Great photography does not follow rules

On another article the discussion was about the "rules" of photographic composition; e.g. thr rule of thirds, the rule of diagonals, etc. I said that while this is fine and dandy, it may help some to make better snapshots; it has nothing to do with the art of photography.

A very frequent question that I got from the previous emails is "what equipment do you use?", or "you must have a great camera". Whenever I hear that I smile and think yes I do have great equipment, but there is a bit more to it than that.

Hasselblad today announced a whopping new camera, the H3D11-50. That's right, they've done it again. 50 megapixels of goodness this time around, creating a 300MB file with each click of the shutter. Whoa!

I just purchased the Canon Powershot G9 and though I like it as a compact camera, I think this is one most accurate reviews of the camera. For the price tag, the camera has some issues that should be known about if you're considering buying it.
