Continental Airlines Inc. has decided to opt out of its deal for its name to appear on the home of the NBA's New Jersey Nets and the NHL's New Jersey Devils, the arena's owner said Tuesday.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, citing unidentified sources, reported that the sides have reached agreement on terms for a new arena that will be ready for operation for the 2009-10 season. A spokesman for Mayor Luke Ravenstahl said he knew nothing of a deal.
