Rangers vs. Devils @ The Rock full of Rangers fans chanting "Devil's Suck", it takes a toll on the players playing another "road" game.
if you ever attended a game at cameron indoor stadium with the cameron crazies in attendance this question is a "DUH"!!!! EVEN ROY BOY SAYS DUKE HAS THE CLEVEREST FANS IN COLLEGE BB. BIG GAME SUNDAY----GO TRUE BLUE!!!!!!
Basketball!
Hockey moves too fast for fans to really disrupt the game, plus they are enclosed in glass.
Baseball, the opposite is true, the game can be slowed down to disrupt the fans, plus baseball teams rarely win more than 60% of their games in a year anyways.
Football: The home team does get a boost, but that boost and distraction is nothing like it is basketball.
I’ve been to some big games in football, basketball and baseball and nothing comes close to my memories of big basketball games.
My favorite spot is the PIT in Albuquerque with both the men’s and women’s team!
Only in Baseball does the field change so much and can the home team actually groom the field to their advantage, of course being from Denver I think it doesn't matter which sport you are playing it's always better to home in Denver and watch the other team start sucking wind in the 4th quarter, 3rd period or late innings
Baseball,
Only in baseball can you play 81 games in 1 season in your own ballpark. In the other sports the playing fields are the same size with the same dimensions. Some baseball fields are much larger than others. Some fields are indoors while others are outdoors. Some fields have astroturf while others have natural grass. The weather and the wind can play a factor in how the ball carries.
basketball hands down!!!
In basketball and the reason being you have a great warm time sitting in those stands enclosed jumping and shouting for your team. Football is a bit different because it is cold and lots of time to make touchdown for basketball it only takes a second to put that ball in that basket.
The travel takes its toll most in basketball. Visiting baseball teams stay in a new town for 3-4 days at a time to play a game a day. Football teams travel over 3-4 days to play one game. Basketball teams are always in a new town every night for the most part. There are fewer players on the basketball team as a whole. It takes one player down by the trip to disrupt the whole team scheme.
Baseball! How many close games are won in the bottom of the ninth?
clearly Basketball. UNC Killed dOOK partly because UNC has the greatest fans in the world. 2 for 2 versus dOOK this year. we even won at Hansbrough Indoor Stadium.
The Palestra
Basketball, especially in Utah. It don't matter whether it's the Energy Solutions Arena, Delta Center, or the old Salt Palace, the fans are just LOUD and enthusiastic and close to the action. I don't envy any visiting teams that come to play the Jazz at home. High altitude is another factor that bothers some teams, especially those that play near sea level.
Old Cleveland Stadium when the broncos and browns played in the 1986 AFC championship game that place was rocking.
Once again, N.C. and Duke play their first round NCAA BB games in their own backyard. Only one of the six Big-12 teams in the tournament played in Big-12 territory. Maybe that should be factored in to the Duke win over Texas.

In Basketball, the fans are closest to the action and are able to disrupt the opposing team faster with a noise level.
