Angel Cabrera's playoff win

A win is a win. The rest is distraction and sour grapes.

Kudos to Angel for gutting out a green jacket but sadly for him the true theater yesterday was the Tiger-Phil duel and how they came up oh

Phil's mis@!$%# on 12 and bad putts on 15 and 17 lost him the green coat. Otherwise, what a round!

World Baseball Classic, Masters, Wall Street. It is time to stop going to these sports events. Americans sports heroes and Wall Street are making too much money to care about winning or make a good showing. Chad Campbell and all the other golfers choked because they never have to really try. Make good money finishing 19th. Baseball players could care less about winning World Classic, if I get hurt I won't get a good contract next year. Wall Street could lose your money and still want a bonus. Oh by the way, Thank God for sending his son to die on Cross. Happy Easter.

And your ignorance is showing by using the phrase "...could care less". The correct phrase is "...could NOT care less"!

Gives us an opportunity to forget how deep a hole the government and the war has got us into.

Bobby, what a ignorant comment. Is there such a thing as an athlete playing for the love of the game? Why did Angel win then? Did he not care to win too? It's time to grow up and quit writing silly posts to draw attention.

Angel Cabrera found himself behind a tree on Playoff Hole #1, but he didn't give up. He took the best shot he could, and that hit another tree before ricocheting onto the fairway. He got his par, then won on the Playoff Hole #2. That was a great lesson for every duffer like me, who often finds himself in places on the golf course where he'd rather not be. Great inspiration . . .

The big story is a great win for a very determined player. While Phil killed his chances with an ill-advised iron shot trying to "stick it close" and Tiger lacked consistancy, falling short falls short compared with the action at the top of the board. Angel showed us how a determined player plays while Kenny proved that character is more than a swing the holds up under pressure-it is the awesome grace and dignity he displayed when it didn't. This is as great of a win and a great story that validates our love for golf and sports in general.

The top story should always be whoever won the tournament, not the battle for eighth place.
