An influx of HIV+ patients could lead to another association to a particular race, thus CREATING more discrimination. I see this backfiring

No. HIV is a serious, costly disease. Why invite the spread and the expense?

1) cost of treatment
2) cost of other involved services--we can't even take care of ours
3) more infected people = more chance of spread

The current ban is based on unreasoning fear, not knowledge of the facts about the disease.

If other countries were excluding our citizens for no better reason than that they were HIV-positive, or voted Republican, it would be war.

You can only get HIV by sharing needles or having unprotected sexual contact with others who have HIV. Period. End of story.

More free health care? More spread of the disease? Why do people not stop and think and use their common sense?

Like it's even enforced in the first place,&, after years of research & development, it no longer stands as reasonable to continue this ban

We let people with much more easily communicable diseases into the country, HIV positive travelers are not a huge threat.

Please stop the ignorance. This Travel ban discriminates wrongly against HIV carriers, without providing any protection against the spread
