After over a year of being gone, the Vinecast is BACK. It'll will be running weekly on Wednesdays. Here's the first brand-spanking new episode.....show notes below....

I had to skip a week, due to snow storms and work keeping me offline for 3 days straight, so to make up for that this is my Newsvine equivalent of a double album, with about 20 articles give or take one or two, instead of the standard ten

Sources report that internet/world scholar Celestina Adams and Geekfreak extraordinaire Brad LeClerc have accidentally created a cyberrace of uberintelligent and artistic beings.

If you are one of those Viners - and there are tons- who have not yet got the supreme accolade of a top story on the front page (I was privileged twice!) you would have been sorely disappointed.

Starting last week I made good on my New Year's resolution to start to write a list on a regular basis of the best articles I've read written by other Newsviners.

Once upon a time, in a universe existing primarily in the spaces between computers, two stalwart adventurers met on the road. One, an adventurous musician with a weakness for rubber chickens. The other, an idealistic lunatic with a penchant for awkward linguistic constructions.

Newsvine Survivor's meta challenge brought us quite a few ideas for the future of Newsvine. Celestina's entry, Stepping It Up A Notch: A Vision For Newsvine, gave us the notion of a Newsvine file photo archive, or photo pool.

I was writing a response to a question from Phaedrus, one of my good Newsvine friends, on another thread today. My response had to do with how to avoid getting too angry at ideological foes during our online debates.

I'd like to try something new. There are a lot of folks around here who have interesting things to say. I'd be interested in hearing about the following subjects from the following people:

One thing that stuck me as interesting, is that Cash informed me on the way back that the other Vinemeet attendees were quite nervous to meet each other. Kymlee's recent post confirms this, where she writes,

She dwelled among the treetops and stared for miles.
From far away her wings looked all a blaze.
She's hungry again tonight.
She shall feast upon spirits.

I have the usual dreams.

So, I was tagged by Scoop Butki. This means I get the opportunity to talk about myself. The rules of "tagging" are:

Hey kids - it's interview time! I haven't published one of these in a while, but I have a few stockpiled. Today I'm going to bring you an interview with everyone's favorite cool head and even tone, Celestina.

16 Newsviners met in Columbus, Ohio.
7 of them traveled from out of state.
4 of them have been awarded the Random Act of Vineness.

Starting this week I'm going to begin recommending articles that I think are definitely worth reading.
I am doing this for three reasons:
1.

Greetings, customers and welcome to last comicviners standing.

Celestina forgot to mention an important bit of vinespeak during a recent interview on WPVM 103.5 and brainshrub.com, the RAV.

This weekend, I had a new experience: I was interviewed for a local radio station about my writing on Newsvine and elsewhere. I am going to tell y'all straight...I thought I was a wreck going into it. That's nothing compared to what you do to yourself when you hear the results.

I read Celestina's impassioned and wonderful letter to her old love, the Democratic party. The following article resulted.

The Weekly Vinecast continues to amaze as it releases its fourth episode. And this one has a special bonus as we solve all of Society's problems
Don't worry, it's our job.
