Cablevision plans to begin showing "interactive" advertisements to its cable customers next month, according to the Wall Street Journal, and other cable companies are following suit. The push is to make TV a "lean-forward" medium, says one Comcast exec.

Once a week, in most every state in America, there is a free paper put out that is full of advertisements. You can usually find everything for sale in one, from the smallest ad consisting of one old sewing machine stand, ($10) all the way up to a Lincoln Navigator ($20,000).
