Definitely. The lower price point and comparable features will grab market share.

No way. People won't give up their iPods or convert their music.

I love my Zune. I found it to be a much higher quality device then my iPod. And I don't have to use iTunes!

Not only will it compete, it's going to kick Apple's core. Its slick, flashy and just plain cool.

Anyone who isn't yet trapped by the DRM of another music service should definitely consider the Zune HD.

I think the Zune fans are overlooking something: the brainwashed masses. Good luck to Microsoft, but the public only knows "iPod."

I love Zune. The reason i got the zune was for the Zune software which in my opinion is way better organized, has better capabilities, and features. This new Zune HD now takes all advantages Apple may have had. You get way better software, Xbox video compatability and great new touch screen interface with a 33 hour battery life!!!!!!!!!!

Why would anyone want to interface with XBox when it is so glitchy and unreliable? I know many, many of the unwashed XBox masses who are on their second or even third XBox 360? The Apple computer shell used in testing was the only quality part of the prototype 360!

Obviously if people are sticking with the 360 into their third or fourth console, they must like it quite a bit or they would have given up on it already. Think about it: if some crappy game system you had broke, would you actually keep it or do the logical thing and try to get rid of it? Since people are sticking with the 360, it's obviously not as bad as you make it seem, or at least has some redeeming qualities.

Windows Media Player is not user-friendly so that's the deal breaker for me. I'll stick with my iPod and iTunes!

No Zune to date has used WMP, and I seriously doubt the Zune HD will either.

Zune HD will use Zune 4.0 software, which, based on what Zune 3.0 software is like, won't resemble Windows Media Player in the least.

The journalist who wrothe this article about the Zune vs iPod suggests the Zune will have the possibility of a dock, while the iPod has a dock already...I have one & it works very well!

The Zune HD (like the Zune 30 Zune 80, and Zune 120) will have an available dock for viewing HD (1080p) video on a TV. A dock for a Zune is by no means a new thing, since there have been docks since the very first Zune.
