Proficiency in IRL, but only 1 win, does not bode well for a step up to the big league. Montoya is twice the driver and he's struggling.

At Watkins Glen, in the 80's, they didn't race "stock cars" because they were considered the bottom feeders of motor racing. Still are.

Absolutely! She'd bring in a strong female fan base and be perennial "filly amongst the colts"! Great for Danica, Superb for NASCAR

I'd love to see her in NASCAR. IMO this series has grown stale, with the Hendrix cars winning 18 straight titles. It would add interest.

She's not shown an ability to win with a top team in IRL (her lone win coming from a fuel conservation strategy), win there first.

Danica needs to be a consistent winner first. But then, she got an IRL ride without winning anything but kart races.

She needs more wins in IRL, to bolster her cv for a nascar switch. She is great

She has nothing to lose and much to gain. Perhaps a Microsoft or Yahoo endorsement if she were to jump?

Patrick is a bimbette who should stick to beaches and bikinis. Cover a real race driver like Sarah Fisher if you want me to pay attention to the women drivers.

She's not even talking about going to nascar. She not interested, is she? She's not talking about it, is she? No, just everybody facing a slow business day. I haven't heard a word from her. For all the reasons you said. I'm sure the bimbette is smart enough to know this much without it being spelled out for her here. Do your thing, baby!

it seems like she is a spoiled kid who is never happy. She needs to COMMIT to something besides temper tantrums and a high ego. I would like to see her as a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader for a whiile.

Danica is a "B" class driver. She can drive but doesn't show the ambition or the skill necessary to win. Look at Sam Hornish, Franchitti and Montoya - they were the cream of IRL and they struggled in Nascar. She needs to stop being a "pretty girl" and commit to racing like Sarah Fisher, Janet Guthrie and Shirley Muldowney. She may make huge dollars in the first year, but her followers will get tired of her last placed finishers. Unless she commits to racing - the only reputation is going to be the money hungry sleaze selling herself.

Danica needs to stay in IRL. She is a "B-" class driver with no ambition and skill except for selling herself like a prostitute. Leave the racing to the true women drivers, Sarah Fisher, Janet Guthrie and Shirley Muldowny. What makes her think she can succeed in NASCAR when Montoya, Hornish, Franchitti, Fittipaldi and others have struggled. She is a snot nosed brat who throws temper tanrums when she doesn't get her way instead of trying to improve her driving skills.

Sure, why not - let Danica take her sideshow and drawing power to NASCAR, where the cult of personality of the drivers is more developed. She'd fit right in with all the whining and crying that goes on. She's a distraction in the IRL, a driver with journey(wo)man talent. And, IMO, incredibly overrated in the looks department.

I used to go to races at Watkins Glen in the 70's and 80's. That was under the old track management, and they didn't permit "stock car" races. Stock car drivers were considered to be the bottom feeders of motor racing. Given their behavior in recent years, I'd have to say that not too much has changed in that respect. Who in their right mind want to "put someone into the wall" at 150+ mph.

Dani has class and she'd be best served sticking with open wheel racing.

Maybe a part time ride in a truck or a nationwide car to get a feel for stock car racing. But I really would like to see her stick to what she loves and not jump from thing to thing.

Hardly anyone in the US (except a few aging Izod wearing preppies) watch F1 at all (check the ratings you snob types, remember Indy doesn't count). It's a money/celebrity deal, and there isn't much of that in the US outside of NASCAR. Danica has what it takes.... to pick up humongus $$ running in NASCAR. It's all about money, just like for the college athletes turning pro. Danica, take the jump and get your bucks! Besides I need a favorite driver since Rusty retired.

Driving IRL or F1 cars is an exact science compared to NASCAR, just look at the speed difference, up to 25 MPH faster at any track than the heavy metal can go. Too bad NASCAR has done better marketing and sucked most of the air (money) out of US auto racing fans. While Danica's talent might not do any better than Sam Hornish in NASCAR...she would be a plus and make more money, but would otherwise be a waste of her gifted talents. Tough call. Hope she wins at Indy before jumping over the fence.

Danica hasnt won an IRL race in the United States since she entered racing. Danica always finishes 5th, 6th,7th or worse. If her car gets hit her first insticnt is to jump out of it and walk down pit road looking for someone to blame. Lets face it, Danica doesnt have what it takes to pass in the IRL races. In NASCAR racing she would get run over and get herself killed. What is she going to do in NASCAR, she cant wine because those good of boys will put her in the wall. The only place for Danica is on the hood of a car or on the top of a motorcycle in a bikini with Go Daddy.Com written on the bottoms. The top isnt large enough. When Michael Andretti dumps her she wont have a ride unless it is at Universal Studios or Disneyland.......
