Akron will win the East. Too much returning talent and all the stars are aligned.
The Zips have more elite talent than any other team in the MAC except maybe Central Michigan. It will all come down to execution which the Zips have not always been good at. The pieces are in place, the new stadium is in place, it is now time for the Zips to achieve.
IMHO there's no one with a shot at the MAC East outside Akron. Look to see Akron vs. CMU in the MAC Championship.
In other news, Ohio U and Kent are probably going to be dropping to FCS in the near future.

Akron has too much to play for to go below .500 Zips will destroy
18 returning starters and some new additions to the offensive backfield to buttress an already strong run game along with a ton of depth on the d-line will add up to a MAC championship.

The Ohio Bobcats have it this year, Akrons played pretty poor this season and the bobcats are doing well. The bobcats are goign to beat akron and the only challenge they have after that is Temple.
