Hoekstra: U.S. Overclassifying Iraq Papers

The government is classifying too many documents confiscated since the 2003 Iraq invasion that might help rewrite the history on Saddam Hussein's rule, the House Intelligence Committee's Republican chairman said Tuesday.

First Declassified Iraq Documents Released

Iraqi documents collected by U.S. intelligence during the Iraq war and released by the Bush administration show Saddam Hussein's regime was investigating "rumors" that 3,000 Iraqis and Saudis had traveled unofficially to Afghanistan after the Sept. 11 attacks to fight U.S. troops.

There are actually four kinds of lies. Lies, damned lies, statistics, and documents. Selective leaks of phony nonsense in order to make a propaganda point is a real waste of taxpayer dollars.
