I have the pleasure of knowing the original "Betty"...the dream girl next door who was the inspiration for the character. If Archie (or Arch) doesn't pick Betty, well, he just does't deserve her. I think Daddy Lodge should send his girl to Wall Street..

Been a huge Archie comic fan for 45 years now. Love the comic, was always the best gift in my christmas sock when I was a little girl. Hope Archie marries Betty, she's the best for him.

#6 - Wed May 20, 2009 7:47 PM EDTVeronica hands down. Shouldn't have to be asked or this voting shouldn't even exist. If you've read the comics and compare both, you will see Veronica outweighs Betty in every category. Read up on it.

First of all, Veronica's only reason for having Archie all these years and going after him in the first place, is so Betty can't have him. (Ever know a woman who doesn't want the man she's with, but at the same time "I don't want you to have him either!?"
Betty on the other hand, wouldn't do that type of thing. She is the "typical girl next door" and I believe that a boy like Archie and she actually are more fitting for each other.

You are right blonds may have more fun but think of more fun you can have with money,I think Archie would be a Jughead to pick Betty.So Archie should pick Veronica.
I've had bad luck with the girl next door type. Next time, I'm going for someone like Veronica. Archie, wise up!

She is everything in a woman that any man could ever wish for, definitely wife material. She has brains,looks,kindness,endurance (she never gave up on archie) and an extreme love that could stand the test of time for archie. She would also make the perfect mother. When it all comes down to it money and looks dont last but brains and love does. If archie picks Veronica everybody will be extremely disappointed with Michael Uslan . Also Jughead should be best Man. The only way I can see them coming to a final decision though unfortunately is if Betty or Veronica dies that way its offical and no turning backs or what ifs.

I find it disheartning to hear they are changing things so drastically. Its always been a love triangle and if they take that away (along with the high school setting).....it won't be the Archie comics I have always known. (since the mid 70s) IMO, I think they should keep things the way they are. Don't make this Archie on Melrose Place (with him being grown up now)
Remember when they wanted to change the look of Bugs Bunny? The backlash was major on that and they didn't go with the "modern" look after all. I hope whoever made the decisions to change the Archie/Betty/Veronica storyline realizes its not such a great idea!
If Archie and the gang grow up then I have to too! Let's keep them in high school! But if Archie has to get engaged AND married, then let it be Betty. Veronica is just too ... too!
I've always liked both Betty and Veronica, but in a choice between compassion and money, I'd choose compassion. Betty's been "true and down to earth," as Viva-412118 said. Let Archie and Betty find happiness together.
Veronia shouldn't just get dumped though; she should get married to someone who likes her and who she likes in the same issue.

#20 - Wed May 20, 2009 8:18 PM EDTI agree with that:) archie is always broke which is perfect for veronica.. and betty is a great cook which is perfect for juggie.. also both juggie and betty are nice and even if juggie eats alot and isnt really interested in girls he could grow attached to betty because she is understanding and doesnt jusge jughead that he eats alot, and she is nice so she doesn require to be pampered alot like V and jughead doesnt really pamper so its perfect..
I love Betty but I hate how all of these years Archie strung Betty along and hurt her to go out with V. I think that he should be stuck with V and Betty should move on to the person that has always stood by her. JUGHEAD x3
