After a 2-1 series against the #6 Michigan in the NCAA Tournament in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the Virginia Tech softball team advances to the Women's College World Series for the first time in the school's history.

Thousands gathered upon Virginia Tech's drill field today to dedicate a permanent memorial to the students lost in the tragic events of April 16.
