A recently-seeded article on medical advances in forestalling the effects of aging got me thinking. It seems like it is only a matter of time before science figures out how to drastically increase our lifespans.

People get old and people die, it's a well known fact of life, but it hasn't stopped humanity from searching for ways to extend and improve the quality of their lifespan.
