Inside Seattle's enduring love affair with BumbershootSource: The Seattle Times
Seattle Times music critic Patrick MacDonald sat down with Norm Langill, the One Reel executive who has been a part of Bumbershoot since the 1970s, to talk about how Seattle's music and arts festival has changed over the decades.

After an intentionally slow Saturday – besides Beck there were no absolute must sees – we headed back to Bumbershoot Sunday for a whammy of an evening. Everything we planned to see was packed into the last five hours of the day.

We started the day refreshed, slept in, and took our sweet time getting to the festival. After the suck that was yesterday, we were stoked at the efficiency and consideration of the festival organizers, One Reel.

As you're reading this, realize we made it to Seattle. Oh, but was it an adventure.

I am northbound this weekend, flying to Seattle for the 38th annual Bumbershoot Music & Arts Festival. Instead of looking forward to school I get to anticipate 3 days of all things art in a city I've never seen.

This weekend I'll be traveling with my partner in crime to Seattle for the sold out Bumbershoot Music & Arts Festival. Just looking at the breadth of this festival strikes fatigue in my bones.
