Was Al Roker too tough on reality stars Spencer and Heidi Pratt?

Al is a professional and they should be too, however they arent, apparently. Al just asked questions that people wanted answers for. What were they expecting anyway! I believe they really just need to grow up and if they want to stay in the limelight then they need to deal with the consequences maturely.

They open themselves up to 'celebrity' yet expect to be handled with kid gloves when they are avoiding an answer to a question. They act like a couple of arrogant three year olds that never have had any boundaries.....Please make Speidi go away.

Al should stick to the weather....he is not a smooth interviewer. Sometimes his questions just don't make sense. Nice guy, but weather is his gig not interviewing!

Al Roker should be interviewing the bankers, politicians, auto executives, etc. "Are you proud of this?" Good question. Nail them, Al!

No AL WAS NOT TOO HARD! They are spoiled little children! I mean c'mon if you have ever watching an episode of the hills they don't really work, they drive BMW's and Mercedes that no 21 year old should have...wear labels that the majority of people cannot afford. AND FOR WHAT? some semi-reality show that is popular with TEENS!? Spencer is such a showman...there is no way he is now "humbled" and a christian when he made fun of people on the hills for their religion and beliefs...GIVE ME A BREAK!

Al was AWESOME during that interview! It's about time someone talked to Speidi in that way! I don't understand why they think they are 'above' everyone else - they are ridiculous! Great job, Al!!! And ... Meredith - shame on you!!! Al showed guts doing an interview in a way that the public wants it done - he didn't play it SAAAFE! He went out there and did what needed to be done! As a fellow journalist, Meredith Viera, dealing with these 'snobby' celebrities, you should have applauded Al for his FANTASTIC interview and getting straight to the point! I think being on The View has warped your ideas of what being a journalist is all about!

Thank You Al for exposing these two publicity hungry, self absorbed and spoiled celebutants. I don't care how many times they praise Jesus, they obviously know nothing about compassion, giving, being human or being kind. They are a perfect example of whats wrong with their generation.

Al didn't do anything wrong. He asked a question and Heidi wasn't answering the question. He was calm in his asking and in no way did he come across as not liking women like Heidi is saying. Heidi and Spencer need to get a clue about the real world and grow up!

The real question should be what horrible thing did Al do to be saddled with interviewing those two half-wits? Seriously, how can you interview people with their heads shoved so far up their own butts! I personally felt bad for Al.

Al in no way was "attacking" these "reality" drama queens. It's just too bad Al didn't get the chance to deck Spencer! These two (Spencer and Heidi) need a serious reality check.

I think Al let them off too easy. Heidi and Spencer are spoiled brats and should not get all this attention.

Al missed the point that feelings do not have to be extremes. If you are not ashamed does not mean you must be proud. Heidi was in the middle, maybe content, satisfied. He could have asked how do you feel rather than force an answer.

The initial interview, I will not question. My problem is with Al Roker this morning on the show defending himself. Al was a total jerk. Thank goodness for Meredith Vieira this morning trying to bring Al out of the gutter and keep the segment respectable. I personally do not like Al Roker and find him a bit on the hateful side. He is the weather man. Fine. I no longer watch the Today show because of him and the overall liberal bias the show has become. This morning I decided to give the show another chance, and I am stuck listening to Al Roker tell us how he would have dropped kicked some young man across the station. Impressive, not. Why do you bother interviewing these people of you are going to turn around and attack them. Ann Curry and Meredith Vieira are the only two reputable people you have on the today show anymore besides Kathy Lee Gifford and her co-host. Thank you.

Al was absolutely right.Heidi was avoiding the question,but Al got her back to it.He has done his job very well.Heidi was NOT at all proud of their behavior which showed on her face and was stunned by Al's question.

And for Spencer,somebody tell him that he is out of that "Celebrity" show.So he should stop accusing people as he did on the "I m a c, g m o o h" show.It was not right how he talked about Al.

I thought Al was perfect putting those two stupid people in their place! I never even heard of Spencer and Heidi until 2 weeks ago. Who cares about them??

Sometimes allowing stupid people to illuminate their stupidity is just as effective as continually asking the same question.

Al should try his interviewing skills on politicians, finance officers, and auto maker CEOs.

I was so glad when Spencer and Heid left "Get Me Out of Here" because I like the show but thought that two were disruptive and not fun to watch at all. Who are they anyway? Oh! I know! "Two people who should be banned from entering 30 Rock ever again".

Heidi and Spencer are engineering this charade. I can't wait for these airheads to fade into oblivion.

Was Al a bit hostile? Yes. Are Spencer and Heide a bit crazy? Yes, but they had been invited to the show and I doubt they thought it was to be attacked. There is a reason why NBC had them on "I'm a Celebrity"... because they're controversial, and get the ratings, whether we like it or not. They're not the first ones to get famous becasue of this and they will not be the last.

These are two of the most vacuous babies ever to hit the television screen. They are upset because someone persisted in politely confronting them with a question that they either did not understand or really didn't want to answer, but which everyone would want to ask if they cared enough to do so.
