Worth Watching: Ti West's The House of the Devil TrailerSource: firstshowing.net
Speaking of gorgeous posters, I wouldn't have even noticed this trailer today if it weren't for its amazingly beautiful poster as well. It seems a bit off to describe a creepy poster for a horror movie as "beautiful," but there is really no better word.

I just grabbed Florence and the Machine's debut album, Lungs, and I have to say, "I'm Hooked".
Sunny Day Real Estate reunitesSource: A.V. Club
Sunny Day Real Estate is reuniting. In my opinion reunions like this seem like a good thing at first, but the charm is lost once you realize that the moment has passed and the band seems really dated. Still, I wouldn't mind seeing Sunny Day even though my emo days are long gone.

It's the music that came after the 60s when the boomers sold out and went to Wall Street. The leftover scraps of folk, prog, and psychedelia, warmed over to a gooey mush in a microwave and repackaged and sold to now middle-aged investment bankers as nostalgia.
Indie Bands Unite for Benefit AlbumSource: www.billboard.com
Some of the biggest names in independent music have banded together to record exclusive songs for "Dark Was the Night," a double-disc album whose proceeds will benefit the Red Hot organization's work with AIDS research.

I have to confess that I really let this series fall apart. I had wanted to pen an article each week but I guess I'm just too lazy for even that simple of a self assignment. Thus I will now promise to write one whenever I am really feeling a band.
Four Tet – Ringer EP (Domino, 2008)Source: Cobwebs and Strange
For the entirety of his career Frank Zappa sought the distinction and reverie afforded to classical composers. Even if his works were not thought of in the same light as his hero, Varèse, Zappa relished his inclusion into that cultural space.
