The playoffs are starting two take shape. Four teams have their tickets to the post-season punched, and three of the remaining four are jockeying for position. Who will be the odd man out?

Playoffs in T minus three weeks and counting. Eric's last-minute playoff bid suffered a setback this week, but Brandon is doing his best to keep Eric's hopes alive. Let it never be said that he didn't pay Eric back for that Dirk trade.

The race for the playoffs is starting to heat up.

Week 15 sucked. I forgot to put in my guys following two blockbuster trades that will, surely, seal the championship for me in the long run. Wait, didn't one of those trades involve Richard Jefferson? Hmm...

We're back after a brief (lengthy) hiatus. Sorry about the wait, guys... At any rate, we're nearing that point in the NBA season when you start to realize that we all would've gotten the basic idea in about half as many games. Nonetheless, things are still going strong.

Wow. WOW. This week, the mighty were laid low as each of the top three teams suffered a different kind of shameful defeat. Mike's loss must sting in particular, as Chad officially got his first win of the season against the top team. Let's get right to it!

This week, the league pondered some deeper questions.

Basketball commentators love to talk about the importance of the bench. A deep bench gives your team a decided advantage down the stretch, both in a single game and in the whole season.

This week, the injury bug started to bite. In some cases it bit like a mosquito. In others it bit like a mosquito carrying some kind of apocalyptic flesh-eating mental-derangement virus, causing people to do and say things that no sane person would ever say.

Welcome fantasy sports fans! This article marks the beginning of a series wherein I will attempt to do two things:
Justify my induction into the Sports Writers Guild
Offer a crash course in fantasy NBA strategy

The season started off with a blockbuster trade, some down-to-the-wire matchups, and a couple… well, good old-fashioned beatings. Let's break down the action so far:

The time has come! The 2007-08 NBA season tips off this week. More interestingly for some, the fantasy NBA season tips off as well.

Fantasy Bull Sports with the scoop (not Jackson). Confirmation by way of Slam Magazine.
Atlanta Hawk sophomore Marvin Williams has broken a metacarpal bone and is now out for the first two months of the year.

...and the lottery fought.

Saw someone over on Fantasy Basketblog asking for the rest of the mock draft as a second opinion kind of thing. I'm a big believer in second opinions. In fact, I'm a big believer in 3rd, 4th, and 5th opinions.

Just a note: The Dropping Dimes Experts League draft is tomorrow night (Thursday) at 9pm Central (I hope). I might have to pull an all-nighter.
