Some of the most exciting moments I've ever witnessed in golf! Tom W within 1 stroke of winning at 59 - amazing!

PGA. Hands down. Face it: a major w/o Tiger in the hunt on Sunday is handicapped. A major where Tiger is hunted down by the 110 ranked player in the world is history.

59-year old Tom Watson taking on and beating the world's best? Are you kidding me? The number one golfer on the planet can't even make the cut at the Open Championship, and here's Tom Watson one putt away from unprecedented golf history. This vote is not even close. You'll never see anything like that again.

Because the us open was determined in the last few holes, won by glover, but in the hunt was duval- gets my vote on an othersie challenging course where leaders were changing hole by hole

If Tiger takes Driver out of his bag he will win more Majors or go back to Butch if he wants better results. Nicklaus and Tiger remain only two golfers that can win without playing their best...amazing talents!

For sheer excitement, the British Open wins hands down. Tom Watson was within one shot of winning at age 59. Fantastic. I must admit the PGA was great as well. Never has another golfer pulled off the "Tiger" shot "against" Tiger on the 72nd hole. Unfortunately, Tiger lost the opportunity to display the sportsmanship and class of Tom Watson in defeat by skulking away to lick his wounds. Despite all the great Tiger shots and wins, I'll still remember that.

                    Y. E. Yang was not intimidated by Tiger. Tigers dominance is being challenged every week on the tour by the young guns coming through the ranks.

i am astounded that in the wrap up on the tournaments of the year that the only name mentioned for the British Open was that of Tom Watson. Has everyone forgotten that Cink WON the tournament? I mean, really, what does one have to do to be recognized? He played brilliantly. In all the comments above mine on this website, speaking of Tom Watson, not ONE person names Cink. We are a very sad society.

What was Cink's position on the tour prior to this tournament? And i am not speaking of age.

As a golf writer last six years in Korea, I figured that KJ Choi had the best chance to win a major as the first Asian, if any and it would take at least five years or more or might never come to true. Now, his countryman YE Yang took the glory forever. You westerners will never know the names of King Sejong (inventor of Korean alphabets), Adm. Soon-sin Lee, or Gen. Chung-hee Park, but we 50-million Koreans are proud of them. However, as long as golf goes, the name YE Yang won't be erased at all.
