This year the game was much better than the commercials. The commercials were the worst in years.

I thought the commercials sucked this year. I understand the economy is crap; most of the commercials were really bad.

Since neither are my Team, (Denver fan), I tuned in mainly to watch the commercials...

secretly, I've got a bit of "old school" in me and hoping the reborn "Steel Curtain" carries the day....

Have to admit, no "heart tuggers" yet in the commerical dept......

The "Curtain" seems to be holding firm :)

The madison commercial was low class and particularly offensive. That is an example of a prime time commercial? What is next Hugo Chavez offering direct line to the illegal drug of choice? Osama Bin laden offering a deal through a web site? It is absolutely rediculous.

They always come up with at least one decent one.

While the "fetch" was cutesy, I think the "Grandad" was the best.

As for the game, the "Steel Curtain", became pretty much an awning, but the offense pulled it out in the end.

                        Pretty decent game after all.

To bad the majority of the commercials were rather lackluster or worse.

I am very disappointed in the coverage of the Super Bowl; The sound is horrible and no one can understand the announcers. I have spoken to cable and rabbit ear viewers and they all have the same poor sound reception.

However, I did not mind the poor sound reception before I muted the Hudson singing her version of the "star Spangled Banner' Why can't the NFL get someone who can read sheet music and sing the Anthem correctly?

No, FOX Sports would do better on football coverage

The commercials are better than the game only because your coverage of the game is terrible! Someone is holding open the crowd microphone and the game noise is drowning out the commentary. Weak as the michaels/madden combo are on a game they sure don't need to be shouting over the crowd noise. The idea of there being a sense of being there sure doesn't work on the television. Don't you guys have anyone actually watching what is being broadcast?

The teleflora commercial was wildly offensive and belittling to women.  What were they thinking?  Fire the ad men who thought lines like "you don't look naked" said to a woman from a box of sinister flowers was a good idea.  Teleflora -- FIRE YOUR AD AGENCY.

I'd rather play sports than watch and NBC made it so easy to avoid the game altogether. When a station relies on flooding the viewers with advertisements the game is no longer the centerpiece of the event. Advertising is the bane of the modern world. It continues to produce stupid people who as conditioned sheep can think no deeper than what to buy next. And while the rich continue to profit from this practice we all pay the price of a society conditioned into ignorance.

I seriously think Sarah needs to lighten up...the whole idea of the teleflora as was that you don't want impersonal boxed flowers conveying a bad message....well, I'm thinking the "naked" line would probably be something that would be a considered a bad message.

Take a deep breath and repeat after me: "I am going to laugh at things that are funny. I will not be offended at things that are obviously meant to be a joke. Most of all I will lighten up!"

Oh, about the game.... wish the Cards would have won but what a game.

I would have said the commercials were what I tuned in for until the last 3 minutes or so of the game. What a finish. Very exciting football!

To the guy earlier who couldn't hear the announcers over the crowd noise. They sounded great to me. I'm using Dolby 5.1. Michaels and Madden are in the center channel. Maybe that guy was missing his center speaker, or didn't have the surround sound set up correctly on his receiver or on his TV. He needs to call the Geek Squad instead of complaining about NBC.

I feel overall the production values of this telecast have been very good, continuing the standard of excellence NBC Sports set with the Olympics in August.

In fact, based on their commerical, I would not own an Audi if it was the only car available. Really bad. Why show 20,000 pictures a minute - are you ashamed of your product?

I only watch, even look at the Super Bowl to see the commercials. Some years they have a lot and some years not any. This year was mediocre. However, my favorite this year has to have been the Sobe Lizard Lake dance routine. You just can`t get around three football players willing to be seen dancing like that. Second was the Budweiser Horse fetching the tree branch.
