Flickr is an image hosting and video hosting website, web services suite, and online community created by Ludicorp in 2004 and later acquired by Yahoo! in 2005.

There has been some discussion on the web as of late about image ownership on photo sites so we wanted to take a moment to address this on Flickr.

TechCrunch is reporting that Flickr has cited "Community Guidelines" for censoring an Egyptian blogger's uploaded photos of Egyptian Secret Police. The photos in question were originally uploaded by Hossam Hamalawy, aka Arabawy to his Flickr account here.
