Humanity

In November of 2004, my husband, Isaac and I went on vacation to Maui with my Dad and his wife Lynne. While we were there, Lynne drowned in the Pacific Ocean. This experience was, of course, devastating.

Mortality

According to a document published by the Hawaii State Department, in 2004, drowning deaths of non-residents in Hawaii reached an all-time high of 39. I witnessed the death of one of these tourists. It was my stepmother, Lynne Moore.
