HSN Settles With Government

The Home Shopping Network has agreed to pay the government an $875,000 civil settlement after the government accused the company of failing to promptly warn consumers about dangerous pressure cookers that were blamed for burning consumers at least 37 times.

As cited last week, "Days of Our Lives" is making major cast cuts to stay on the air with a vastly reduced budget. Longtime stars Drake Hogestyn (John) and Deidre Hall (Marlena) will exit in January, followed by undetermined others.
