DAY DAWNERS
Awake day dawners,
you sleepy yawners!
A new day dawns,
life's chasm yawns!

You can find news anywhere. North, East, West and South, news is available just about anywhere, anytime. The real trick is to report what that news means in a way that is relevant to the many.

SONNET IN BEE FLAT
There must be a place (but I've yet to find one)
beneath the Sol-drawn dawn of autumn skies
where cut-throat trout still find the heart to run
and the fullness of Summer's life never dies.

EQUINOX FOX
Vernon the aqua fox,
swim fast 'ere Summer's fall;
wade wide-streamed Autumn's lull.
Your rust red coat and socks
of white will fade at snowfall's call
and, hunting just to keep kits full,
at moon you'll howl and nip but fail
at Winter's icy onslought gale.

SEA KING
The sea.
The sea...
In my reverie,
I seek my tea.

Bill Ayers: "I wrote Dreams From My Father"Source: Chicago Daily Observer
Then, unprompted he said–I wrote Dreams From My Father. I said, oh, so you admit it. He said–Michelle asked me to. I looked at him. He seemed eager. He's about my height, short. He went on to say–and if you can prove it, we can split the royalties.

BY CYCLES FALL
Neaped by a circadian moon,
I'd reached for you in spring tide love,
you who under sighed lonely loon
and rose on drafts yon turtle dove.
So, my wide and dark Canadian sky,
I who lack June's lunar stare,
shall wither here upon this vine.

STALK MUSINGS
I ended up a stalk one night.
A stalk of beans you see
How I did, I do not know
Unless of course in dreams.
Stalked by beans? Beyond their means.
By harps that sing and talk?
The best of beans you see
Can talk to thee in dreams it seems.

HALF MOON (Short Version)

This elegantly written memoir traces [Eteraz's] relationship with the religion of his birth, from his childhood in Pakistan, where he feared beatings at the madrassa, to adulthood in the U.S. . . . Thoughtful and wry, he offers glimpses of a changing Pakistan and a U.S.

My normal search engine these days is Bing. Using Bing I came upon this site (url/link removed by author as possibly viral advertising) in preparation for this article.

The writer's road is paved with pot holes and detours. Unless you're a well-established author, a celebrity, or a politician, where publishing houses beat down your door with offers of huge contracts and advances, most writers are simply doing our best to just keep going.

I don't know if I have the exact quote or its author, but, I am going to say that the 18th Century writer and orator, Diderot, is responsible for:
"Make me laugh, make me cry, break my heart; only then, regal my eyes."
