Do you plan to use Google OS?

Google says that its forthcoming Chrome operating system will be so secure that "users don't have to deal with viruses, malware and security updates." But Google's claim is being met with skepticism within the Internet security world.

the virus pool for any other OS is next to NIL vs anything Microsoft. The reason behind this is just like a cheaply made car, the parts are all exposed to damage, you can play with whats under the hood very easily. Google and Apple, have battened down the hatches to where its pretty difficult to mess with the core of the system. Which is what Google and Apple are aspiring to do with computers. Microsoft is really designed for the 'geek' in the Gen pop. Google and Apple have and will be designing their OS for the rest of the population. There is nothing to worry about with these 2 OS's.

The future of TV is as the monitor of a computer with a browser as its primary interface.  That is because Internet TV will eventually be comparable in picture quality to cable TV.  It's a question of bandwidth and compression schemes, not an inherent technological limitation.  (Many homes already use the same cable for both cable TV and broadband Internet.)  Once you decide that you want your computer to be primarily a browser, it becomes possible to take a lot of cost out of it.  And that is where TV-computer convergence is going to come from.  Google is in a much better position than Microsoft or Apple to provide this, because Microsoft's business model requires it to supply an operating system for general purpose computing, while Apple's business model requires it to provide the same thing at a slightly higher price point.  Both Microsoft and Apple are inherently too expensive to provide the operating system for a browser-based TV system, but Google is well-positioned to do that.  The Chrome browser works well (yes, it tracks; but so does Nielson), and Google already has YouTube.  The Google search engines is really an advertising machine that undoubtedly gives Google significant insight into the TV business, which is an advertising business.

Give me a break, you don't expect any objective views to be displayed on MSNBC do you since MSNBC is partially owner by Micro$oft.

All MSNBC wants to tell you is how great Internet Explorer 8 and BING are, any other operating systems or browsers are just trash.
