During these difficult economic times, gratitude would seem to be the last thing anyone is feeling... I thought so at first too...then I started thinking of things in a "different" way...
I am grateful that I have four healthy,caring,productive children.

It seems that I am awash as of late in a sea of negativity. It pulls at me and sucks all of my energy. I find myself responding in kind to all of the negativity and have become a person I don't like.

Gratitude could be my daily practice forever. It keeps me present and out of whining mode. No matter what is going on in my life, there is something to be grateful for. Thich Nhat Hanh reminds us to be grateful for a "non-headache" or a "non-toothache".
