Transcending Anarcho-SemanticsSource: mises.org
There is a reoccuring problem that occurs within internal libertarian and anarchist discourse that I like to call the anarcho-semantics problem.

Kind of tired of people pushing this message of government being the ultimate evil, this tyrant this awful thing. Well, I'm fairly sure that I like government far less than most of the people denouncing it.

There is a large population of Libertarians on Newsvine. This group makes up the majorety of the conservative thought here. I thought it would be interesting to find out what camp my Libertarian friends fall into in their policy beliefs.

About a week ago I posted a request for all the questions anyone may have about Libertarianism. You responded prolifically, enthusiastically and with some real interesting and sometimes quite difficult questions. Now it is my turn to provide you some answers.

I received a few e-mails from yesterday's post/slashdot-crosspost, Couple Who Catch Cop Speeding Could Face Charges (Newsvine link). Here is one such e-mail:

While I found anarcho-capitalism mostly through self-inquiry (and a lot of reading of every political and apolitical), I also see a significant case for anarcho-capitalism within the Bible (notably the New Testament).

Christ did not vote. He didn't. He didn't talk about voting, He didn't promote Christians to support government or Caesar. There is no reason to think He would have supported it.

The oil industry and market has been destroyed by State regulations, control, war-mongering and subsidies. The more the State has become involved in energy regulation, the higher prices have gone and the lower supplies have dropped.

For years I have been contemplating how society could exist in a truly free market of anarcho-capitalism, or what I call a Unanimocracy โ governing by unanimous consent and contract.

Price gouging is a fallacy, a myth. It does not exist in a free market and "price gouging" actually saves consumers and doesn't hurt them.

I don't care where you were born or where you live. It doesn't matter to me. Mexican, Polish, Russian and Jewish people live in my neighborhood: some first generation. They own their homes. Most of them own their homes for cash, no mortgage funded by Asian investors.

I recently had my car's oil changed; I don't do it myself (although I should). The mechanic charged around $20 for labor and parts and performed it in about 20 minutes or so.

Unanimity - Agreement by everyone โ a 100% vote for one thing.
Anonymity - Without a name โ The ability to keep one's identity private

I've been doing a lot of research on entrepreneur James J. Hill. One of the first places to go to for some basic facts has always been Wikipedia.1 The James J.
