It would have been if people cared about the teams that were playing.

Stupid calls. "Tuck Rule" anybody??? If it worked for Brady it should have worked now. Anticlimactic ending.

It was a good game and the media tried to hype it up as much as they could... it wasn't a Joe Montana last min drive or 2002 Patriots win.

The Patriot's win in 2002 was the greatest Super Bowl of all time (this one wasn't even close).

It was an awesome game!  As Cardinals fan, we were grateful to finally be recognized as a great team.  We never dreamed to get this far and for the game to be a nail-biter says the teams were an even match.  Congrats to the Steelers for the win -- it wasn't given to them -- they earned it.  Perhaps the Cardinals will have the confidence to come back and win it next time.  Larry Fitzgerald is a superstar.   Best halftime ever.  The Boss still has it and once again proves no generation can equal the Boomers when it comes music!

Jan in AZ - You are a class act - I am a Steeler fan - your Cards showed up and played well and have a lot of good to build on. Your #90 is a stud on the D-line.

The problem with big games today is instant replay - do the refs always get it right - NO - do they call it as they see it - I really hope so - the game is so fast and until the rules are changed so that instant replay replaces the refs, and a game lasts 10 hours, we will always have fans and teams who think the refs hosed them.

                            Good effort by BOTH teams

Not even close to the best but it was a good game. I have to say it though...NO superbowl coach should ever have to challange two bad to get them overturned in a game of this magnitude, period, As for the rest of the calls, you be the judge.

This game was essentially a replay of the Super Bowl 3 years ago, when the referees gave the game to the "Stealers" over the Seahawks, although this game was much more exciting. I saw Pittsburgh players holding time and again on the final drive, but not one holding penalty was called. Also, James Harrison's assault on the Cardinal player was a disgrace to his team and the game. I would also like to say something about the halftime show. Springsteen and his band did a great job on "Born To Run", but the other 3 songs sucked the big one. And why was "the Boss" trying to hump the microphone stand? I thought Patty was supposed to take care of things like that.

It was an entertaining SB, but I have to agree with some of the other commentors here, the refs were bad. The refs called a bad game, but not to worry, Goodell will back them as he has already said that the officiating this year has been good or better than some past years....Lenscrafters is open late, Roger. Best SB ever? No, not even close. I can name at least 3 others that were better, and I am a Giants fan, those SB's were just from my team. First, name me the teams that have beaten teams with an 18-0 record? If my memory is correct, the Steelers were the favorites this year, and by all accounts, should have throttled the Cards, but barely won. So, no underdog upset here. The INT for a TD was just as much Warners fault as Harrison being in the right place. Great paly, mind you, but no Tyree catch. But, hey, it's flattering that everyone wants to be the Giants of '07...that should indicate the best SB ever.

No, even though I'm a Steeler fan, I'm starting to get the feeling these games are fixed. If the wrong team looks like it's getting too close to winning, the referees are there to make sure the momemtum is stopped. Then there's the old yeah you made it to the big game, but you lost so you're nothing. I think I'll go watch high school foot ball from now on. The media hasn't turned that into a circus yet.

Quite a game. I believe the calls were fair, with the exception of the "roughing the passer" penalty called on the Cards. That was a bit of a stretch; however, the last second pushing motion of the defender seemed to be somewhat unnecessary and that extra zip most likely got the call. The biggest non-call, and nobody has mentioned it, was the fact that Fitzgerald came back inbounds from out of bounds to make that nice (but too late) tackle on Harrison. Speaking of Harrison, the fisticuffs were uncalled for; however, he could not do damage to the defender due to all the padding. No player just decides to assault the other guy; it was more like "sending a message". I will bet if the tape from seconds before were run, something might be seen. It appears to have been triggered by something, perhaps being held the whole game or perhaps the chop block committed on him that could have ruined his career. Other thoughts - Santonio was most definitely "in"; Warner and Fitzgerald are classy men; if the Cards had won, they would have deserved it; the Steelers won, and they too deserved it.

There's nothing illegal about going out of bounds and then returning in-bounds to make a tackle, A-hole fan. As far as the chop block call, it was pure rubbish. You should read the rule book before making such ignorant statements.

Fourth quarter was memorable otherwise the game would be pretty forgettable. I think if the Cards could have held on it might have exceeded last year's SB finish. Pittsburgh earned this SB, unlike their last one that was handed to them by the officials.

The last drive reminded me of Elway. Non calls on both sides of the ball. Gandy throttled Harrison nearly every play. Great game! I think most of the sour grapes bloggers here are or should be in congress. They sure act like they do!

Total bunch of sour grapes. And it is not becoming of any of you. I think you all are extremely jealous of the Steelers because they've beat you all many times over the years. The Steelers had the toughest schedule in all of the NFL this year and still made it to the Super Bowl. Arizona would have been watching from home if they had played the schedule this year that the Steelers did. I think Fitzgerald is an unbelieveable player and one we will be watching for years to come. Do you all remember that he played for the University of PITTSBURGH? And all of you that claim the refs called the game for the Steelers, didn't you see all of the holding calls by Arizona that the refs DIDN'T call? Get over it. It was a great game and the best team one. Quit acting like a bunch of babies crying over spilled milk.
