If the quarterback gels by game three, then we have the ability to win the north as well as the conference.

As long as Blaine Gabbert comes out firing like expected, Missouri should repeat as conference champs.  However, they will not get a BCS bowl game and play in a bowl like the Alamo as they did last year.

If Missouri's offense has stalled completely after losing Maclin, Coffman, and Chase Daniel, which is quite possible, Kansas and Nebraska will fight it out and leave Missouri in 3rd.

The Tigers are going to come out supprising a lot of people. I see a lot of NU fans around here that don't think the Tigers will even make a bowl game...that will not happen. I see the Tigers finishing first in the north with a 9-3 record.

Nebraska beat Kansas last year. Mizzu crumbled in the last few games, losing to Kansas.

The booger-eater left. I would pick the big 12 as:

            1. Nebraska

            2. Kansas

            3. Colorado

            4. Kansas State

            5. Iowa State

            6. Missouri

Ruben..I'm a Husker as well but you have to be out of your mind picking Mizzou last? I look for them to either finish first in the North or tied for first with us. Kansas doesn't know football and have been on a fluke run ever since the AD got them into the Orange Bowl using politics and back alley tactics. No surprises using money to gain advantage but they are a basketball school only. They will crumble this year.

                My picks:

                1. Nebraska

                1.-2. Missouri

                3. Kansas State

                4. Kansas

                5. Colorado

                6. Iowa State

Kansas may be better than Nebraska this year (maybe) but due to their tougher schedule, Nebraska will likely win the North.

Truthseeker, Nebraska is no longer a football school. Nobody wants to live in Nebraska. Nobody wants to live in Nebraska. Stop being delusional.

Kansas is now a football school becasue it's AD is a money guy. Hmmmmm, I think it takes money to make anything succesful in college sports. It's a bummer-reality, but maybe Nebraska should start forking it out too; the appeal of Lincoln won't rebuild the program alone.

This must be the STUPIDEST post I have ever read. Kansas spends more money than Nebraska on football? Let’s compare facilities pal.

                  Nebraska capacity 81,000

                  Kansas capacity 52,000

Just a troll trying to get a rise out of posters. Any recruit who visits both Lawrence and Lincoln knows the difference in programs. Nebraska has A) infinitely better facilities B) a long and storied history including national championships, Heisman trophies, etc and C) a passionate fanbase (KU may never know about this one even if they find a way to get something out of A and B). KU is and ALWAYS will be a basketball school no matter if the football program ever becomes something more than a middle-of-the-road big XII team.

Why the big fuss over this Snyder fellow? Who wouldn’t be successful in such a dream setup? After all:
QB - starting a 6th yr sr that was heading for E. Kentucky, had never started at two schools, and arrived in the fall.
FB - starting a true freshman who came as a greyshirt when no one else offered a conventional schollie.
RB - starting a JC QB who arrived in the fall, backed by a JC walk on from last year that was buried on the depth chart.
WR - starting the smallest guy in Div I (or whatever its called now) and another guy who’s RS got yanked late last year by Prince in return for virtually no PT, backed by a converted RB from last year and a converted QB from this year.
OL - starts only 1 sr and 3 guys with little or no PT from ’08.
DL - while our 245 lb DT has had to change positions,we do still start a converted LB with virtually no PT in ’08, a converted TE that arrived in the fall, and a transfer that sat out last year. Plus a key backup converted from QB during this year. Oh yea, the best player on defense (the team?) has been hurt all year.
DB - starts a walk on who converted from WR in the spring, a S that converted from QB midway thru last year, and 2 new transfers, one of whom arrived in the fall. They’re backed by 2 true freshmen, 1 soph converted from RB in the spring, and 2 transfers that arrived, respectively, in the fall and about 2 weeks ago.
In summation, Snyder falls into smooth running program, a goldmine of talent, and scoops up all the credit. Anyone else tired of this guy's act? Snyder is what coaching is all about.
