lets not forget the 338.3 billion dollars we are spending to take care of all the "illegal" alliens that have come here to have a better life.  This is America and we speak English.  If you want to come here, do it legally and then get a job and earn your money like the majority of the rest of us. Learn the language.  If you want to come to America, then be an "American".  I did not vote for Obama, but he is President and we all need to support that. Let's unite and stop fighting amongst ourselves. That's exactly what the terrorists want, is to tear our country apart.  We are doing a pretty good job ourselves.

Sorry carolpdx....I afraid it's you that don't get it...the republicans have been in power for the last 8 yrs.....sorry to hear about your company laying off employees...but if you think for one minute it had anything to do with anything other than the failed bush economic policies, his cronies, and rampent greed of banks, and wall street...that was left UNCHECKED BY THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION....you are sadly mistaken....

It's ok to point the finger...and I don't care which finger you point as several that come to mind would be appropriate...however....make sure you're pointing at the right people....

I caution you about liquidating and moving out of this country....first of all...the US is STILL the greatest nation.....it has it's problems....but try typing the stuff you just did in ...oh...I don't know...china?...russia?....maybe the middle east somewhere?....

but...if you're that intent on going....who's to stop you right?.....and if you're really that intent....don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out....and thanks for playing at being an American....we have some parting gifts for you....

Spreading the wealth is just another way to say we need to take from those that have worked so hard for what we have and give it to the those that feel entitled and feel they are OWED and don't have to work for it.  AMERICA was built on freedom -   more and more programs is going to raise taxes and we're going to be slaves under OBAMA's administration.  No different than the direction Canada and the EU is in.  SCARY!!!!!  PLEASE don't raise taxes - listen to those that understand economic growth - leave the $'s in the sector that will create growth and create jobs!!!!!!

Barak Obama ran on the "CHANGE" slogan, even though  he never did say what exactly he would change, I certainly hope he will change all the lies and deceit in Washington, DC. Starting with what really happened with the financial melt down. He blames Bush and Wall Street Greed for it, when in fact it was Clinton and the Democrats fault.. It was Clinton and the DEMS that FORCED the banks to make loans to people that didnt qualify for loans and to the people that couldnt pay back those loans. It was the DEMOCRATS that blocked all attempts by the Republicans to PREVENT the collapse of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac way back in 2001, and the Democrats wont even tell the truth about that. It is amazing to me that Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barney Frank sit there and blame Bush and Wall Street Greed. What is even more amazing is that the citizens of the US won't admit it nor accept it. I would think before they blame anyone they would do their research, not take someone's word for it, but go to the Congressional Records (publicly available) and look it all up for themselves. They might be surprised, but could they actually admit it????

Obama's "spread the wealth" policy is what made him win the election. He BOUGHT all those votes. He bought the votes of the people that don';t want to work and want to be able to sit at home and collect a paycheck courtesy of those that do work hard. I would be thrilled to have a black man for president if it is the right man. I don't understand how someone who has never even so much as led a church choir and has never even balanced his own checkbook can be elected President. He can't even get a top secret security clearance. When I hear people say they are so happy that a black man is President, that tells me that they voted him because he is black. They did NOT say they are happy he is President because he is the best man for the job, or because has done so much, or accomplished so much, they say they are happy because he is black!  Barak Obama has actually shown up to work 142 days out of his 4 years as Senator and when he did show up to work he was consistently late. He did not keep his word about Public Financing for his campaign why would anyone think he would keep his word about any of his promises. He said he wants to work in a nonpartisan way and then offers the Chief of Staff position to one of only 2 senators more partisan than himself and more liberal than himself.  Did you know that Sen. Obama PAID the women on his campaign LESS than he paid the men. What does that tell you?

His FIRST order of business should be to tell the truth about everything he has been so secretive about during the election.

I forgot to mention that on Barak Obama's "Spread the Wealth" Policy, I find it interesting that he wont even spread the wealth to HIS OWN FAMILY. He has an aunt that is here illegally and lives in Public Assistance housing and he hasnt even spread his own personal wealth to his own family.  That is disgusting.

                      WHY DON'T YOU GET IT?

Spread the wealth does not mean taking it from the little guy or even the hard working family!

Spread the wealth means.....Not allowing corporate american executives to steal our hard earned dollars by producing products using cheap foreign labor.  Not allowing Monopolies to force us to pay their price, so that they keep getting richer.

                      Spread the wealth means:

Giving opportunities that we no longer have access to.

Corporate America and the rich are stealing from all of us and you are afraid of it.

                      National / Equal healthcare

                      Equal and available Education

Wake up america and smell the coffee.  Plan to be happier during the next 8 years instead of continuing to build your hatred.

                      Peace and helping each other!

What I find disgusting is that you are a sore loser who is already bashing Obama before he has even stepped foot in the White House.

Bush got the bashings from the media and public that he manifested himself with his poor decisions.

Obama is our new President so show a little respect and let's see what he can do for us.  You have not even given him a chance yet and you're already insulting him.

You sound like a sore loser.

Do you really want to go there to talk about everything McCain did and didn't do?  How about Palin?

Believe me, we got the lesser of two evils in the White House.  Now give the man a chance to put his ideas for change into action.  He's our leader now, so quit being negative (so GOP/Republican-ish) and pipe down until you see what he's made of.  You will not know for about a year.

Give the man a fighting chance to keep his promises and bring us on our feet again.  Nobody needs the constant negativity.

I know allot of people will totally disagree with me, But honestly that why we live in a free country.  But I think the first thing that the President should do is PRAY each and every day that what ever comes his way that he takes it to the LORDS hands.  I also think that the President should be guided by the Lord and step out in Faith and not worry about what other people think or the media.  But thats what I think and I am sorry if I had offended anyone.

its already rumored that Obama will name Rahm Emmanuel chief of staff job. Emmanuel's dad was a member of the Irgun, an Israeli zionist terrorist group in thee 1940's....

O Bomb A Nation.....sounds about right for all of the retards who elected him in. Just remember you get what you voted for. Sure we should vote in a man as president who says " I love this great country" but hasn't yet learned to put his hand over his heart in honor of the flag and to show respect for all who have given or still serving in our armed forces. Yeah...I'm an army mom with 2 kids mixed up in this crap. Or lets get a little deeper... " We need to stop illegal immigration"... but yet his own aunt has lived here for 4 yrs and is a illegal!!!  Makes sense! This is just like everyone who voted for Bush. Some of us actually can hear what is said and understand, while others have to be showen. So all of you who voted for obama are probably the same retards that voted for bush. Wake up and smell the coffee!! America should have a Commander and Cheif that has never served in our armed forces but yet now we have one...great!! I'll put my son's and daughter's military achievements up againist Obama any day of the week. Obama is a modern day robin hood so if any of you are waiter or waitress and you voted for Obama, then I am sure you don't mind when you serve me that I give your tip to the homeless person outside...right??!! After all this is what you wanted! A muslium in the white house... that is just disgusting.

For one thing I do have 2 kids in the military. And the other constitutional rights is also the freedom of speech. So shame on you.

Another shame on you is: as we all sit and speak..Obama is being investigate as to his citizenship and to the fact of being born in the country. He gave up his American citizenship to attend college in cuba. Also he has never served in any military regardless if it is for the US or another country.

If you want to talk about racism here is a note to you about me dummy...I was born abroad and have naturalization papers...casa blanca, africa. Military brat!!! It wasn't my mama on tv shooting off her mouth about how she doesn't care for this country. I am not the on dwelling on the past and reliving the history books like some of the people around here are. Slavery has been over for along time and still we hear alot of people yelling about it. I think that wrong had been righted when we (whites) fought for their freedom but still they call us racist?

I believe improving foriegn affairs is so critical to our country.  Reason:-Just because we are a strong country doesn't mean we are powerful to win over the rest of the world.  Are we strong enough to fight against terriorist by ourselves?  In the business world, can we survive just producing products. produce, weapons, etc in our own country with out the support of other countries?  Are we going to complain about high oil prices which will set a chain of reactions to many other issues if we are cut off buying from other countries because of improving foriegn affairs?  Can we stand alone if world war III unexpectedly should arise?  Are we going to continue to cry like little babies about our problems in our back yard when we manipulate the laws to suit the hand with the power so the victims is squashed?  Is there enough justice in our country to correct the problems we have right on our streets with out being diverted to an a hidden crime which is worst than an open crime?  I see so many violations and we don't even try to make an attempt to correct the problem.  We let if go because we are in a comfort zone and don't want to be bother.  If we, the people don't  care about bettering our homeland future for our children then we need foriegn countries to give us a helping hand to protect our country while we goof off and enjoy our freedom and forget what our military was fighting for, for many years.  Who made sacrifices.  Who gave their life for ours.  Who gave us freedom and made our country what it is today.  Who gave us the right to continue to fight for our freedom so our country will be a great nation not by itself but with other countries who will give us support when needed.  I believe communist has their nuclear missles facing towards our country and has been there for quite a while.  If our justice system will continue to show lack of interest in their profession/manipulating the law and risk our homeland then why fight?  Lets just hand it over to communist to control us because the terriorist will come again.  We cannot just say the words but put action behind it.  We produce our own problems at home and we don't correct it.  We deserve what we have today.  We abuse our freedom to step on the weak and ignore what cost it took to get this far in our country.

O Bomb A Nation....title of the his book, right??

First thing he should do: Let's think... I know!!

                                                1) Obama said " I love this great country" - Then he should learn to salute our nations flag in honor and respect for all of those men and women we have lost or who are still serving our great nation.

                                                2) Obama should get registered with selective services and actually serve this great nation in the military. Something he forgot to do. Sorry I forgot he's not from around here.

                                                3) Obama should deport his aunt who has lived here for 4 years and is not here legally.

                                                4) Obama-a modern day robin hood. How about he works the next 4 years for 10.00 an hour or better yet... make congress work and live like the rest of us hard working americans! Instead of having their own retirement plans and large wages! Have congress live by the rules like everybody else. And if any of you who voted for obama get tips..trust me.. I won't be tipping you but instead giving it to the homeless person outside...obama's rule. So who cares if you make only 2.00 an hour and your tips are part of you wages...I suggest get a better job that pays more.

                                                5) Obama needs to cut military spending! Sure why not. Our military troops don't have families to support. America doen't need to defend our freedom. Most of all...My son and daughter does not need to lose their lives for people like you. You go and defend this country for free...cause your not getting modern technology or paid to do so. After all there is a reason American Soldiers are the only people to salute in the victory position.

Yeah...I'm an army mom. I have been reading all of the comments on this board. All you people are worried about is a political party. Wrong reason to vote. I am a democrate and voted republican. But then I can hear what someone says and understand it. Voters for obama are the same retards that voted for bush not once but both times.  So congratulations on getting what you wanted. So in 4 years don't cry that you all were wrong! You all wanted an african-american for president so don't complain when he paints the white house a different color, or when the prisoners are served turnip greens, or when the rose garden at the white house is now a watermelon patch. Obama says he wants to pave the way for his daughters to become president but yet his VP is a man....double standard?? The only thing I am regeatful for is now all of the african-americans in the US can't play the race card...but I can. Should be alot of fun!! I just can't believe how many stupid americans are!! We are fighting terrorism/muslium and now we have a Commander and Chief who is one...great!

Get off your high racist horse and come back down to earth, lady.

For the record, I'm not one of the "retards" (impressive word there, ma'am) that voted for Bush 2x.  I never voted for him.  I just got stuck with him.

As far as voting for Obama because he was african-american, you're so ignorant.  I personally voted for him because he's the better man for the job, with a better VP.

You sound very bitter & redneck.  ignorant.

As far as painting the white house a different color?  Nah.  I think Obama likes white.  His mom was half white.  I know lots of black folks that live in white houses too...

                                                  You're very insulting to african-americans.

p.s. have you ever tried watermelon?  fried chicken?  collard greens?

Again, get off your soapbox about how change is bad.  This one is well-needed and he is a highly intelligent man with the tolerance and fortitude to deal with retards like YOU!

He can't fix the economy because he doesn't have a clue. The only way he thinks he can fix the war in Iraq is surrender tuck his tail between legs and hide. Really the only thing good he can do is talk. He has done alot of that since he became a senator. He sure didn't do anything for IL. Maybe he should just resign before its to late.

We can no more win in Iraq than we could have won in Vietnam. When the Iraqis decide, as a country that was made up by colonial powers, to move beyond their religio-tribal groups and build a nation, there might be a peace. It really isn't our business to install one over the other two major minorities in their country that may function better as three or more federated states. The intervention by war was the stupidest thing America has ever done. The tribalism, gangsters, and religious nut will keep peace a distant hope for many more years. We cannot be the judge and executioner for Iraq any longer than to get our troops and equipment out.

I don't care who got elected in 2000 they would have to do the same thing. Its easy to sit back now and say what we should have done and point fingers. Hind sight is 20/20.

You're right, jclkb.  He doesn't have a clue.  This morning he'll get his first taste of reality when he see the intelligence report.  I'm betting that suddenly, this job won't look like such a cake walk to him anymore.   It was interesting to listen to CBS White House Correspondent Peter Mayer this morning as he was interviewed by a local radio station this morning; he commented that Sarah Palin's 18 mos as governor were more executive experience than Barack Obama's 4 years in the senate offered--most of those four years spent preparing for this presidential run.  Yea--we already knew that...but...

I predict he's going to learn real fast that he can NOT charm the world and keep America safe at the same time.  I predict that once the house, senate and White House are all the same majority--they'll have no one but themselves to blame when things don't improve or (shivers) get worse and they'll start to turn on each other. Nancy Pelosi's and Harry Reid's only accomplishments thus far are to have been a thorn in the White House's side. It will be interesting to see how this plays out come Jan 20. I believe this will be good for 2010--when more congressional and senatorial seats are up for grabs.

Meanwhile--the best advise I've heard so far is to PRAY--pray for Obama to have wisdom, to see what's right and do the right thing.  And God help all of us if he doesn't.

Bush has managed to screw all of us. All Iraq is, is a finish to what bush sr. started. A waste of time and money not to say anything about our nations young men and women losing their lives.

Obama will pull out our troops but not all at once. Our economy could not afford that we have to much over their to bring home. And lets face it there are no jobs here for them to do. It would flood the work force and from what the news people say they are laying off works now. American express in arizona is laying off 7,000 workers in jan. 2009. Sad, very sad.

I do agree with we have to take care of our own problems here at home first and not worry about other countries. So does that mean we have to say ....NO?? I think we should help them but they need to pay for our services...lol... not sure how they are going to do that.

Bush sucks as president and should be ashamed of himself but on the other hand made alot of money. Now we have to pay the bill...not fair!! Bush caused this and allowed this so let him and his oil friends pay the nations bill and the bill for the iraq spending!!

                                                                  (1) Kick Bush and Cheney out

If he does this, the economy will fix itself during his 1st term in office....

When it comes down to the citizens of our country having to choose between food and medicine.... citizens who worked their whole lives here and never got a handout.... citizens who came in through the boat on Ellis Island and never had a penny for a handout.... to be in this position now... it's sickening to see these same people who gave their all for our country, including serving in WWII, I might add, getting ripped off up and down by our insurance and pharmaceutical companies.

you're damn right we need national healthcare.

Man, people will resort to low proportions when they're sore losers.

Obama had nothing to do with the downward spiraling of the stock market.  Now he's elected in and we should make him resign because of our current stock market situation.

The folks who put us in this situation are already being voted out by January 20th.

                                                                        Hello !

If you're going to take welfare, I say every morning (five days a weeks) that you have to show up at 8am and work a 8 hour day (at least). If you don't show up, you get docked that day's amount from your check. Sweep streets, pick up trash, mow grass, DO SOMETHING!! besides getting a free ride. After just a short time of working for their welfare check, hopefully they would be motivated to get a "real" job.

If we get all these people off their butts then the illegals will have to go home because there will be so many people doing all jobs that there will be none left for them.

These small steps would fix welfare and illegal immigration - definately a step in the right direction.
