Dan Snyder

I am so glad I have been a Steelers fan for 35 years...no silliness like that spoiled brat Snyder. I hope the Redskins always go 0-16!!

An improvement over his father, but still the common denominator in the Lion's dismal history.

        William Clay Ford.

Who else had a team that went winless?

His own son had to convince him to fire Matt Millen.

I went with Ford just because of recent futility.
No bragging from me though. My teams' owners (Angelos and Snyder) are way up that list.

The McCaskeys in Chicago are pretty horrible too. Maybe not on the scale of these guys, but McCaskeys are very cheap and pretty old school

It's got to be Al Davis, but Bill Bidwell and Mike Brown are not larger than they appear in his rear view mirror. Daniel Synder is a complete tool and doesn't know much about football, but at least he's trying to put a winning product out there.

The guy who owns the Pittsburg Pirates. They are nothing but a minor league team. I heard the other day that they have had a losing season for 17 years in a row now and that is the worst of any pro team in any major sports league. Pityful with the new stadium that the Pa taxpayers had to help pay for.

I nominate Fred Wilpon of the Mets, he built a shrine to his Brooklyn Dodgers at Citifield. When the Met fans complained that there was no Met history or pictures at Citifield, he had the Met memoriabilia spread throughout the stadium. He promised changes to the squad and i'm still waiting for him to do something. The Mets are lacking a power hitting first baseman and outfielder, his payroll maybe the highest in the National League but it is not well spent. The players make horrendous baserunning and fielding mistakes and nothing was done to correct this. Fred please sell the team and count  your money !!!

are you kidding?!?! the mets made HUGE changes this offseason. they fired their bench coach and first base coach. that's definitely gonna cause 2010 to be a huge breakout/turnaround year.

Peter Angelos is the only man I could conceive of who could so monumentally carry out such a decimation of an historically successful franchise for this length of time.  12 years of a losing record?  For the Orioles, home of Cal Ripkin, Brooks and Frank Robinson, Jim Palmer, Mark Belanger, and so many more hall of famers?  Numerous pennants and several World Series rings?  The O's finish at the bottom of the division every year.  We used to be at least ahead of Tampa Bay, which was an EXPANSION TEAM at the time of his ownership reign.  I am surprised that he hasn't hired bodyguards by now, given how our city feels about him.

Go Ravens! As an avid O's fan for 20 years who generally ignored football, I am beginning to learn what is to me a new sport!  The man was given the most  beautiful stadium in the country, milked it for every dollar he could, and then ditched any responsibility for the people who made it all possible for him.  A curse on him forever!

I agree. Larry Dolan is terrible. Both Dolans should be banned from owning sports teams.

                                                    Al Davis has won championsips.

Bill Ford Sr has won little and turned the Lions into an Acronym: Loosing Is Our Neverending Shame..

As bad as Bill Bidwill is, and he is definitely one of the worst, Al Davis has taken a once well-respected team and turned it into the laughing stock of the NFL. When opposing players say that facing the Raiders is little more than having a scrimmage, something is wrong - very wrong!

What about the Yorks? The free fall the niners took after the ownership change has to some knid of record.

That isn't the Yorks' fault.  That was Debartolo when he mortgaged the future in the 90's.  It took 10 years to fix that and the 9ers are actually making progress.  Last year injuries hurt them but they sholdve been 8-8.  This year they will make a division run.

But Fred Wilpon definately has to be on this list because he doesn't know how to hire a GM.  He let Steve Phillips ruin the franchise and then Omar is making Phillips look good. And to the person who questioned why should be on the list, 2010 is going to be worse than 09. Count on it.

William Clay Ford..Detroit Lions. In a LANDSLIDE is the worst. NFL record 0-16 (0-19 on the road). How do you spell PLAYOALFS!!!! How do you explain Barry Sanders, who could have comfortably established all time record for rushing in the upcoming season, yet HE QUITS before season begins. There were no contract disputes, no outside personal issues. Frankly Barry and the dozens of other quality players have had dismal careers with the Lions. The only common thread in the last 40 years is WILLIAM CLAY FORD. The man is BAD CHEMISTRY!!!!

I'm really glad that Pittsburg has Nutting and we (Colorado Rockies) don't. I'm also glad that Al Davis refuses to leave... for much the same reason. As long as those guys are there then their franchises will be cancer.....

(And prior to him, Kevin McClatchy was just as bad, if not worse...) Sorry, sports fans, but 17 years of non-stop losing, with NO END IN SIGHT and NO REAL DESIRE for a winner, makes this buffoon the "king" of "worst owners"!

Although I am a Cowboys fan, I endure going to many Redskin games every year (too complicated to get into). I don't like the Redskins, but it sure would be nice to see a halfway decent game every now and again. Dan Snyder has wrenched the hearts out of the entire Redskins organization including the coaches, players, and fans. I have heard story after story of people dropping their season tickets that they spent (up to 20) years on a waiting list to get. $8 beers, even stopped up bathrooms at the stadium last year and all to see a team with a horrible quarterback and an even worse owner. So sad. Dan Snyder needs to give up his expensive toy.
