It started with a tipsy joke, but ended with a full-blown Bedrock wedding as the perfect way to lay the foundations of a new life together.

Fred Flintstone of Bedrock, USA died peacefully on November 18 after a year-long battle with lung cancer. He was diagnosed with the disease by doctors at the Bedrock Cartoon Characters Retirement Home.

I love alternate openings to TV shows. Especially with shows, to which, I am well acquainted. This is was what you saw when you tuned into "The Flintstones" during it first 2 seasons (1960-1962).

Phil Collins tried out for a children's TV show about singing and flying bug people. "The Bugaloos," a surprisingly sophisticated British group who wore antennas and wings.

Turner Broadcasting is scouring more than 1,500 classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons, including old favourites Tom and Jerry, The Flintstones and Scooby-Doo, to edit out scenes that glamorise smoking.

As I read through the comments of Ballews cartoon article, I found out that somebody likes The Flintstones. That's all well and good, I used to love the Flintstones. But that got me thinking about the Jetsons, and frankly, I hate them.

Which do you use?
I will admit, that I still use dial-up, but I am thinking of switching to Roadrunner. Mainly because the little pterodactyl that pops out of the side of the monitor to etch the Internet in stone for me is having trouble with Ajax.
