Several weeks ago I made a comment on the vine and disagreed with the author...and he promptly deleted my comment..so I made another and he deleted that, and another and another...We'll I think you get the picture by now..there was nothing that violated the COH...he just disagree …

If it is your quest to come to the vine and dish out dirt and insult conservatives/Republicans..do not be surprised if we respond in kind..Most of the time There is a lot of well thought out reasoning that goes on here at the vine, but ocassionally it turns into mudslinging and fo …

This is an answer/comment/statement that was originally written in the context of the news vine article, "Is What the Religious Feel Hate", Thus its overarching sense is towards the authors LDS afiliation, the context it was written for.

They are both part of propaganda campaigns to demonize and scapegoat an alien "Other."

I joined this forum about two months ago and found it to be a refreshing place to be on the web for news and for feedback from people around the globe.

Since Bob B Pumpkin was a small gourd beginning his life in a South Carolina pumpkin patch, he knew that his life had great meaning. He never doubted that his bright orange rind would be used to change the world someday.

It was a long weekend. Much arguing, and much fussing. Part of the problem is a difference in outlooks on human nature, which prompts me to ask you this question: are people good or evil?
University students plagiarized parts of honor code Source: USA Today
Their goal was an honor code that discouraged cheating and plagiarizing.
However, the wording in a draft by students at the University of Texas at San Antonio appears to match another school's code — without proper attribution.

We are happy to announce the new Code of Honor. After much consideration and valuable feedback provided by the Newsvine community, the revised Code of Honor offers a set of rules that we hope will foster and shape Newsvine in the days, weeks and months to come.

Recently, there's been a lot of talk about the Code of Honor here at Newsvine. We've got the Newsvine Cyborg Blog actually writing two posts, for crying out loud! But the main problem seems not to be with the code itself.

The blog cyborg is a terrible thread moderator.

The Newsvine Blog Cyborg apparently needs to write with a little more clarity. Let's try this again:
1. Newsvine will be updating the Code of Honor shortly.

Let me start out by saying that I am against censorship in all of its forms. People should be allowed to speak. People should be allowed to say whatever they like. Certain places have rules, such as Newsvine, but those are community rules.

Look, I long ago tired of meta articles. I think they're necessary on occasion, and I know there's still a band of oldbies and even some newbies who like to keep things straight in Newsvine.

I would like to introduce Emily, Newsvine Team member #7 and Community Moderator.

Kurt Vonnegut wrote about the benefits of editing. Moreover, it seems that the standard online is to edit errors in or update articles, even from sources like AP. Often times I find an article even has a new title.

Okay, everyone. This will be short and sweet.
I've created a group to which articles and seeds by suspected spammers of Newsvine can be clipped. You may find it at Newsvine Spammers.
Meta: Society of Professional Journalists: Code of EthicsSource: Society of Professional Journalists
I think we all have at least a passing acquaintance with the Code of Honor but a lot of the complaints about violating the COH are motivated by perception or even occasionally a personality conflicts, and even once in a while as a because of ideology clashes.

In the course of my participation at Newsvine I have commented that it is unrealistic to believe that paid, corporate and political plants are not among us.
CNBC's Fast Money Recap Sept 25thSource: Jim Cramer Blog
The crew at Fast Money discussed how retail stocks may be affected by the whipsaws of trading. Najarian pointed at that while stocks were down early, technology names recovered. According to Macke, investors shot first and didn't bother to ask the questions in the retail sector.

Even before I took "hiatus" from the Vine for a short time, I was tiring of how things were. The glory days seem to have come and gone, as well as much of the intelligent discourse that was initially a draw.
Is Newsvine The Next SEO Hater? Source: notimetoburn.net
I'm happy to see more posts like this one, where people are admitting that driving SEO traffic from Newsvine to their sites is very difficult at best.

In most cases, claims of anti-Semitism are really claims of anti-Americanism, with Americans rightly embarrassed that the greatest Empire in the world could so easily be destroyed through undermining by a tiny group of Jewish intellectuals and the Jewish Billionaires who fund the …
