A Perfect End to an Imperfect Summer (UPDATED with additional photos)

I recognize that Labour Day is not the real end of summer, but when that weekend is over we often suddenly notice the chill in the evening air, the children on their way to school in the morning and the ever-decreasing number of vacation days remaining at our disposal.

A northwest side gas station was boarded up on Friday after an SUV plowed through the front of the building. The crash happened just before 7 a.m. at the Marathon Convenience Station at 56th Street and Georgetown Roads, said Sgt. Matthew Mount.

A pickup plowed through the wall of a Bremerton church and landed deep inside the building Wednesday afternoon. Video from Chopper 7 showed a white truck wedged so far inside Our Savior's Lutheran Church that it could barely be seen from the outside.
