I'm not a Republican. I'm not a Democrat. Although I like to tell people I'm a Libertarian, I'm really not. I'm unaffiliated with any political party. In fact I can't think of anything good that comes from political parties because they do just one thing, politics.

It was bad enough a few weeks ago when the Senate -- on the heels of debating a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage -- took up the not-so-burning issue of changing the Constitution to prohibit flag burning.

It's not like there's anything important going on in the country, is there? Still, I'm not sure which is worse: Congress doing nothing, or Congress doing anything.
