Marijuana: Less Dangerous Than Aspirin - The Daily Dish Source: The Daily Dish
I don't for a minute buy cannabis "fatalities". It's impossible to kill yourself with pot. The press reports "cannabis-related" deaths which is surreal. David McCandless, who devised the graph and runs Informationisbeautiful, adds:

While many ordinary gentlemen respect and admire Andrew Sullivan, despite occasional or even regular disagreements, I don't. I despise the man--ironically, I despise him more and more as his views become more and more in accord with my own.
Andrew Sullivan Supports "Birthers"Source: The Daily Dish
But why are we supposed to rely on the testimony of Dr Fukino, whom I believe entirely. It is not my job as a journalist or yours as a citizen to take public officials on trust. They are not to be trusted, whoever they are. It is our job to demand all the evidence we want or need.

Ever since Andrew Sullivan did a turn on Israel during the recent Gaza conflict (which, by the way, appears to have met its immediate goal, despite all the know-it-all naysayers who said it would fail in even that), I have been trying to get a grasp on just how far he turned.

Andrew Sullivan: If it's war we want, McCain will deliverSource: The Times

"Disgrace", Ctd.Source: The Daily Dish
My rage at Bush has not caused me to accuse the man of war crimes. Bush's war crimes are what caused my rage. I started this war not as a Bush-hater, but as a Bush-defender. I started it dismissing the first rumors of torture at Gitmo as enemy propaganda.
Andrew Sullivan - "Time Out?"Source: The Daily Dish
I gotta say I've been feeling the same thing the past week or so. Don't know that I could bring myself to tune out until August, but it's an interesting thought...
