Absolutely. RFK was a distant second banana, wanted what his older brother had by simply riding coat tails and waiting for opportunity.
Is there a single Kennedy out there who hasn't taken advantage of the opportunity to have an affair? Who knows? This is not news. Ho hum.
The entire Kennedy family is sleazy - why not believe this?

Actually, this was pretty widely known at the time. JFK was busy with Marilyn Monroe too.
Jackie's father, Blackjack, was pretty much the same and widely known for it too.
Jackie had her wild side. JFK & she went to Italy while she was pregnant and she was waterskiing. She had a bad fall and lost that child. The Italians were scared stiff they'd be sued because of it.
The rules were different then. Presidential dalliances were overlooked as were serious illnesses and their related drug usage.

No lawsuits, no disclosures! If their wives put up with it. so be it. Jack wanted to be Frank Sinatra anyway! It was the swingin 60's for gosh sakes!! And they were the cool ones. The only one we've never heard from is Ethel. Camelot, Spamelot" Jackie made that one up after Jack got killed. Adults they were: Jackie even saw "porn" films of the day (I Am Curious Yellow) ooohhh!! And then she married for money!!! They were all cool with it: we're uptight about it! I agree....like who cares? Why can't these greedy mudslingers just leave those people alone? They made their lives miserable while they were alive and now they toment their children. So what if Jackie and Robert had a thing. It was nobody else's business. Just drop it already!
AHHH but they did, Jack Robert Ted and their horrible father Joseph didn't even hide his affair from his wife Rose, she talked about it years later. She stayed because of the prestige, money and the kids! Come on, politicians are having flings like anyone else they just get secret service to cover them up, face it if the men do it's possible the women would to. After all Jackie knew about Jacks affairs, all of them. That is what life is like in the White House and Senate. I see people trying to make a buck on anyone these days, personally who cares it doesn't affect me! Since when does Loyalty fit into their lives anyway, in fact I bet most politicians haven't heard of the words Trust, Loyalty or Truth!

"seems like the rules for adultery and infidelity have been the same for millenia" why do american puritans think thats the way the world works when their own bible is full of harems and slave girls and polygamy. most of the world has a more tolerant view of marriage, especially for the wealthy and powerful. look at our modern movie stars. the main reason common people stay married is that they cant afford to break up/ live alone, and they also dont have the opportunity to meet people because they cant afford the travel or the time off work. having wealth and power is also very attractive. from jefferson to eisenhower, powerful people have fooled around. reagan was a hollywood divorcee, but when rove had nothing to say about clintons job performance, he had to attack clintons love life (rove himself has never had one and it shows). i personally dont think this story is true, but i hate all the kennedy bashing. their family has done a lot more to serve their country than most rich republicans who like to pick up men in public bathrooms or go awol for some south american strange stuff. what a bunch of unclassy clowns.
Why didn't the "writer" choose something that was FACTUAL and CONTEMPORARY? Say, for example, Mark Sanford's numerous and proven affairs, rather than the writer's imaginary one???
Imagine that - a person named "Bushhater" giving blanket amnesty to all persons named Kennedy. Listen, groupie, the Kennedy's, starting with Joe Sr., were all about themselves. Money, prestige and power. The "good" you claim they provided (our current welfare system) was a political means for them to consolidate their power. That was such a successful strategy that they were "canonized" and are still worshipped today by the citizens of the welfare state they helped create. John was a mediocre politician, Robert was a product of nepotism and Ted was a drunk womanizer who unfortunately, could swim.
The kennedy family great at paying to keep information quiet. Over the years they have payed out more hush money than Micheal jackson. The kennedy family starting with Joe are high class white trash at its finest.
I am only TOO HAPPY to notice that most people COULD CARE LESS like me. Why is this even a topic?
I certainly would not put it past the Kennedy Boys, but I find it hard to believe Jackie would participate.

Well it looks like every other politician is doing it so perhaps they did. The bigger point imo is that once someone dies you can say anything you want, true or not.

Were probably pretty lonely sad people after the JFK was killed.. how many times have a few drinks, old stories, hugs & emotions put folks beyond the point of no return.. Love em hate em. the Kennedy's don't owe this country a damn thing for what thier family sacrificed.... One thing is sure, they loved each other, each others children, and thier entire family.. The Kennedy Boys had the Irish gift of eloquence and charm.. and women adored them. May the person without sin, cast the the first stone!!
All of the Kennedy boys seem to have real problems with monogamy. What a disappointment for their fans in and out of the press.

In the first place, what difference does it make if they did or not? Secondly, it's pretty lousy to spread stuff like this when neither party is around to defend themselves. The author is just digging for gold.

Well, it was rumored, even at the time, that JFK passed Marilyn over to RFK in order to keep her busy, because Jacquie was getting very suspicious, or beyond. . I have no problem with RFK having some fun with Jacquie after JFK was dead, as long as that slimeball Teddy didn't get to join in.

The rich and famous live completely different lives than the rest of us. Affairs of the heart are quite common among them. The Kennedys and the Bouviers certainly fit in with the rest of their class. I just find it amazing that people still seek this kind of information when the principles are long gone. Let them rest in peace and let Caroline have her good memories of her parents.
