my posts again and maybe realize that not all people are like you. You wouldn't have gotten so defensive if I had the same opinon as you. And if YOU can't take critisism on your posts, than you shouldn't post anything to begin with. I'll agree to disagree but you should stop judging people you don't know. Read the facts more.
Judith O'D - given your statement, I have to ask does O'D stand for your last name or your medical diagnosis. Experience??? Please.....With all of McGrumpysnob's experience he couldn't even manage to beat George W. Bush (the most unintelligent and worst president in the history of our country)......IN TWO TRIES. His experience stems from the old Washington game of 'vote with the status quo and you keep your job' (for 26 years). Case in point, instead of making his own mark and establishing himself in the Senate over the last 8 years by using his "experience" to make sound decisions of right and wrong - McCain just voted with his illiterate president for whatever he wanted.
Barack Obama and the rest of us Americans have "Experienced" enough of Bush's policy and McCains 26 years of being led by the special interest lobbyist.
Amanda,
I can not resist. In your first post dirrected at me you called me uneducated and that is personal and a dirrect attack. you then got more violent.
.
i take offence to your comments that i do not raise my children correctly. I am very glad you are doing a good job. My daughter just at 4 has been accepted into kindergarten. I know you cant ask people who know me, but if you would like i could line up several hundred to inform you of what i have done for them
It sounds like we have similar lives but are on the separate sides of the fence on this. I am more than happy to let people vote the way they want to, I used to like this site because you could throw out a question and people would either verify it or prove me wrong. Because of your verbal abuse i went out and voted early. It was becoming more and more clear that the obama backers would not answer the tough questions of terrorism. I have only to asume that was because they did not know the answers. However they are very rabid when the questions are asked
/
Since i live in Illinois, my vote does not matter for president. I was curious of the answers to my questions before voting. I will pray Mr. Biden is wrong about the outlook of a terrorist attack when obama is elected. This is more for people like you (i am assuming by your retoric you are either a suburbanite or live in the city. If there are buss bombs and or mas transit bombs, i should be safe in the country. I wory for my friends and family that live in large cities.
If it turns out my worries are for nothing I appologize know for asking the tough questions.
.
Good luck i hope the best for you
No judgement Amanda - just a comment. When you said that you know people you wish you didn't know, that was very telling of your character. You obviously know the difference. The problem is - Barack Obama does not wish he didn't know the long list of people who DO have questionable characters. I'm sure you have a mental list of the people you would not what your child to spend time with - why? Because you know that it is very easy to be led in the wrong direction (and your child wouldn't even notice). What the American people deserve to know is how did these people mold Senator Obama's character? Some of these people are in jail or should be - not one of them is speaking out loud about their relationship with Obama. No one is denying any of the negative press (many are ignoring it). This isn't an invitation to start bashing McCain - it's simply a request for the truth. How can we trust someone who won't tell us what we want to know? If he is elected, be prepared to pay for dinners and sleepover's in the Lincoln bedroom by people who were hidden from us during the election.
No, he had my vote. It was refreshingly positive and what I expected of this great candidate.
We already voted from Obama, but we watched. We were both moved to tears. We need this man to be our President. He will renew our standing in the world, and give hope and pride back to our country. The United States has given the Republicans a nice, long ride, and they've almost destroyed us. It's time for hope. Hope does float!
I voted for Barack last week. My spouse voted for him yesterday. My children have or will vote for him. The commercial (?) went by all too fast.
i did not vote for barack to young no ecperiance also making to many promises he cant keep.whats to have a lot more people to be able to buy a car and put many many more on the roads. who is going to pay for better higheays and roads and bridges to accomadate all these cars he wants to put on the roads???
Intelligent, inspiring, moving...and very presidential.Â
Has my vote!
Yeaaaaaaa!!! You goooooooooooo Senator Obama!! My whole family is voting for you!!!
I bet Senator McCain and Sarah Palin were moved to vote for you too!!
Your info-mercial brought tears to my eyes....seeing what Americans are going thru.. Americans are hurting everywhere.. and we neeeeeeddddddddddd someone who is thoughtful and intelligent and kind!!
Now America,, Go do the right thing (-; Change, it is a comin!!!!!!!!!!!!
typical fear mongering repubnik post
hey bryan
i think me and you both agree....that republicans stink
The odor comes from all that moldy money in their wallets they hang on to and treat it as a rosary.
Hey Jack Hammer - have someone hit you in the head with one. Likely you need prayer support based on your uneducated comment. I will pray for you.
Where are all the whiny ol' GOP commentors??? Where are they??? I thought they were going to bash this 30 minute fiasco like a piniata???? What??? Where are you????.... oh.... it was 30 minutes of nothing but positive things to say? really? And nothing negative? nothing at all? oh.... and no snake oil for sale either? ... oh. must be... it wasn't all that bad.... must be.... he didn't feel the need to attack the character of the other candidate? You don't say. And it was enough to stand on his own two feet and talk about the things that matter. hm. I now invite anyone and everyone to complain about how expensive it was...... because it's perfectly fair considering it is needed to counter all the money wasted on the negative awful fear-inducing McCain ads.
Read below
rpmranch... is that some sort of... acronym? rotations per minute ... ranch? I "read below" and the only things rotating are my eyes... I think I rolled them several times. I can invoke famous quotes too. Kinda makes it look like you have nothing original to say...
I've got one though! Made me laugh at least: "[McCain will soon] be accusing me of being a secret communist because I shared my toys in kindergarten." -Obama, from an AP article
McCain probably will
It was 30 min. of the same-o-same-o. Nothing new, nothing more than a car show without the engine in the car.......
I think he needs to confront and really answer the questions...not dilly-dally and 2 step them over and over again.
I came from a VERY middle class, 4 other sibbling famliy. Mom stayed home and dad was the bread winner....it was hard, we struggled and did without fancy things, BUT...we were a family no matter what the economy was and how hard we had to do without. We new that America was a good place and our home, and proud of it.
I just don't feel that from Obama. His ad was filled with a story of his life and what he went through...okay, fine I get it....but what about NOW!!!! What about my future, my hard earned money that you want to take from me....?????? and give to the people that may not work, or have the motivation to make it in this nation. Why do I have to give, when I feel I give to the nation every day of my working life to make it strong by working and not working.......? WHY!!!???
I am very fearing of what will happen tomorrow and what this particular person will be able to identify with me, a single white female, over 40, trying to make it on my own....no help....and any day may loose my job.....than what......I should feel good about taking money from someone else that has worked so hard for that? I should feel good about taking money without earning it? I am what I am because I do work, because I feel motivated when I work, I feel I am making a contribution to the nations when I work......what is wrong with all of you out there.....have you lost your motivation to live and particapate in making our nation that much better by being a factor?
Lord help you that think this tax cut of Obama will make better people, citizens, and bring us together.....you need to do a relaity check.....
Oh Yes, one more thing.....STOP USING THE RACE CARD!!!! I am sooooo sick of that....it makes me very ill to think that we have to listen to so many cry about this topic......move on......if I could I would use my background, looks, sex that so many people calling me names because I am a tall, blond, blue eyed women, with a heritage of second generation of German....so you can imagine the comments I get both race, sextual, and ethinic......but I don't.....
We already voted for him, but we watched. We were very moved. I found myself tearing up. America needs this man to be our President. He will restore our standing in the world. He has already made millions of us feel patriotic, and have a desire to be involved and to make a difference. The Republicans have had a nice, long ride and have almost destroyed us. We need and deserve to feel hopeful and positive about being American again. Obama is hope, and hope does indeed float!

A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor and bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government.
Thomas Jefferson
Yep, I'm a sap and proud of it. It's folks that aren't sappy that have put our country into the shape it's in. Have a nice night.
I love that quote by Thomas Jefferson, too bad the GOP has not used that as to guide the country the last 12 years. Nothing the GOP has done or said in the last 12 years have been anything near this quote. Nice try.
I couldn't have said it better myself! I can't wait to vote Nov. 4!!
Socialism = Hope
Welfare = Tax Credit.
Folks get used to the new language..
To Linda-496324 and all the others who actually believe what Palin says....
Here's what else Palin has said (courtesy of the New Yorker Magazine and Hendrick Hertzberg:
A few weeks before she was nominated for Vice-President, she told a visiting journalist Philip Gourevitch, of this magazine that "we're set up, unlike other states in the union, where it's collectively Alaskans own the resources. So we share in the wealth when the development of these resources occurs."
Perhaps you'd like to read it again...
A few weeks before she was nominated for Vice-President, she told a visiting journalist Philip Gourevitch, of this magazine that "we're set up, unlike other states in the union, where it's collectively Alaskans own the resources. So we share in the wealth when the development of these resources occurs."
A wee bit hypocritical, no? I suppose that type of "socialism" and "sharing in the wealth" is ok, because it's coming from Palin?
Here's the entire paragraph from the New Yorker article for more context:
For her part, Sarah Palin, who has lately taken to calling Obama "Barack the Wealth Spreader," seems to be something of a suspect character herself. She is, at the very least, a fellow-traveller of what might be called socialism with an Alaskan face. The state that she governs has no income or sales tax. Instead, it imposes huge levies on the oil companies that lease its oil fields. The proceeds finance the government's activities and enable it to issue a four-figure annual check to every man, woman, and child in the state. One of the reasons Palin has been a popular governor is that she added an extra twelve hundred dollars to this year's check, bringing the per-person total to $3,269. A few weeks before she was nominated for Vice-President, she told a visiting journalist Philip Gourevitch, of this magazine that "we're set up, unlike other states in the union, where it's collectively Alaskans own the resources. So we share in the wealth when the development of these resources occurs." Perhaps there is some meaningful distinction between spreading the wealth and sharing it ("collectively," no less), but finding it would require the analytic skills of Karl the Marxist.
Good try...but what Alaska does, and has been doing for years, is lease the land to oil companies to prospect for oil and earn revenues; but takes the proceeds from the lease and uses that revenue to run the state and then returns the excess to the people - equally - what is owed by the people of Alaska. This is the opposite of socialism which takes what is the people's and then apportions the wealth it as it sees fit to people who have neither ownership interest in the money nor who have contributed to the creation of the wealth. Palin's increase of the dividends that were earned by the people of Alaska was made possible by running the state with a smaller operating budget...not by raising taxes on people of on the oil companies. The very thing that you mock (the experience to efficiently run a state) is what makes her infinitely more qualified than Obama.
linda....I just cant believe you and all the republican responses....typical BS...nothing but smears, lies that have been repeated so many times....you probably really do believe them....
I actually heard Obama was from the planet Amabo... 275K light years from alpha centuri...and his mama was green....It has to be true....I read it on a repuzlican website...
1 citizen....1 vote Obama/Biden 08...uhhh....in case the republican coolaid has really damaged your mind....that's about 1 week from now....
#8.1 deleted, no value.
No, I already voted for him
Education, health care, jobs, pensions for all Americans, not just the billionaire republicans and their families. That's what President Obama and the new Democratic Congress will do.
Let me know how that goes for you in four years. Just remember to vote him out when none of his promises come to fruition.
Democrats=Republicans Republicans=Democrats
They're both controlled by the same weathly eite group of individuals.
Boy crazy eyes, you have a lot of faith in America...what are you doing here? Further, perhaps you should take some lessons on politics because your theory is extremely untrue...it couldn't be farther from the truth. This is why people like REPUBLICAN Colin Powell who is a long time close friend of McCain AND EXPERT in politics (who also gave McCain much financial support) is now endorsing Obama. Doesn't take a rocket scientist.
The Catholic Church tells us they don't endorse any president yet they have been telling us that the main issue in this election is abortion. I am pro-life and pro-choice...and anti-abortion...I don't believe in abortion but I won't push my beliefs on others. If a woman's life is in danger or she has been raped what right has anyone to tell her she needs to have the baby? It is between the woman, her doctor and her God! Repealing Roe vs. Wade is not going to improve the economy, it's not going to create jobs, it's not going to save the environment and it sure as hell won't end the war in Iraq!! Why is it okay to kill thousands of Americans and hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraquis...THOU SHALT NOT KILL...that applies to every human being. How many of you are willing to adopt a child that was born of a mother that can't take care of it or worse a mother that dies because she was forced to have the child?? I'm sick and tired of the so called 'Christians' who judge everyone else even though we are told to judge not lest ye be judged....let he who is without sin cast the first stone....I like that one, because there isn't a single person that would honestly be able to cast that stone.
BTW! I already voted for Obama and I'm glad I did :).
People want Hope and Obama is selling it with Change, and they are willing to put into a man and soon they may discover that no Man can deliver Hope to anyone. The Bible says man cannot live without Hope in His heart. But Hope only comes from an intimate relationship with Ones creator. I realize this is a political blog but this Hope that everyone is looking for is neither of the two guys running for office.
Hope is a commodity that Obama does not have to give. Hope is only found in Christ. I admit it is a useful tool of manipulation that he wheels with finesse. But he is deceived as well as the buyer of His Goods. The Blind lead the blind and both are falling into the ditch. If you are looking for true Hope don’t go looking for it in a candidate but look for it In Him Jesus Christ
Tonight we have seen a man who has a vision for America; a man who can unite rather than divide; a man who understands the suffering that the middle class is enduring and a man who can lead this country out of this hard times. For promise of hope and peace in the world I cannot imagine any rational individual will not vote for this man, our future President, Barack Obama.
Yea he really feels your pain, this guy has not worked a day in his life. Been employed by the taxpayers his whole life.....Been in bed with all the radical leftests/Socialists Another SAP......Wait to you feel his hand in your pocket......Oh by the way gun sales increased by 60%.

Dear Rpmranch,
"A wise and frugal government" ... a very wonderful idea!
Thomas Jefferson must be turning in his grave watching what has been going on with our country the last 8 years..
I bet you voted for C student George Bush... Hey, thanks for that!
I would think that republicans would be EMBARRESED of who they put into the white house for the last 8 years.. As you can read by the comments on this board.. you are outnumbered .... Thankkkkkkkk Godddddddd!!
America needs a intelligent and thoughtful leader.... the world needs America to have a intelligent and thoughtful leader...
The stupidity of the last 8 years has now affected the whole planet!
Obama will win and you and all of us will be the better for it....
You can thank the Democrats and Independents and Young People and all of the people that are just plain fed up with a C student running our country into the ground!
May love and light come into your life...
"Be the change you want to see in the world!"
Gandi
We were discussing it this morning.
The point is this. We are very close to election day. At this stage of the game, most people have already made up their mind who they want to be our next leader.
One thing we can all agree on. This is the most important election of our time. The results of this election will affect us, our children, and our grandchildren.
This is not the time to fight and argue, it is the time for the American people to pull together as a country.
The best thing all of us can do is to look at the issues and what each candidate will do for the American people. It is our responsibility to fact check accusations on either side through objective unbiased media, and make an educated decision on which candidate supports our view the best.
The worst thing that anyone can do is be complacent or be so disgusted by the tone of the campaign, we stay home instead of voting.
By this time next week, the decision will already be made. Between now and then there is no point in fighting amongst ourselves as most of us have already made up our mind and won't be convinced to change it.
When November 5th rolls around, the American people need to unite together for the good of the country, regardless of who wins. Being bitter about the results helps no one at all.
rmpranch, he has worked many days and hours FOR FREE in his life to help the people at large...beyond his JD in law. Most Americans cringe at the thought of helping others by working endlessly without expecting anything in return in this day and age...most expect payment one way or another and have no concept of the definition of "altruism"...his morals and values are strong. For anyone to trash on this level of commitment to community service, or that he treats all people as living breathing human beings, is disturbing that those like you are so blinded. McCain has once to mention the middle class...oh wait, he did, he referred to us hard working American middle class people (all 95% of us) as "welfare recipients." If you do not take that as an offense, you obviously cannot see how continuing to follow Bush's economic plan will not benefit any of us. Even economic experts have spoken on how Obama's plan will give 3 times more tax relief than McCain's...and like Obama said, "if you like the state of our country now, then vote for McCain."

We have in this country one of the most corrupt institutions the world has ever known. I refer to the Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Reserve Banks...They are, not government institutions. They are private monopolies which prey upon the people of these United States for the benefit of themselves and their foreign customers... - Senator Louis T. McFadden
Hmmmm sound familiar?...mcbushed again...
OMG...here's a good one...
The best yardstick of the effectiveness of the fight against Communism is the fury of the smear attacks against the fighter. - J. Edgar Hoover
mcbush has been attacking Obama since the campaign started....what does that tell you...
I believe there are more instances of the abridgment of freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachment of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations. - James Madison
Bush and his so called patriot act?
Here's a couple more....then I'll stop....to much truth can fry current republican's brains
Think what you do when you run into debt; you give to another power over your liberty. - Benjamin Franklin
"Those who give up essential liberties for temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." - Benjamin Franklin
"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home and leave us in peace. We seek not your council, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; and may posterity forget that ye were our country men." - Samuel Adams
"The tree of liberty must be watered periodically with the blood of tyrants and patriots alike. It is its natural manure." - Thomas Jefferson
Dear Whoknew, Interesting quote to end with from Thomas Jefferson, "The tree of liberty must be watered periodically with the blood of tryrants and patriots alike. It is its natural manue." But, unfortunantly for Americans....Obama has said"I will disarm them & take away their legal carry permits." We will not be able to defend ourselves at home or abroad. Certainly evil comes in many forms. Certainly evil walk among us. How will we be able to defend ourselves when Obama takes away our guns, like Hitler did the Jews. After he took away their guns, he took away their wealth & sent them to concentration camps.
Yes. Wasn`t he great or what!!! Obama can bring this country back together, at last. Put the people first (middle class)!!!!!
I need some of Whatever magic stuff you are smoking. The middle class first.. yeah right. You are so screwed and the sad thing is you still don't see it!
Linda - we *have* been screwed and yes we see it -- have you??
DevilsAdvocate....did you imply what I thought you just implied?....OMFG!.....hehehe good one...
I think Linda makes more than $250,000
Dear Lanny, I pray you are correct....but I just don't see it. Their is such a class difference, education difference, life experience differences, christian differences....if they have any. This country & our money is so far gone......CAN WE EVER RECOVER???

The following is a poem by Rudyard Kipling that we studied in grammer school. It was and remains to be one of the most inspirational poems of all times and very apropos for our current election:
[IF]
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:If you can dream--and not make dreams your master,
If you can think--and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings--nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much,
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son!--Rudyard Kipling
I was in church this morning when one passage came into my mind....when the rich young man asked Jesus how he could get into heaven, Jesus told him to sell everything he had and give the money to the poor....OMG!! Jesus was a socialist!!
In Alaska they don't pay any taxes yet the government (Gov. Palin) gives every man, woman and child a check for over $3,000, OMG!! Palin is a socialist (lol)
And on Larry King:
Larry King: You don't think Brack Obama is a socialist do you?
John McCain: No.
Who are you guys voting for? The candidate doesn't even support your views.
