I think a guy named ORR would have something to say about that. has lindstrom led the league in scoring While still playing GREAT defense? didn't think so.

crysby if FAR from the perfect NHL player. it is sickening the way the NHL & NBC are trying to cram this guy down our throats as the face of the game, absolutely sickening. he is a premadonna and a crybaby. i noticed that NBC didn't happen to show the tape of Crysby's good sportmans ship after losing game one last nite to detroit. the wings were in line to give congrats to Chris Osgood for another great performance, and the incomparable Crysby skates along side of the wings players, and semi-slashes Kirk Maltby with his stick on the shins as he passed by. what the heck is that all about, real classy...and what a sports man!!! i certainly hope one of the wings returns the favor to Crysby tonite in game two with a little "Kromwalling" - a fitting answer to his child like behavior!

Really? Does starting fight with McLean , and punching people in the groin while being held down by another player also count for good sportsmanship? Crosby is a punk, and far from the Ultimate Hockey Player.

Not only does Cindy Crosby suck, but Pierre from NBC sucks too. When Pierre says, "your team is not in trouble until you lose a game on your home ice" and none of his colleagues agree with him nor support his comment with similar comments of their own, it shows that the colleagues know that Pierre sucks as well. What a dick. I'm done watching NHL on NBC. If Cindy Crosby stops quickly he is going to have to go to the emergency room in order for the doctors to remove Pierre's nose from Cindy's azz.

Pierre McGuire should be taken off the Stanley cup Finals broadcast team. His stupid comment about a team not being in trouble 'till they lose a game at home, left his broadcast team speehless. His biased fawning over Pittsburgh, Malkin, and Crosby is unprofessional. His support of Malkin's instigator fight penalty is another example of his stupidity, the "emotion" Malkin was showing was frustration at being down 2 games to zip; Malkin's reaction to Zetterberg pushing Talbot away from Osgood after Talbot speared Osgood, had nothing to do with "sending a message to his team"; another stupid comment by someone who should be getting a paycheck from the Pittsburgh Penguins, not NBC.

I heard that Pierre was found after the last game in a parking lot with Malkin and Crosby, suppossedly he was so excited that he blew a $3.00 hawian wonder cooler all over the parking lot!!

NBC sucks as bad as VS.

                          Go Wings!!

Man, just like in person, all you Redwing fans are just bitter and poor sports. I am a Pens fan, but I actually voted for Ovechkin in this pole....and I can't stand him. What a cockey arrogant punk. But he is a fantastic player. You guys are so freakin angry and just spewing with hatred. Get a life. If you were true hockey fans, you would realize that the NHL is getting a great facelift from guys like Ovechkin, Crosby, Malkin, and yes, a lot of the players from Detroit (namely Datsyuk, Zetterberg, and a up and coming apparent super star named Helm). Enjoy the game for once. Without these other players, there is no NHL.

                            Go Pens in 7!

Will NBC pulease find better announcers? Jeez, all we heard from every game was Pengie this and Pengie that. You're supposed to be announcing the game. Nobody really cares about your "OPINION" and we all know, like a certain orifice on the body everybody has one. The way some of the Pengies played and acted looked like they learned from the Lemieux book of bad sportsmanship. If I wanted to watch youngsters fight, I'll turn on the station with the cage fighting.

I am a newbie hockey game fan and it's because of the Red Wings that I even watch hockey. But between Fox Sports (another blowhard network) and NBC Sports, the lovefest and fawning over the Pengies was just ridiculous. Have these announcers even played any hockey? You hear the same thing when the Pistons play and other teams from Detroit. Frankly I wanted the Red Wings to win just so those stupid announcers could be rendered speechless since they can't seem to think of anything good to say about Detroit. They come up with the dumbest comments! (Please see previous comments above). I thought Ozzie did a great job with saves. What about all the dang penalties that should have been called in some of those games (mainly in the Pittsburgh home games but even tonite's game).

The fans aren't stupid you bozos. We know you're trying to stoke the ratings by creating some kind of "controversy" so more people will watch NHL. Next time I'll turn on the dang radio to listen to playoffs that our REd Wings will be again next year so you better find new announcers that don't play favorites and do their job (you know==announcing!!) HEY, why don't you ask Stevie Izerman? Bet he'd be a much classier and professional act. See you next year in the playoffs! LET'S GO RED WINGS!!!!

If one of the categories was "biggest whiner" I'd have picked Crosby instead of Ovie.

This is why the NHL is 5th among the top 4 north American sports. It is all about Cindy Crosby and the Red Wings. An over hyped player and the evil empire of hockey get shoved down our throats.

Real hockey fans do not respect either of these teams as there are many great players in this league who are way better than any of these guys mentioned. So many great young stars in the league and Cindy Crosby is the best? wow, that doesn't say much for your league.

I agree with the above posts about Pierre McGuire... get rid of him NBC and your hockey ratings will likely double. That guy is not respected around the league at all.

They need to chance the letters N-H-L to SCL(sidney crosby league) or BWL (band wagon league) since people who like cindy, pittsburgh, and/or detroit obviously don't follow hockey... they just do what they are told and like the teams that get the right calls and win recently.

Jeremy Roenick (in his prime). Chris Chelios (in his prime). There have been so many great players throughout the years. You can't name just one.
